Thank you for this. It gives me greater perspective on how The Village communities are maintained even decades later. The original neighborhoods being kept to a standard regardless of home structure is amazing. Beautiful neighborhood. Kudos to the residences that maintain the standard.
I’m late entering the conversation, but I say stay “Newcomers” because even thought y’all aren’t newcomers anymore, you are helping others who are. I really enjoy your videos!
Don't change your name - your videos will always be helpful to people looking for information on The Villages. Your videos keep getting better and better! Good info and always fun - you are such a great couple!
Thank you ..this is probably the only place I could afford to live...I'm a 66yr old widow living on widows benefits & working part time to make ends meet...I'm freezing here in Iowa...Thanks again..Stay safe...
I can retire in less than 8 years and have been wanting to retire in the Villages for over 15 years! Getting closer to my dream. Thank you so much for taking the time and the passion to do these videos. I have learned so much. We use to vacation there every summer when my girls were little to visit their Aunt and Uncle. We always had a great time.
This is the pool I used to go to when I visited my parents. They lived there on st. Andrew blvd 3 blocks away when there were only 4000 people. So was fun to see this video. Thanks
Thank you . I am 1 year 2 months away from 55 . My mom lives in the villages. orange blossom gardens is the only place I could possibly afford. You two gave me the perfect video and info that I need. The timing of finding this video is special. I have watched alot of your videos. Thanks again.
One of your best drive around vids yet. As much as I love the way the villages look, majority of it pristine, neat and tidy. I loved the way Orange Blossom looked, so much more character. I would be more than happy to live in a modular or manufactured home, would not have a problem. Stick with Newcomers. Great job guys.
Thanks for the ride! I love Linda's voice like she is a real estate tycoon. "walk in showers....handrails". It's very adorable and endearing! I'm seriously looking at this place! Hubs says no....my mom lived to be 88 and I have a lot of living to do!
Hi Jerry and Linda your biggest fan here darryl Miller from new Jersey just watched your orange blossom video you guys show me why I go to work everyday can,t wait to retire 60 years old and counting you guys are a blessing to me thank you.
Being a "Newcomer" is a state of mind. Always remain newcomers then your view, evaluation and enjoyment of The Villages will always be new and appreciated by folks like me. Kind of like saying to stay in touch with your inner child! Please keep being a Newcomer and thanks for your videos.
I have enjoyed your videos for months now. Thank you for being such a friendly face during the pandemic. It is nice to see interesting places, friendly faces and it helps during this time during this isolation time. You make a difference!
Thanks you two for this tour. I’m one who asked for a less affluent more affordable area after beautiful drive through the Millionaire row😊 TV does have a $ for everyone👍Lots are actually bigger too. No Bonds or District Fees big $avings. Perfect Snowbird nest. My Vote, Keep the Name. You’re no longer “Newcomers” but others are and will be through your name on searches. Great job filming Linda.
LOVED THIS!!!!!! We looked in this area when we visited - this has us rethinking it- while we love the more southern area we could keep a bit more of our $$$$ hmmm 🤔. Thanks for showing. We are hoping to come soon!!!!
Love this video really enjoyed it. I look at these older neighborhoods all the time they do have a lot of character and personality and looks like they have a larger lot than some of the newer places. Thanks Jerry and Linda! D!
Most are trailers. But clean. Thank you for your time. I drove around in there in January because I was interested what the older villages looked like.
My aunt and uncle moved to Orange Blossom Gardens in 1986. They lived on Parker Place. We visited them often Your video brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks for that!!
I appreciate this video so much. Been watching for a few years now and even did a lifestyle visut. I don’t ever remember being shown this neighborhood! I love this neighborhood. Would want to buy a home in this neighborhood
Excellent video you guys, we were down for a few weeks over winter, looking at many different retirement communities, we did not go to the villages because we thought it was out of our price range, 200k is our limit, so now I think we will have to take a look here. Thanks so much for what you do
You are most welcome. After seeing your comment I went to The Villages app and put in a maximum price of $200,000 and found that there are currently 79 homes for sale under that amount. So yes, it can definitely be done! In fact the app shows 55 brand new homes Under $200,000.
“Newcomers” is your branding, almost as important as “see ya when you get here”. You’re providing information about the community for potential future residents. Wouldn’t change it!!!
Thank you so much for taking me along with you on a Sunday Drive. While you may no longer feel like a newcomer, everyone who watches your show would like to be, so you just keep that name so we know who to watch!
I started watching your UA-cam Chanel two months into your Florida relocation and became a subscriber. Please keep your name and opening video, I really like it. Thank you for showing us the original area that started it all. Be safe and healthy.
This was so much fun!! LOVE your vlogs and you should NOT change your name!!! This is YOU and YOUR journey.... even if years pass, this is STILL YOUR JOURNEY from NEWCOMERS!! It is perfect and what brought me to your site!! Couldn't believe when you made reference to the sky, because that is exactly what I have always loved about Florida!!! The most beautiful SKY!
Thanks for the tour. My wife and I own a new 2017 house on tarrson blvd in silver lake and plan to retire there in a couple years. Due to the pandemic we had to cancel our may trip so this was great to see. Was like going for a golf cart ride that we really enjoy when we are there.
I love the mature trees and the shade. Not sold on the manufactured homes. If I were to buy now, not sure it will survive another 30 years. I'm not ruling this area out though, but considering a typical house in this village. I love love love the larger lots and shade. Lots to consider. Thank you for all your tours!!!
I remember being on holiday in the early 90s and seeing TV adverts for The Villages, I remember the song today! Prefabricated homes are known as Park Homes in the UK. And keep the name xx
Another beautiful ride. This neighborhood seems to be very quiet. It looks very nice. Thank you. I hope you keep your name. You will always be the Newcomers to me. Thank you..
I've enjoyed your tours of The Villages here! I am a Florida native, born in Orlando, raised in the suburbs of Tampa. Also raised my children in the suburbs of Tampa. I DO love my home state. My aunt is a nurse in The Villages but lives on land adjacent to the Ocala National Forest. I've visited The Villages and really enjoyed the park square with live music and little shops. At age 45, I'm semi-retired. I homeschooled my 3 children through high school and now I keep busy with pet sitting in Bradenton. I love being on the water! Not far from the top-rated beaches! Yes, a number of retirees live in this area. We had a hard time finding a RV Resort because most are 55+. I considered getting a fake ID.. I've always been an old soul. We are very near one of Florida's first planned retirement communities, Sun City Center. Florida really IS the good life!
Jerry, Linda, we are new to your channel and am really enjoying it and yes we subscribed. Keeping the same name for your channel will serve you folks well into the future, most channels keep the same name and have great success. Thanks for the fab tour of OBG in the Villages. Frank
Your vid inspired our golf car ride today from the northern most point on Schwartz in OBG to Rohan Rec Center. It is a 12 mile, 50 minute ride going 17-20 MPH on the MMP (12 MPH on the Morse bridge). A Peachwave Frozen Yogurt stop in Colony Plaza gave us the energy to get back home.
Another enjoyable tour! Excellent history lesson, commentary, and insight...always positive. I like the side view (thanks, Linda) and the voice over. You both pointed out things I wouldn't have noticed. Nice background music, too!
do yourself a favor and get a priority pool membership because come summer your gonna want it and there are so many beautiful pools to visit here its like a staycation👍🏻 trust me you’ll be glad you did.
We are considering the panhandle! Could you tell me of any with small actual towns that are friendly, on the water with the ability to walk or ride bikes freely and safely? Thanks!
these homes seem to have some more 'elbow room' lot size and front setback from some of the other villages you've previewed in other videos, and they are charming, very unique and design simple in a world of complication.
I think: Keep the Name Why? When “Newcomers” move here they need some guidance and will find your videos informative and entertaining. It’s a good show.
Yes, that is the reason I watched this video. I wasn't looking for places to live this popped up in my feed. When I saw the word newcomers I thought " information".
Thank you for this. It gives me greater perspective on how The Village communities are maintained even decades later. The original neighborhoods being kept to a standard regardless of home structure is amazing. Beautiful neighborhood. Kudos to the residences that maintain the standard.
Stay the Newcomers. It works just fine. We will be the Newcomers if & when we come. ❤

Love the maturity of the trees and the size of the lots.
I love all the mature trees in this neighborhood! It gives it a different look than yours. The lawns aren’t all perfect either. Kind of refreshing!
