So youre telling me i get to watch a documentary on my favorite civilisation of all time, but not only that, its created and narrator by one very fine specimen. Got yourself a new sub! :D
I love Egyption history so i really enjoyed that. I learnt a whole bunch of stuff that i didn't know about the old kingdom. These are the kind of documentaries you can watch over again and still learn something as there is so much information in them. Massive respect and peace to ya.
Incredible! I came across your documentary and was blown away with your knowledge, attention to detail and close up look in the sites you visited 😍 Renewed my hopes to visit Egypt one day. Also your outfits, I could not take my eyes of it, just outstanding
As an Egyptology enthusiast I have read so many books and watched every documentary out there but none are quite as amazing as yours, so fresh and beautiful and clear, with your unique personal touch
I enjoy you different style of Egyptology Presentation. And you’ve got wonderful hair and eye makeup, much like ancient Egyptians! It’s refreshing to not see the same old stodgy and self-important dogmatic Egyptologists that are seen in seemingly every other Egypt documentary.
I came across your presentation and am so grateful. Brilliant and appealing and so informative. Your grace and peaceful energy is what is mesmerizing and your God given beauty as a person. You are a beautiful man as well. My 4 yr old grandson is reincarnated from Eygpt...he knows things and words which are amazing and loves Nefertiti. His recent birthday theme was Egyptian! He puts dioramas of inside the pyramids he builds with stairs and rooms and a sarcophagus...he said that word at 3. Thank you so much nameste🙏
Just found your docs on here. I have always been fascinated by Egyptian history. Your are very knowledgeable and I have to say... so beautiful and captivating. Very well done, and looking forward to watching more. Stay YOU! ♥
Just stumbled across your channel and I'm loving your content! Just did a DNA test and found out I'm a descendant of Ramses III and would love to a deep dive into that whole story. Please keep up the great work. New subscriber!
This is hands down my favorite film to watch... 🌟 It takes me to sites I dream of seeing & allows me to see artifacts in museums that allow me to feel the connection to the Old Kingdom time period that fascinates me, and is so spiritual to me. The pharoahs of this period were so formative to all that came after. The way Curtis present the details of the O.K. is just perfect... Truly inspiring. 🙏🌟💖
Amazinnggg!!! You made it soo real. Feels like an actual tour! These pharaohs and their wives look soo amazing, i really feel like i need an ancient Egyptian makeup tutorial by an actual makeup artist of that time.
His eyes are breathtaking ( the statue with the hands over his head / the one you said most people don’t pay attention to ) - what struck me even more are the eyes are exactly like Morgan Freeman’s!
Wish I could of went with you look so fun. I've always Loved Egyptian people history. I truly think i was Egyptian sound odd lol but I do feels like home such odd feeling. You definitely blessed you got to go.
Loved this documentarie taken back in time I feel a strong connection to the pyramids the pharaohs queens Egypt.I’ve heard the Maori descendants came from Egypt on their journey to Aotearoa The land of the long white cloud New Zealand.Thankyou for opening my heart and mind love what you do so blessed I found you Curtis Ryan❤️🥰🙏🙏
I fell in love with Ancient Egypt in fifth grade when the teacher had it as a lesson of the time even played the song Ieda from the opera of the same name.
Such an excellent doc series. Maybe one day could u consider doing a grwm video of yourself in an authentic ancient Egyptian look with makeup, hair, outfit, and accessories😁
Hey Curtis, do you take people to Egypt... If you do I would love to come and be guided, I am from New Zealand and have seen very little of the world but I am adamant that I must stand in the kings chamber at least once in my life.... or even the Osirus Shaft if I were to be so lucky. I am planning on traveling 2O26.. please let me know if you guide tours or even if you need crew, I am a sound engineer and could be useful.... I am loving your content!
I'm surprised that you were unsure where the Kemites originated. There is evidence in the temple at Deir el-Bahri near Thebes that traces their origin to the land of Punt (East Africa).
Well at the time I was still studying, but now I am an Egyptologist, only a few months after we did this series. Although you never stop studying in Egyptology. :)
Now I have to go and find out if Sharon Hague is related to my family, because she looks like a much younger version of my mother. And I am also from New Zealand. I feel like I have met her before, and it is super weird to watch this.
The ivory statuette of Khnum Khufu by William Petrie in Abydos. without its head. Then Petrie offered a generous reward for whoever could find that head, and in 3 days one worker found it and earned his money!
When you look at the length of the egyptian Pharoah history, it puts a whole different perspective on the history of the USA. What will the archeologists 3,000 years from now find left remaining.
I wonder if Sneferu's Queen successed Khufu before he took the throne, perhaps that is why there is not much about him, maybe it was actually built for his mother? Perhaps she was one of the first Queens to rule Egypt ... I always wonder about the Queens that were erased
I like the video but the narrator seems to look similar to someone else really old, like 2000 yrs old. I dont know if it's just that way or is it intentionall? Just asking!

I actually stayed in that same hotel( best view pyramids hotel). The owner Grace is a very nice lady.
I know this is not a popular opinion, but I think Khafre's head, which was originally a lion's, is tantamount to vandalism by a narcissist. A beautiful, regal resting lion staring over the sands of time would be far more impressive and majestic than this weird, disproportionate "Sphinx".
great show... new research from sources, in a *modern land* in comparision to egypt... how to read hieroglyphics,,,cymroglyphics... @ britianshiddenhistory, on youtube : ancient egypt inspires and transforms , its influences are everywhere....
12:17 Is the headrest a symbol of the horizon? It would make sense more as a ritualistic object than what it must have been quite uncomfortable practical object. 🤷♀️
9:32 I visited it once and I was particularly attracted to this area, therefore I am really surprised to hear the idea that these were just for show, given that there is absolutely nothing superfluous in the Ancient Egyptian art. 🤔

Wow, thank you!
Gr8 narration. I spent my childhood in Egypt. Cairo, the pyramids, the sphinx, Alexandria. Best of times.

Anyone who makes a good video about ancient Egypt and uses Loreena Mckennitt’s music is OK in my book.
Is the sphinx nose in the british museum still?
Like watching these videos. Dayuum Hot host!!!!!♥️
hehe thankssss
I had never heard that the slave labor in Egypt was a myth.
♥️🇪🇬♥️
I wonder how they carved out dolomite in ancient times?
