  • Starting at the Pontneddfechan upper car park this waterfalls trail in the Brecon Beacons reaches 4 beautiful falls, of which the 4th fall you can walk behind. I then head along a precarious track with 2x river crossings to reach a 5th elusive waterfall called Sgwd Einion Gam. This a a truly magical place , especially the remote final waterfall. The 5x falls in order are -
    Sgwd y bedol
    Sgwd ddwli isaf
    Sgwd ddwli uchaf
    Sgwd gwladys
    Sgwd einion gam

Its a fabulous place and even in the rain it has a magic about it. The surrounding woodlands add even more magic. Obviously with you not knowing the falls I am assuming its your 1st visit... how great to see these for the 1st time & it looked quiet. You can get down to Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf (Upper Gushing Falls) but you must have missed on your way down. I was smiling as you said about Gwladys being so beautiful and its the best you have seen so far.... as that hidden falls for me is the best falls in the beacons. Water was low looking at your 1st crossing... but the place is still worth thr trek. The "wow" said it all 😊 If you want have a look at my last trip tere.. when it was frozen - I have done 3 volgs from Gam. atb Al

@@thevalleywalker Hi Al thanks a lot for the comment , I’m glad we are in agreement on which our favourite fall is! I will check out your videos on Gam thanks for letting me know. It must have looked awesome in the ice and slippery on the way there especially that scramble track! You were right I totally missed the path down to the base of the 2nd waterfall - I saw it on the way back but by then was too tired and couldn’t be bothered to go there 😂 Have a great week ahead

    Hi Adam.
    It's beautiful there.
The 4 one is stunning too. Brilliant you can see it from behind and above.
I haven't done that last one yet.
    It's on my list.
    You shared it very well.
"Oh bird just crapped on me"
You did well and I really enjoyed it👍

      I definitely will go there😁
      Your filming is better.
I watch lots and trying to improve learning what work etc.
Tomorrow I just will have a walk and no filming. Sometimes I just like to walk.
I'll catch your new one tomorrow👍

@@JamieHarding5 I think my filming is very basic , the videos with drones are definitely the best to watch. But thanks for the compliment! Yeah I agree the videos sometimes interfere with the walking but it’s nice to rewatch the hikes and collect the memories. I actually should do more walks without filming it’s definitely more relaxing

I'll do the same just sun sun..
but later this year I'll do a video in terrible rain😁

'Like the Amazon.' Now that's high praise Adam. Wow, maan what a trail - truly a wild gorge. I could feel your joy - this was a different adventure. Gotta say Maggie was loving it too. Thanks for sharing. Mark

@@WyeExplorer Thanks Mark , it was a nice change to explore the waterfalls and have a day out away from the hills. Ha ha I’ve never been to the Amazon so it might have been a bit of an over exaggeration in the enthusiasm of the moment! 😂Yeah she loved it , crossed the rivers in seconds and smashed the scramble goat like track while I struggled! Always waiting for me , she reminds me always how badly the human body is designed for the great outdoors in comparison 😂. Best wishes

@@adamradford2285 A pleasure Adam. Yeah, it made a change for sure. Ah, I get your point with the Amazon but I bet it was super green. I could see Maggie crossing the waters and dashing about - she was excited. You're right they're built different.

@@WyeExplorer Hi Mark, unrelated to this , I have taken the family away to Rhayader for a few nights , sat here now in the holiday let looking out on fantastic panoramic views of the hills. We always bypass here on our way to Snowdonia but this time we booked a break here. It’s a walkers paradise and so quiet, walked along the Wye valley earlier by Rhayader falls by the bridge was beautiful. Looking to explore Elan valley and currently looking out on Gwastedyn Hill which I’m sure you know , looks impressive. I can see why this place is very special to you. Best wishes

@@adamradford2285 Alright there Adam, brilliant my friend - really pleased you stopped by there. Yes, there is some fantastic walking there. I hope you enjoy the Elan - if you can go up the Claerwen valley to the Dam-well the Elan is good too all the way to Cwmystwyth. Re-Gwastedyn I was due to do that last time but my ankle wasn't great. All the best out there.

@@WyeExplorer Thanks for the tips Mark, the Claerwen does look incredible but I think I’ll save that for when I drum up the energy to try Drygarn Fawr. Not there atm especially in this heat. But Elan definitely I can’t wait to get out. Sorry to hear about the ankle, but it looks like you’re making progress? Gwastedyn looks like a fantastic hill walk to look forward to in the future? Have a lovely week enjoy the sun. Atb mate
