Thank you 😊😍
You’re welcome
Hi Akosua
Wanted to ask, did you need clearance with MOH before leaving ghana to work?
Yes dear. I left and had my brother so it for me. If you don’t do the clearance, NMC will not send your license for the transfer
@@nurse.akosua oh great
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Hello nurse Akosua pls I’m a nurse assistant clinical in Ghana what can I transfer my certificate as
@ nurse akosua . Pls if u have a diploma midwifery license and later switch to bsc nursing do you still have to write another licensing for the bsc nursing before you can work in the USA?
Hello Dora, I had the same credentials. I had diploma in midwifery and BSc nursing. I didn’t write any licensing for the nursing. I told cgfns that it’s not needed in Ghana to continue. Cgfns then contacted UG about that and I don’t know what they said to them. The next day, I had my report with BSN sent to the state. It will also depend on your state too
Miss Akosua ..when evaluating your education woth cgfns..did you use the midwifery licence or you you took another license in ghana as a nurse..after youe bachelors..thanks for the feedback
Hello Mary, yes I used just the midwifery license but I had a bachelor of science in nursing as well. They asked for my general nursing license too but I told them in Ghana we don’t need both so I don’t have it. They contacted University of Ghana directly with my response, not sure the communication that went on between the two institutions but the next day, I received my report which had me as BSN.
@@nurse.akosua cgfns told me the education is comparable buh the licence is not..
@@marydanquah4631 what did they put at the top? Did they say it’s comparable to BSc nursing?
@@nurse.akosua yes
I need to know how to go from us to Ghana
Hi Akosua
Please do I have to choose CES only(360 dollars )on my chart or I have to choose both CES and Visa screening(540 dollars )I’m registering for new mexico please help me out
Wow thanks alot Lady
Does it mean with Bsc midwifery you can not work in U.S
Welcome dear. In the U.S, midwifery is a masters program so if you want to be a midwife in the U.S, a BSc is not enough. If you get your masters, it is quite easier getting licensed as a midwife. You can still contact cgfns to know more
What about public health nursing (diploma in community Health Nursing)
Am a registered nurse and a midwife and did Bsc nursing in 2020 but I have most of my experience in midwifery, what can I do since most of the agencies want acute care experience not Labour and delivery and other midwifery related unit as a nurse.
Hello dear, I have the same background as you do. On your resume, you need to specify that you also have experience in med/surg because in Ghana, midwives do everything and they rotate you to other units. You don’t have to lie on your resume, you just have to let them know you have that experience as well. Also, midwifery will be another experience in L&D or Mather and baby here
Hello
Please what about someone with a masters as well as bachelors in midwifery
Is the masters in midwifery recognized in USA?
Hello, yes masters in midwifery is recognized in the U.S. The person has to go through credential evaluation and they will be able to tell if it meets the U.S midwifery education requirements
@@nurse.akosua Alright. Thank you so much
@@_unwinding you’re welcome
Ohemaa how can my niece with a Bsc from Ghana get in if she is in Ghana?
The easiest way will be to work through an agency. First she’ll have to meet their requirements. You can click on the link below to contact one of the agencies to get more information

@@nurse.akosua. Thanks me nua baa
Hello Nurse Akosua, please i had my degree in nursing when doing my service in Ghana. So i used my provisional results to get admission before my license came. When filling the cgfns forms they asked me why mine degree entry is before my license issue date?. Please what should i say please?.
Hello dear, Tell them the truth. They’ll contact the institution to confirm. They do that here as well where nurses work with provisional license, so it’s nothing new to them
Thank you very much am grateful.
@@berniceoppong8098 you’re welcome dear
Pls do they accept BSc in community mental health
Hello dear, the US normally see specialties as a masters program. However you can contact any of the agencies in the link below to find out if you meet their requirements; international-rnus.com/agencies-for-nurses-abroad-foreign-nurses/
Subscribing ryt away
Thanks dear for the support
Can I please get the link and read more?
Hello pls am a registered community health nurse, can I also apply?
Hello dear, sorry, currently I am only aware of agencies that recruit just registered nurses. There are other agencies that recruit other health professionals, I’ll look into that and make a video about it
Hello, please any update on this. I'm a Public Health Nurse(Degree)
Hii miss is Bsc in midwifery in ghana be recognice as Bsin nursing in the u.s
Hello Mary, with that, I’ll not be able to verify but I’ve had people testify that they transferred their diploma in midwifery through eres and it was accepted as associates degree. You can try eres because cgfns is quite complicated. But first find out if your state accepts eres
