The Irish inshore fishermen have the same problem the UK fishermen have, most of the larger boats are owned by a few people, those people have access to politicians and lawyers....simples.
What is it with the Irish? you migrate to most countries on the planet and complain about migrants coming to Ireland. You laugh at the British voting for Brexit, enjoy the benefits of being in the EU yet when it comes to sharing your fishing grounds with fellow EU citizens you are complaining again!
No harm Mark, that's a very simplistic thesis you're presenting. You're correct the the Irish have emigrated to every corner of the world, for all kinds of reasons, economic being primarily the casus beili. On your 2nd point, emigration into Ireland is something I welcome, if their is one nation who really can't complain about migration it's Ireland, however the anger found here has its source in government mis-management which is causing the backlash, I have no doubt there are plenty who are using it as a vehicle to express what's really in their heart, but the vast majority are simply people who are afraid. On laughing at the British for leaving the E.U, again, I can only speak for myself but I wasn't laughing, but saw it as the first move on the breakup of the E.U. What's fast becoming obvious is this construct is simply empire in birth, and tbh, I'd rather not see my country get out from under one empire just to get into bed with another, and in a small way that what you hear in this video. Decisions taken over the heads of the people it affects, disregard for small communities to provide for 'the greater good' (which is late stage capitalism monopolising resources). I hope my answer is to much of a rambling and I've answered your points, ordinary people all over this contenent have more in common than what's ever presented dividing them.
