As an Israeli when I see the dancers I think of the Nova Peace festival celebrators. It's doing exactly what is supposed to be doing. The intended audience are Israelis.
As an American (Jew) I get it. I see exactly what they were doing with the song. The choreography is everything. It’s perfect for the emotions behind it. What’s interesting is that people who reviewed it that didn’t know what the song was about and didn’t understand the symbolism said they could feel there was something “deep” to it. Even people who think it’s a breakup song have sensed there is something deeper behind it, even if they don’t know what that is. That is a testament to exactly what the song was trying to portray. It is sending the message that was intended even for people who don’t quite understand. They hit the nail on the head.

i get what you say about the choreo however it is only a fraction of the full choreography and the Israeli delegation asked to show only these parts so that the full show will be an emotional surprise i can guarantee you that your statement will change after the first show in the 2 semi final (either way i love watching you sooo much! much love💙)
The choreography was perfect. Both emotionally and symbolically. That’s actually my favorite part of the choreography.

Great analysis. Eden's outfit was made by an Israeli designer who has designed for Beyonce and Ariana Grande. We knew she'd be on point with the fashion. I see what you're saying about the choreo being distracting from emotion and power vocals. It seems like some other staging elements could have been utilized as well for impact.
The dance is very important. This is the people ran away from the shooting and missiles in the nova festival.

This girl can stand on stage and still command attention. Why all the fluff around her. I did not care for it in the clip and even less on stage.
Look at her, listen to her ..if she would have stood on that stage alone with some kind if LED depiction of a Hurricane it would have been more of a comparison of how alone Israel is in the current state of affairs and it would truly resonate. Her beauty and voice really is enough of a staging. She does not need that much more.
I like your comment, but also the dance can represent the unity of jewish people in these dark times and our dancing together not only in Israel. Although, there are also comments that the dancers represent Nova Festival tragedy. Maybe the message of togetherness and strength was put there, rather than being alone 💙

I think the dancing has affected you the way they wanted it to. It is chaotic and the anger it causes addresses the anger that surrounds Israel, on either side of the issues. Bravo! No one is supposed to think this is just a power ballad.
On a personal note, I am from the US and have always watched Eurovision from a distance, enjoying the uniqueness of different music styles we do not get exposed to in the States. This year, I am a huge fan of Croatia, but I will be voting as part of the World vote for Israel! Specifically because of the ignorant reactions toward Hurricanem which is beautiful and emotional.

I think this will win. It maybe does not seem like that with the esc community boycott but this song is massive and the boycott will only drive people towards it. I'm kind of eyerolling on the constant dark horse this and dark horse that under all of the songs but if there is a dark horse it's definitely Israel.

The Choreography is not clear to you because you don’t understand the context of that type of dancing. The dance is there to represent the dancers of the Nova festival. In that kind of party you have Trans music playing so maybe now it will make more sense to you
Yeah the part he didn’t like is my favorite part of the choreography/dance actually. The extra intensity of it is perfect and powerful. I’m American and I felt the upside down tree could portray how the world is upside down (I think Israelis will know what I mean). But does anyone know the real symbolism behind it? This was just a personal thought.
@@HavlingReese-ep3ch it is open to interpretation. It could be like nature is against us. I can say that when I first saw the tree I thought about the symbol of one of our military units. The name of the unit is Golani and it has the symbol of an olive tree. At that time that unit was on the borderline in the south so they lost a lot of people during that day. But again, people can understand it differently.

Israel should have been excluded this year with neutral words of explanation, because there really are circumstances that Israel has committed terrible crimes and we all see it and turn a blind eye to it, and at least show respect for all the victims of the war that is happening in that area, on both sides. If the EBU wanted to show neutrality, it should have done it this year. This is how they took the position that some civilians are really more important than others. That's not right and you all see it and keep quiet. The show is no longer what it used to be
