Yep! Congrats on getting it together. It sure isn't easy. It's funny you posted this now as I just hit my ten year sober anniversary and was thinking about mentioning it in a video.
That's amazing. You should mention something you never know who it can help. Most of the people who were encouraging me to "get sober" got really uncomfortable once it started happening. They began offering me alcohol and really became some of my greatest adversaries. So, we all need a real friend in this. Thank you for sharing that.
I enjoyed the video and if I could just add my 2 cents. Some will agree with me and many will not but where I am in life today it is obvious to me that what is missing in people is God in their lives. I never saw it before when I was not a follower of Christ but it makes sense to me now. Why all the depression...why all the drug use...why all the suicide...like you said there is a void and that void is not having God in their lives. That is just my take on it and clearly it is what I believe but every person has their own journey in life to walk. I just throw it out and try to plant the seed. Are there gators in that water? Frightening... 😮

(I think I even said as much in the video) If someone is reading this and suspects that this true but can't quite get there, I would like to give this one piece of advice. There are many christians, they are not Christ. I needed to figure out what is Christ (KRISTOS) and focus on that. the type of focus it requires is very intense. We are all hurting. Hurt people Hurt people. Do your best and approach with an open heart and don't let others knock you off your path. Thessalonians 5:16 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Thanks for spoiling all the fun Faceless 🤣
@@HideAndRead sorry brother but well said .. ❤️ it! Look it's not to say that once you find Jesus that life becomes perfect or easy... That was actually one of the misconceptions I had when I first started getting into this 5 years ago. I thought that once you became a Christian Life was much easier. But that's just ignorance. Bible tells us that we will have trials and tribulations but we do have a comforter we have someone to turn to. We are given answers to a lot of things we didn't understand before. So yeah I love this. Sorry I spoiled it for you my man. 😂
