İ know that hamster balls are dangerous and hamsters are small but they need a big cage and 2can only be with each other if it's for breeding or if they are baby's and you can touch them when they are 2 weeks old

When my boys were little I got them a female domesticated rat. She was very playful with us. One time she got out of her cage and I thought we'd never find her. I quietly yelled her name, Daisy May, and she came out of the closet right to me! Very smart. ❤
Cute little guy, the best advice I can give you is don’t let the little guy out because the cat will kill him…I had 3 traumatized young kids. Once wasn’t enough for my kids they let the replacement out to play too and bingo the cat got him too. Needless to say the next pet was a basset hound😂😂enjoy your new friend ❤
Put litter in the top room. Give him torn up paper to make a nest with. And get the little potty room extension... Ham Ham will use it and makes it so much easier to keep the cage clean. They like fresh treats like apple and broccoli. Chew sticks are essential- their teeth grow consonantly. Offer nuts in the shell. Chicken scratch too.
...and yeah, hamsters don't like to be handled, especially in the daytime. Dwarf hamsters are like the chihuahuas of the pet rodents. If he is a "looking at" pet, like a fish, he will live longer and be happier.
I had 3 hamsters Zip, Skip and Chip when I was 10 years old. They kept fighting brutally, so I gave them away. He's so cute and his name Ham Ham is awesome. Don't spoil him too much. 😊

He used to climb a tree with it, both crawling around up there. My son came in and forgot the rat outside. Cute they love raw carrots & cheese balls(Cheetos balls) and it's funny watching them stuff the cheese balls in there checks because they move stuff where they want it. Have fun with your first pet little dude!

Hate to tell you this but hamsters are nocturnal, up at night, sleep during the day. They will be noisy running around at night. I used to have them. Mine also bit the plastic at night and drove me nuts.

Please get the hamster a bigger cage and do research before getting a pet. Most petstore cages are not suitable for hamsters and are way too small. In a tiny cage like this they will show signs of stress such as bar chewing and bar climbing.
That cage is wayyyy too small and it needs at least 6 inches of beding balls are bad for them and if its a cage by the the pet shop dont buy it it also needs a big wheel those people at the pet shop know nothing do research
Also the cage that you have brought is unsuitable for any hamster. They need a enclosure without levels and minimum length is 100cm by 50cm 50cm anything bigger is perfect.

Wheel is unsuitable it's to small, dwarfs need a 21cm and Syrian needs a 28cm if not it will eventually damage it's spin when growing and running
hamsters suck. get a couple pet rats.
They need a sand bath and can't be housed together as they will fight and kill each other
Please do some research. This is a horrible cage and horrible living conditions for a hamster.
