    Glad to see you loved Dallas. I’m a Californian native and have since lived in so many places NYC, Hampton’s, LA, Mexico , Seattle Vegas the list goes on but Dallas is top of the list of places I lived and I moved away after getting married and miss it every single day 😅 hope to buy a house there but it definitely has a special place in my heart ❤️

    You should visit Houston, Tx. It’s more diverse than Dallas and we have the best food in Texas. People are super nice and there is so much to do here.

    I’m glad you enjoyed your time in Dallas. There are so many preconceived notions so I’m glad you were able to experience it yourself. It seems a bit rude to assume all Americans are overweight being a curvy girl yourself. Of course there are all body types everywhere! Most areas all over the country have affluent AND poorer areas so that really should not be shocking. Again I’m glad you visited and had your own experiences.

    • @Simplelivingslowliving

      Europeans tend to rate Americans very poorly because of some stereotypes. Brazil has one of the most beautiful women on the planet but is also one of the countries with the most overweight population but no one talks about that .

    • @NewYorkPrincess22
      @NewYorkPrincess22 8 місяців тому +4

      Curvy doesn’t equal overweight. Also that’s the misconceptions of most European countries. What we might consider normal here is “over weight” to them. Just look at how they size their clothing.

    • @ThesselyJuliet
      @ThesselyJuliet  8 місяців тому +4

      I did enjoy it and I'm glad that my preconceived notions were debunked. I'm not afraid to admit that. I didn't say ALL Americans are overweight, that's unfair.

    Thessely, if left a comment here after viewing your LTK CON Vlog and I don't know what happened to it. Maybe YT spammed it but the main thing I wanted you to know is, I think your Vlog was the best in terms of traveling and sharing your experience....and you Know the Food was a plus to see. Beautiful Job.🧡🍂

      Because Americans tend to be more overweight than other countries that have more natural foods (like the Netherlands) (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10213181/).
      Other countries tend to think we are all overweight.

    • @celesteroberts7743
      @celesteroberts7743 8 місяців тому +11

      Because that's the way Americans are portrayed in the media especially internationally. It's the same way many Americans assume Caribbean or African countries are poor with just jungles and beaches and they are surprised to see areas with luxury cars and houses. We all have incorrect preconceived notions because of the media. This is why travelling is so amazing!

    Dallas can be very pretentious. Out of the 4 big cities in the "Texas Triangle" (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio), Dallas is known for being the most "snooty." Granted, that depends where you are and go. If you liked those areas, you'll LOVE Plano & Frisco about 30 minutes North of Dallas. You should check it out next time!! "Dallas" is also just one of the anchors of DFW in general. This whole metroplex has so much to offer for whatever mood or vibe you want and it's one of the fastest growing areas in the US. It's HUGE. Glad you gave it a chance!
    I love Europe and live in Grand Prairie (suburb of Dallas) and wish we had better public transportation 😢 I loved being able to walk and hop on a train to get anywhere in Europe. Do you like having to take a car places or prefer taking public transportation ?

    • @ThesselyJuliet
      @ThesselyJuliet  7 місяців тому

      This is some great insight! I definitely got the feeling that the area is huge and so much construction going on everywhere which is a sign of growth. I would love to return for a longer period and drive around. Each day to a different part. Because I live in europe it feels nice to take a car to places in the us, it makes the experience more foreign for me in a way. But practically on a day to day basis it’s nice to live in a country where there’s so many public transportation options.

    I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in Dallas. The one thing I think of when I think of Texas or any Southern States "old money" rich vibes, if you know what I mean and lots of Hispanic people. We're there a lot Black people in that area?
    Congratulations once again on being invited by LTK to Dallas. Such an amazing opportunity, and the start of many more brand trips coming in the near future 🙏🏾. Take care and thank you for sharing Thessely💜.
