Dude I came back after a long hiatus. Bought the game, and leveled my priest to 110, was overwhelmed as fuck, almost just quit but your video really calmed this class down for me.

Hi, I disaggree with your talent choice 6 row - i always take chastise for reliable quick stun to stop casts - you can use it immediately, isntead of needing to walk to mobs for your fear + you can help with your chastise to your teammates - changing it to stun will stop chastise deleting debuffs on enemy
Chastise doesn't remove dots on targets so any mob that you can stun you can disorient and interrupt their cast. I also noted in the video that they all have situational benefits depending on what your group brings.
I have a commentary on the stat priority. According to other guides, that's the raid stat priority. For Mythics, other guides say that haste > crit/vers > mastery is desirable. How would a mastery > crit build hold up on mythics?
Great vid, thanks for the information. I have mained a holy priest for the better half of 10 years, and have had some pretty good highs and struggles in that time. However, by far the hardest thing I have ever done in the game, is grievous. I can heal pretty well on mythic + keys and know fights and my class very well, but grievous just shuts me down. Do you (or anyone) have any advise on how to best deal with this? I have been told it's just a bad affix, but when I can heal through all other affix on mid-high level keys, and then grievous comes around, and I can't seem to get through some heavy damage, either I'm not doing something right, or it is just in fact a bad and unfair affix. TLDR: Mid skilled/but very experienced holy priest getting shut down by grievous. Any advise? Thank you

i wonder if jak reads the comments i was wondering about a trail of light raid build haste>mastery just spam heal non stop and like never go oom and get tonnes of holy words maybe even a second salvation.
You'll be able to get a 2nd salv on most fights in Dazar'alor, a flash heavy build won't be as efficient as weaving PoH/Flash depending on the damage patterns. The extra mana from Enlightenment is also too good to pass up in a raid
Hello, thanks for the video, few questions for you. - What % Mastery are you targeting for progression in BoD considering no drop in ilvl ? - Would you use CoH on CD (or 2-3 sec delay) even on very small AOE Damage if you know it will overheal by a lot or do you prefer to save it for Medium - High AOE Damage - You listed Treacherous Covenant as Tier 1 for Azerite but do you have number behind it? I couldn't find any solid number for the 3 new traits. Also would you stack it to 2 or 3 ? - Like you said in your guide we are still going for 1 WoM Trait as high priority right? Thx
No mastery % or breakpoint that you need to achieve. I wouldn't use CoH if it will overheal heavily, if theres minimal damage then hold onto it. Treacherous Covenant gives you around 4-500 raw intellect when staying above full HP, for reference thats about an archive and a half at max stacks. Its pretty insanely efficient, I plan to stack at least 2, getting the 3rd would make it difficult to take WoM and Promise of Deliverance so I'm still not positive of what the optimal play is there at the moment.
@@AutomaticJak Does the damage taken increase from Treacherous Covenant stack? If so, additive or multiplicative? A baked-in increase in damage taken on a class with so little defensive capability scares the hell out of me. I feel like if you stacked multiple TCs, Angel's Mercy becomes way more attractive. Also, no positive mastery breakpoint, sure - but is there a diminishing returns point like there was in early Legion? I remember 40% Mastery being a soft cap before overhealing started getting out of control.

Since there is no int on rings, I would think it would be better to take the lower level ring since it has much better secondaries? Same quest but for bracers too? Would you always take the large ilvl increase for these due to the increase in Int?
You've got it right. For bracers the correct pick is item level, unless they're very close. The intellect is just so much more valuable even on a relatively small scale. Use your rings to fix your stats. Since there is no int, collect a bunch of rings and use them to bump up stats you need more of. Also, sockets are insanely valuable on rings.

I love disc too still, just sadly no raid tiers, and have to make choices with gear. I personally use Cosmic Ripple in dungeons too. I do get why Guardian Angel is being used. I have a question about Underrot, I had a hard time a few days ago. I believe before boss 1, the "priest" casts a spell that buffs a mob, I need to dispell the mob, basically that was what the tank kept says. I also need to keep them alive, plus they also need to interrupt the mobs tbh....but what I do in this case? It was a group of 5-6 mobs, since I believe he pulled the group that patrols, and the group on the platform in one go.....it was disaster and ofc....healer blamed....how do I focus on that? Plus how do I find out which mob to dispell? (I could use mass dispell ofc).
The spell you are looking to dispel is the gift of ghuun, it allows the mob to stay alive after being killed. It is Interruptable by dps and also removed with arcane torrent or consume magic so if u have the right class they can remove it to.
First time ever wow player here. Started 2 daya ago as free player. Just subed for 1 month yesterday after reaching lvl20. I am doing undead holy prist. Never raided or done group before so i am looking forwars to that. Any suggestion from veteran players on need to know would be appreciated.

At the moment we're looking to run double priest, one disc, one holy. Will see if theres any fights where we both play the same spec

Can be okay to use when on the move and nothing else is available to cast but definitely not something to spam or use frequently.
