I was a drama student with Cliff Potts in 1967 at Cal State Univ Northridge. We all knew he would go far. A shame he never got his big break but he did make a good "bad guy" in many TV dramas. Name of the Game was as "famous" as he ever got. I was always a fan.

Maybe they wouldn't have had Ro be in love with Odo, for example, which certainly would have changed things.

Cardies destroyed the Bajoran freighter, which was remote piloted from the surface of the planet. No Bajorans on board; it was a ruse to expose the Starfleet admiral (the guy with the flu) who framed the Bajorans for an attack on another colony.
@BillHK true but why watch it if you haven't seen it? I avoided all GoT clips until I saw the series (didn't start watching until S3 was out on dvd). Anyone not seen any clip on you tube should just avoid it if they don't want spoilers

Continuity errors were hardly rare with this show, it WAS spread over something like seven seasons and four movies and lasted a decade and a half after all, not counting the spin-offs; yet it was still almost entirely episodic in nature throughout (give or take a two-parter here and there haha), with often a completely different writer and sometimes completely different whole teams behind each individual episode; loose continuity at best is just something to expect from it as a result, think it maintained it surprisingly well in fact considering (certainly better than Doctor Who that's for damn sure, and also a hell of a lot better than something like Voyager would do later). Also, in-universe, I suppose the higher-ups in the Federation, in the interests of diplomacy, likely would not officially regard "mere" border clashes as BEING true military attacks as such, let alone a war; regardless of what those who actually fought there directly like Chief O'Brien might have to say about it

The Occupation wasn’t the civilized quadrant’s Fuck You to the Bajorans for worshipping the ground a leader intent on genocide of the Cardassians walked on, so no.
So the admiral is exposed and Picard finds out there is no way the Bajorans could have attacked the colony because their ships were too slow. The Bajorans made it to the new planet and To joins the crew but Picard does bend the rules a little and let's her sear that ear chain.

I think that Ro not being on DS9 worked out well. The Major was a better fit for the revitalizing people. Although it would have been interesting...
I think so as well. I would like to have seen Ro on DS9, but Major Kira's character turned out very well and intriguing.

according to the reboot novels, she comes on board as security chief ( under Kira’s command) then later becomes DS9’s commander.
