Very study, stylish, functional, secure, near un-hackable. If you're in LE, and prone to regular air travel, this is your go-to EDC travel safe.
These are very well-built cases. Note that if you use it to store a handgun, thicker (wider) models such as a SIG P226 or P229 you won’t be able to use the tray.
Very true, some handgun models quickly make you realize "Full Size" categorization is quite relative when storage and carrying demands come into play. In some EDC storage instances you'll have to discard the Lid Organizer, and any other extra foam, to accommodate extra mags, Lights, etc.

Just got the sand special edition. Love all the extra foam and inserts. I wish we got the handle for free though. Seems like a silly thing to charge extra for when we are already paying 150+. I made mine a combo and carry it in the sling made for the 2.0 the lock it to under the seat if I can't carry a firearm into somewhere. Carry my full-size and all other EDC needs in the lifepod 2.0 then use the bag for my extra mags for body carry edc and have a small armor plate slipped in the back. When is the bag video coming out? Love your review and thinking about buying would love bag video ASAP please. There are no good bag reviews for this bag out.
Another good video and I am down to making a decision to one of these two travel safes. Are both TSA approved? It is my understanding that either box will allow you program from a 4 code to a eight code, right? In addition, the larger LifePod 2.0 will allow more cartridges and perhaps a box of ammunition that the smaller does not allow. Per the video, it seemed that both are quite lightweight and if you carry in a backpack I wonder if larger is just too big. However, I do like the interior light in the LifePod 2.0 when you open it up. Thanks.
You did answer the codes question and did a wonderful job on the exterior dimensions and the weights compared for both models and my ONLY question is that you did not state TSA approved for the 2.0?
Honestly I love their products . I like the smaller unit better , I lock it in my tire well when I must leave my gun in the car because I entered a gun free zone which there are quite a few in NYC , lol , quite a few . The one thing I would love to see from this company is a steel handle that can be pulled out from the top of the box so it can be carried easily , instead of having to place it into a knapsack . I do not like holding it in my hands and walking with it as someone can try to snatch it and run off , a steel handle that can come out of the top like a carry on suitcase would be awesome . Then I would use it for all my items as my everyday briefcase

Can’t be stolen if you have the security cable attached to something. It’s not a fortress. With the right tools anyone can break into anything. Even the most secure safe. But for the average person coming across this, they most likely won’t have the tools needed to break into it.
@@ChrispyThingsI'd modify the first sentence in your comment: It is LESS LIKELY to be stolen if you have the security cable attached to something. When it comes to information security (INFOSEC) - which includes asset management physical security, most places can accomplish 94% of INFOSEC goals and upgrades using only 15-23% of an Information Systems budget. The same goes for asset retention cables, while it is always better to do a proper install, such as, putting the looped end through the grommet on a table or through some welded support brace (not just the leg) because a thief will simply take the secured item (Lockbox Pro, laptop, etc.) to the floor and lifts the table leg just enough to slide the cable out from being looped around the table leg, and there it is, your EDC kit is now the thief's or even worse, your firearm is in his/her hands. Circling back to the thesis for this comment, locks are there to keep honest men honest. This also means that if you don't have access to a grommet in the table or access to the table legs to use the welded metal supports, then it is time to do some acting. If people are around, ACT LIKE YOU ARE SECURING THE CABLE to something under the table that others are unable to see without significant effort. OK, so can someone still use a fork to get in and yap the buttons.. but not to change the code to open it, but instead to press the button to stop you from using the key 🔑 (let's just say you didn't add a code and had it locked with a key only)

If the battery dies, you plug in the usb to get power to the safe to get in. It’s a back up to the key it comes with. And the handle is an upgrade, how is it not?
Hmm, trying to determine if this is actually worthwhile to get if you don't carry a handgun and just want something lockable for in the car/travel. I'm not huge into security features so something like the orbitkey nest might be better suited but this has a nice high tech appeal and more storage space.
Do you know of anyone who tried to defeat it with a hammer?. I am very concern it will crack open like an egg. I love the look of the device and know it's to keep little kids away but in a car can it be defeated with hammer and screwdriver?
My view on a hammer attack is to go for the hinges. The plastic looks weak there, and I do wonder whether a good whack with a hammer would crack open the hinges and allow the lid to opened from that side. Another concern is the thin cable, which I suspect can easily be cut using tin snips and possibly even household scissors. I remember years ago when my then employer bought cable locks for laptops, and I was able to snip the cables on them using the office scissors. So go figure. A length of heavy chain would be more resistant to an attack like that.
You should get the colion noir one it looks even better same thing just different color and says pew pew life on it I love the thing just waiting for it to show up lol thanks for the review

@@ChrispyThings maybe I'm not clear. Let me say it another way. I get it comes with a key & USB cable. By always properly locking your equipment regulars around you will know that you aren't to be messed with. Using your fake security setup should help them to be on their best behavior but still keep an extra eye on it to ensure it doesn't grow legs and wall off. .
Looking at it, I guess my only complaint would be reverting back to a lower quality keyway compared to the barrel-type key on version 1.
OK, so can someone still use a fork to get in and yap the buttons.. but not to change the code to open it, but instead to press the button to stop you from using the key 🔑 (let's just say you didn't add a code and had it locked with a key only)
They fixed the lockpicking issue a long time ago on the original lifepod.
Not on mine, clearly.
How can we buy this product in India?
This is amazing but I need something to store my MacBook in, but it's just not large enough still 13.75"L X 9" W... is that too much to ask??????? any suggestions like this but large enough for a laptop?
random pointless curiosity, can the first lifepod fit inside the 2.0? it looks like it might.
Will this fit under a car seat?
It fits under mine
May have to get this for my wife and I P365 and P365XL. Looks like both would fit in there fine
Awe man, I'm quite jealous of you. I have the full size Sig Sauer P320 and held the newer P365 at the gunshop and i loved it. I don't think i will ever be able to conceal carry mine cause it's a bit big and I am a smaller guy. How does the P365 shoot?
@@bullridermusic2054 I love the way the P365 shoots. That's why I ended up with my P365 XL. The XL shoots better though.
Do their new alarm clock one the DS2i smart station.
can you pls share video link of comparison sling bags, i couldn't find
What is the micro usb for? If you put a rechargeable battery in it? & for 200 why is the carry handle a upgrade?
If the battery dies, you plug in the usb to get power to the safe to get in. It’s a back up to the key it comes with.
And the handle is an upgrade, how is it not?
Hmm, trying to determine if this is actually worthwhile to get if you don't carry a handgun and just want something lockable for in the car/travel. I'm not huge into security features so something like the orbitkey nest might be better suited but this has a nice high tech appeal and more storage space.
It’s all I use this for is a portable travel safe.
Why did you record the video so close. Can see the actual size
Good review. Do you mind sharing what brand of edc pry bar you carry? Thanks
I have many. But currently I’m carrying a LynchNW AAP 2.5
Do you know of anyone who tried to defeat it with a hammer?. I am very concern it will crack open like an egg. I love the look of the device and know it's to keep little kids away but in a car can it be defeated with hammer and screwdriver?
It’s not a fortress.
I’m sure there are plenty of videos on UA-cam that test those things.
How do you like the safe thus far? I'm in the market lol
BTW does it not come with the security cable and 9v battery? I think the first version or smaller version doesn't which I think is a disservice at least not for including the cable..
I mentioned in this video that it comes with a security cable.
And it doesn’t come with a battery.
Will fit a sig p365x?
What happens if the battery runs out and something goes wrong with the usb charging point. Can it stay locked and opened or closed with a key
I answered that in this video.
@@ChrispyThings @Chrispy Things didn't hear or see your answer. At 11:00 you showed a fail safety test with the battery out... and you using a working usb cable to charge the device for opening. But I was looking for what would happen if you didn't have a working usb and the battery was down. Would it remain locked and could you open it with a key or do you need the power on... especially if your turned off the key.
There’s a key that ships with the safe if the battery fails and something goes wrong with the cable
@@ChrispyThings maybe I'm not clear. Let me say it another way. I get it comes with a key & USB cable. But if for some reason you lost the USB cable & the USB port was broken due to thefts trying to break into it. Plus let's say you also had turned on the key safety lock 🔐 so the key 🔑 doesn't open the device, which I understood can be done. "How will you then be able to get into the device with a key if the battery had ran out?" Will it say open by default or allow you to open it by key although you turned the key access off 🤔 try it.. Turn The Key Access Off, & run out of battery, then try & open it with just a key. No recharging with usb cable.

@@onlyagreeingsometimes Don't breed. Please.
I just got mine in and i agree with your likes and dislikes..i was surprised it didnt have a battery included luckily i had a 9v around the house but for that price they could have thrown in a duracell lol also for the price it totally should have been biometric i bought a barska handgun safe years ago that was 3x the size of this for $80 that had the fingerprint scanner and its not like it was a cheapo its still kicking to this day.
What do ya use it for?
I use it for carrying my knives, a flashlight, emergency cash, and anything else I want locked up when I travel.
But they market it as a handgun safe when traveling.
You can use it for anything though.
thx great video
I like to know can I take it on a plane?
With no weapons inside, I can’t see why not.
They should put a handle on the next one.
Niiiiiice! I wonder if it’ll fit my full sized Glock 21 pistol.
Vault-Tec? Just in time for Operation Anchorage.
This guy gets it.
