Housekeeper, I am the housekeeper I clean my own home from top to bottom and my home spotless.
I used to have a housekeeper and I loved it. My husband doesn’t feel comfortable with it because of past life experiences. He just doesn’t trust people. He recently retired from the military and he’s really sweet but has issues with strangers in his personal space. I used to hate cleaning now I love it. Now I’ve even started making cleaning videos. That was really sweet and thoughtful of you to take care of your cleaning team. I really enjoyed watching this video I hope you to continue to stay blessed.
I raised my children appreciating every single job in society. It takes all walks of life for a society to function. What a blessing to have housekeepers! Appreciate you guys saying how important they are to you guys!

I don’t have a housekeeper. I don’t like people touching or cleaning my house. But I love to clean. I have my youtubers that I watch clean. My initial is OCD so my parents must know I would have an issue. Lol

I can afford help but I can’t imagine not cleaning my own house. Especially if I’m not working. I always say if your house is too big or you’re too busy to clean the house you’ve been blessed with them maybe it’s too big for you. My opinion
We stopped our housekeepers, babysitters, and anyone else who doesn't live here, until COVID-19 clears up a bit. This has been a great opportunity to get my kids even more involved in cleaning, which has been good for their development and sense of responsibility.
We still have our exterminators come, as they mostly cover just the outside unless I see an issue indoors. An extermination professional once told me that if they've done a great job outdoors, we should not see any pests indoors. So far, I've found that to be true over the past few years. Furthermore, with 2 small kids, I truly do not want my family exposed to the pesticides, etc.; even though it's supposedly safe for indoor use and shouldn't harm the kids as long as it's dry, I don't trust the exposure levels. Not sure about Chase (who is much older), but my kids still roll all over the floor. I'm not taking any chances! :-)

My daughter had a housekeeper once a week and she decided like you to discontinue her service for a while. It only makes sense not to have anyone in your home (other than your immediate family) during this crazy time.
I don’t have housekeepers but I definitely have wanted them and will be getting some after the lockdown. But I’m at home now I have a cleaning schedule and it’s been working pretty well. I’ve tried several from Pinterest this by far is the best.
Monday: bedrooms(this includes changing and washing bedding)
Tuesday: bathrooms (refreshing towels)
Wednesday: kitchen( cleaning dish towel etc)
Thursday: livingroom
Friday: fundamentals (disinfecting touchpoints cleaning windows and mirrors) clean floors
Saturday: yard work
Sunday: rest
Of course a load of laundry a day
Today was my housekeeper’s first day back! I am still going into work, so I’m not here when she is in my home. I LOVED coming into a dusted, vacuumed, clean home! Fabulosa met me at the door! Missed her!!
Tan, I have also stopped my house cleaning for this month. She was most grateful that I had her come in March. But since the stay at home orders, I am just paying her to keep my place in her schedule this month. This is her primary income. She comes once a month, which fits nicely into my budget. Can't wait to see her in May.🤩
Extermination service is outside, so no pause in that service or my lawncare.

Thanks for the great tips! I was using Bounce now I use Costco brand Kirkland fabric sheets. I use a sock or an old pillow case to clean my fan blades. That was sweet of the housekeeper to leave such a thoughtful gift! Enjoy 😊

At this time no one is allowed in my house if you don’t live here. I have to look for the fabulosa complete. Neat idea to use a sock to clean the blind. I prefer snuggle sheets as well.

Hi Tan! We’ve put a halt on our housekeepers coming to the house, since we’re working from home. It really hurt me to do that, because I know that’s how they make their living. We do not allow other people to come in our home and we have also not had the exterminator here either. Services will resume once we get through this pandemic.
Hi Tan...another beautiful morning there! Still snowing here 😫😫. My husband and I do not have a housekeeper. It’s just either me here or the two of us most of the time so I/we do the cleaning on our home. I actually prefer it because I like to clean, as weird as that sounds..lol. However we have had hired help with cleaning our windows outside and other maintenance. I do believe you have done the right thing for everyone in the matter to not have them around during this Pandemic 😬. I too dislike dusting but I do it lol I am also a fan of snuggle fabric softener it’s my favourite..liquid and dryer sheets. I’ve not trie using them on the baseboards though...that’ll be on my must try list while at home. I’m glad you figured out how to get the dominant nails painted, it’s sure frustrating, but before this is all over you’ll be so much better than when you started 😀💅 love your nail colour by the way, so pretty for spring. Love your dryer sheet tip and, yes, I ❤️ the Green Clover & Aloe fragrance oil! I’m going to attempt to make a DIY linen/room spray using it and some distilled water. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for sharing.

If you turn the sock inside out it works better and I found used dryer sheets help with blinds and bathroom cleaning they are very durable for soap scum and just scrubbing

I stopped the housekeepers from coming a week after my city officially put us on quarantine. I am trying to maintain things although I almost called them last weekend this is a real adjustment because they cleaned my mother’s house too 🥴. Oh yeah we stopped the exterminator too

I have 2 housekeepers that come every two weeks too, we did the same as you, we are stopping till the virus is gone. I gave them some money also because I felt so bad, though I believe mine are collecting , I was also afraid because of the many homes they go to clean.
What did I do about my house keeper, that be me. Ain’t nobody got extra money sitting around to waste on no housekeeper.

You did the right thing. You don't know who those ppl are around and then they could be bringing in other ppl germs. We had a garbage disposal problem and I wanted to call the plumber but my husband wanted to do it himself. I thought about Claire on the Bill Cosby Show! But he got the job done. I was worried tho. He did a great job. I love Gain. Save your thumb nails for last when you paint them yourself. Notice how the nail tech pushes the nail brush up to the back of your nail bed with polish. Great video.

Hey Tan, no housekeeper’s here, although that price seems reasonable. When outside opens, i may have to consider getting some! Btw, i like gain and will choose snuggle from time to time.

We have paid them anyway one week. The next scheduled visit, I had a doctor's appointment and had them come while we were away. We will terminate future visits and pay them anyway. We haven't been impacted financially so we can.

We just don’t know who has it and who doesn’t . My husband and I had a cleaning service many years ago we did doctors office so I know about that hustle and grind. If we didn’t work you didn’t get paid . It was our side hustle we did buildings next to each other after him teaching all day and me being in grad school and working all day . I also stopped my pest control they called last week . I said no thank you the termites and bugs can wait . I got spray I can do that myself. I am truly stopped all traffic in and out . His frat brother tried to stop by 3 weeks ago I said no SIR you can’t come to my house ! You will be able to have your help back again just not too soon . You are very fortunate to have had a housekeeper.... not everyone has that privilege.... I have large home (5 bedrooms 4,000 sq feet) and we are empty nesters....I'm cleaning everyday! There is Always something to clean/dust it's really a job to keep this place clean even tho we only use a few rooms! It's definitely a challenge for me and always something to clean... my husband is just very old school and he just doesn't want anyone inside the home...but I'm don't have have a problem with have cleaning people but I lost that battle so I'm the cleaning lady 😥

Our housekeepers still come. When they’re cleaning upstairs, we make sure we’re downstairs and vice versa.

We don’t have housekeepers but it’s smart to not allow anyone in your home. My husband is the only one who leaves the house to go to work and I basically disinfect all surfaces every night! And it’s exhausting but it gives me peace of mind.

I didn't stop anything, just exterminate outside. I didn't have a consistent house keeper, only vfc when overwhelmed. What if you have them use supplies and equipment you provide, so there is no cross contamination.
WE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT- BUT FELT THIS WAS THE SAFEST ROUTE.

Like you, we have stopped all services to our home. No one is allowed to come in our home and we don't leave, except for necessary doc apts. Can't risk my family's health or my health. I have battled pneumonia for the past 3 weeks. Finally got tested for Covid 19 yesterday, waiting on results. You do feel bad because it is their means of support but the health risk isnt worth it.
