Your enjoyment and excitement do come thru. Just how cold was it really? Also, the towing fascinated me; I'd like to see more about how to do that well, with multiple boats, sometime...
Thank you! It wasn’t cold really, but i wouldn’t have wanted to capsize. The air temps were about 50 that day and the sun was out…. Wearing a drysuit also made the temps feel comfortable. I have put together a video on towing…. Ill have to find the link. The best way would be to tie a bowline around the mast…. And the other boat take that line and tie a bowline to the bowline, etc etc. this keeps the stresses mainly on the tow ropes.
Thanks Lee. Great video!! I sailed in the NY Harbor this last summer, anchored by Lady Liberty, and sailed up the East River through Hell Gate. Like you, this was on my "bucket list". I'm sure it's a lot of hard work making these videos so thanks so, so much for making and sharing them. Happy Holidays!!
Thanks for sharing:). Awesome you got to do your bucket list! Yes. I am Not a very efficient editor. This video took me 14 hours to edit, which including having to replace the original music i used due to a copyright strike. :/.
I used to sail on candlewood lake in Connecticut back in the 90s when I lived there. I just put together a trailer there are pictures of it on Reddit r/Sunfishsailing.
I have an SUV. And i do not put the boat on top by myself… did that once and was terrible- almost broke my back. Almost dropped the boat and almost scratched my car and boat.
I’m so sad I missed the Turkey Bowl this year! Glad you got to sail with my buddies, Lee! Come back again!
Sorry to have missed you.!! Thanks for the invite. Definitely would love to come back.:)

Glad you made it down to our club!! Hope you had a fun day out! 🎉
It was an amazing day! Loved sailing woth you all!
Great video - looked like there was good wind yet pretty flat water.
It was flat water as we are tucked up in that cove and the winds were from the northwest…. An easterly would be brutal….
Nice video Lee, and I like Will’s suggestion of a Regional event there … sometime in the future. - Bob (Fleet 749, Phoenix)
They arent ready for that right now, but maybe in the future:).

Nice!! Why aren't white sails allowed?
The Commodore wanted to show the colors of the Sunfish…
