finally a interviewer who isn’t afraid to ask the questions many fans bring up! so many fans have been FIGHTING for a queer storyline in a show that means so much to us! i’ve been a big believer of a lesbian kie storyline ( jj & pope as well but it’s something about sarah and kie and specifically having kie canonically come out as queer that means so much to me & many other) and so many more LGBTQ+ storylines, so thank you so so much for asking these questions and getting her take on her character development! it’s so refreshing to know that even tho their characters doesn’t have a queer storyline(yet! i’m hoping so much for the future) the actors themselves fully support and clearly see the vision many fans are trying to convey🫂!
The idea of kiara being queer just makes so much sense. Her being in love with her male best friend doesnt change that. I agree that the storyline seemed to be hinting at her not being into men and then they mustve shifted to accommodate the fan ship (a pairing i do really love but still), i do feel sad that this story wasnt explored because it wouldve been more meaningful and had something to say if kiara realised she was queer and then still got with jj because you dont need to prove your queerness to be queer and like madison said, exploring your sexuality within a relationship does not inherently mean disloyalty or unfaithfulness. When i watch the show and try to pick up on the moment(s) each of these pairs fell in love, kiara seems to catch feelings for jj because of what he wants in life, how similar they are, how passionate they both are in their unique ways and their desire for freedom rather than his masculinity
No, I don’t hope they will change Kiara’s relationship, otherwise what will become of Jj? He’s loved her all along, and that’s what the fans wanted, the creators wrote the story of Jiara, don’t change it and mix it up with reality (don’t change Kiara’s relationship just because Madison has a different sexuality than Kiara).
She literally just said that Kiara still can explore her sexuality even being in a relationship with JJ. Madison just wants to bring some representation in the LGBTQ+ community.
@@madoka9253 yes but if she "explores" her sexuality as you say, by being with Jj, I find that it's not done. And yes I understand that the actress wants to do that, but since season 1, we see that Jj is in love with Kiara and we see the development of their relationship in season 3 and 4, I don't see why that would change, it's not because the actress is pansexual that the character (Kiara) must also be, precisely we have to make a distinction !
