I had the pleasure of chatting to John backstage at the Shepherds Bush Empire after a Europe gig. What an absolute Gentleman he was. His family had flown in from Sweden but he still had time to chat about strats, really thick strings and Gary Moore. I had no idea he had swallowed Chris Cornell's voice though. 🤣. Cool sounding stuff Mr N 👍
I have loved John Norum since I was 14, I'm gonna be 50 in January. I've loved Chris Cornell since I was 16. Both superb! Now when I heard this song for the first time it gave me the chills, I was convinced it was Chris Cornell. This is outstanding!!! Way to go John! Nailed it!
The sound is spectacular, your voice, the guitar, I love that you sing the song, you have that rock voice, congratulations John, Peer and everyone who participated, the video and the song are great!!!
Great song, super vocals and amazing video! Song packed with epic heavy riffs I didn't expect anymore (Europe should play this song live together with "War of Kings") Now I'm looking forward the new album... go Johnny goooo! :D
Wow! Always loved John's playing since the 1st Europe album(1983) to Dokken and his solo blues stuff. Damn dude...! 2/3 Chris Cornell and 1/3 David Coverdale. Thanks for putting this out brother. You may not be the most famous player, but you may be the best. Good music brother...good music.
This song just proves that Norum can churn anything into gold. Well done maestro, can't wait for the album. Apart from Gary Moore & George Lynch, John Norum became a huge inspiration for me to start playing guitar back in the 80's, & whatever endeavours he's gone down, personally I'm inspired by his unique & underrated style. Hail legend...keep chargin' the magic🤘😎🤘
Surprisingly good! When I saw the artist/title I expected a Europe-esque power ballad or pop rock/metal offering. There wouldn't be anything wrong with that, I actually still love that genre.... it's "my type of music" actually. But no, I was pleasantly surprised! Nice work John. Love the gritty grunge-metal feel and the Cornell-esque vocals. Glad to see you're still knocking out the music!
It is more similar to the last albums of John Norum In the first ones it was not so strong it reminds me of Slipped into Tomorrow, Worlds Away, Optimus But not like Total Control by the way that album is a masterpiece
Excelente excelente amo a EUROPE... Pero Norum me sorprende en solitario talentosisimo guau guau te seguiere mi vikingo... El mejor tecladista 👏👏👏🎸🎸🎸👏👏👏👏👏👏🎸🎸🥉
Voice, guitar, writing this man knows how to rock
John Norum come back it's like resurrection of Chris Cornell, perfect!
Lembra muito mesmo!
Lo mismo he pensado yo,Me encanta el tema 🤘🏻🙌🏻💫
Pensé lo mismo, grande Norum.🇨🇱
Well put.
Yeah this is an interesting change because he used to sing in a similar way to Phil Lynott and John Sykes.
Sort of got that Cornell vibe to his voice. Triple threat here.. can write, rip on guitar, and has a great rock voice.
Still got it :D
I think is more like John Bush's voice, which is also similar to Cornell's, but not the same... lol
A little bit Wyldesque, I think. Kotzen remind me Cornell more than Norum
@@Danieleilcane Norum have been showing Zakk Wylde's influence in his music for the last 20 years :P Since Europe's Start From the Dark came out
@@zomby65 I would say even before SFTD, if you check his solo stuff.
I close my eyes and I see a mix between Zakk Wylde and Chris Cornell. Amazing!
Anything John does is gold to my ears.
John Norum and Europe are so underrated. Just seen Europe in Birmingham, with Whitesnake and Foreigner.
As usual Europe delivered, fantastic
Black Label Society influences in there!!!!!! Love It - Good One
Anche a me è venuta in mente la stessa cosa
I thought exactly the same thing. Would be fun to hear John play stillborn or something
Got a very Deep Purple, David Coverdale era vibe for me.NICE!!
Jhon is a Lord of Rock, his works are always of the highest quality.

Not at all...
Surely not like "Total Control", but there's some of "Face the Truth"
It is more similar to the last albums of John Norum In the first ones it was not so strong it reminds me of Slipped into Tomorrow, Worlds Away, Optimus
But not like Total Control by the way that album is a masterpiece
