So its my understanding this laptop does NOT have an SD or Micro Sd card reader? I was about to buy this but that is a total deal breaker, what a shame.

Your overviews have helped a great deal! My new toy should be arriving in 2 days! Thanks!!! --- also here in the 🇺🇲 the Ion currently comes with the Intel I7.
@Shenny Seville It's been great! I love this Laptop, Its Premium yet basic It doesn't have any Gimmick nonsense, just a good quality PC. It's very thin and light so perfect for a student, long battery life and easy to carry around. I love that it can be charged with a regular USB type C charger, I even have a portable battery that can charge it on the go, however the battery is great -- will last all day with normal use, of course if you are streaming HD video in full brightness might not last as long but still decent. Also I love that it has enough necessary ports, 2 Regular USB A Port plus and a USB type C as well as a Micro SD slot, HDMI output and a headphone jack! The trackpad is also a wireless charger and I can log in with my fingerprint. This PC is lighting fast and completely boots up in seconds! I have had zero problems using this mostly for basic web surfing and some business use / mostly stock trading and spreadsheet work. I love everything about it except 1 thing, the speakers are not too great, they are acceptable but not too good. Don't rely on the speakers for any type of presentation; they are not too loud at all, BUT that can be worked around using a simple speaker either using the headphone jack or even better, a bluetooth speaker. Also this PC screen mirrors right to my Samsung TV! again I have zero complaints except for the not too great speakers, all in all I love it, and would buy again -- Just one thing to remember, This is NOT a touch screen, if you are looking for a touch screen you need to get the flex or the Alpha both of those are decent but you lose some of the ports -- I could care less for the touchscreen, that's what my tablet is for
Enough with the background music. Remember, we come to hear you not fight music. The music is extremely distracting taking away from an otherwise excellent presentation. Also, many folks have hearing difficulties, this background music makes it difficult concentrating and understanding what you are saying.
Just letting people know the if wifi only version is a piece of trash. 1) the laptop crawls when doing basic things. It's unusable. 2) keyboard backlight doesn't work consistently. Sometimes it won't come on at all no matter what you do. Nothing fixes it. Samsung support is useless and cannot help. I returned it. Beautiful hardware, fantastic speakers but because of the above issues, inexcusable! Not sure if this is an issue with the LTE version.

I don't think it does have any m.2 slot. Heck even the storage is UFS it seems.

It does! It's on the left side by one of the USB-C ports. It's slightly hidden from view as it creeps under the base. Sneaky.
