Good job. Just bought my first oxy/acetylene rig, and this was a great help. Thank you.
-Hey lets make a welding video series
-good idea, what kind of soundtrack should we use
-funny you should ask! Listen, have you ever played Sonic the Hedghogg after smoking crack through a bazooka?
- Yeah!
-Ok well were gonna make a mix of that.
I laughed, thanks
Audio dropped out a few times...
the music is so distracting
you should remove the music . its very annoying but other than that great video thanks fr the tips
Maybe we can talk to someone about editing the video and turning it down - it does seem louder than it needs to be. Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed.
MUSIC IS NOT INFORMATION AND DOES NOT BELONG IN TRAINING VIDEOS, except perhaps in the typical timewasting intro traditional on UA-cam and easily fast-forwarded by those who don't need it. Music adds no content. It interferes with listening to narration. You have zero reason, none what so ever, to want music in training videos. it's a silly UA-cam convention but it won't get you any more views. Stop it. Leave that unprofessional bullshit to the teenagers making gaming vidyas.
No kidding. Very annoying and unnecessary. Also, I kept losing the sound. Don’t know if it’s the video or my phone.
Remove music then very professional my opinion.
Great video, but what's with the background music? A bit intense for the ambiance I think is required.
Amanda, you are an excellent and natural presenter. I have subscribed and liked and look forward to seeing more of your work.
Cheers
David
I like this video a lot. Why? Well, because he thinks before he speaks. He uses trade terminology/ technical answers that reinforce the concepts in application. Thank you for the upload.
The only problem I really have with this is that he failed to "crack" the cylinders prior to 'use' setup. And the reason why we want to "crack" the cylinders is to ensure there is no dust, debris or grease obstructing flow.
good work by great persons thanks
get rid of the zmusic
What causes a backfire with a heating tip? I borrowed a small rosebud tip from a friend, adjusted it for a neutral flame and after several seconds the flame went out and the part where the nut goes on got very hot, the flame followed the gas flow back towards the mixer handle. I shut the gas off in time before it got worse. I didn't see any damaged O rings.
I know some mixing handles have check valves to prevent major backfire problems, but what was going on here, not enough pressure, too much?
Jim
Where did you get the nice welding coat that you wear in this welding video? It looks very comfortable. Thank you.
Is the process of gas welding to brass and stainless is possible. I have a question.upto what size is the tip of a welding gas
Not my kind of music, but interesting comments, thanks.
FROM TIME TO TIME SOUND CUTS OUT. Ditch the music
pretty informative.
hello sir...... what rod to use for steel?
Nice torch what is it please and can I get one sent to the UK ?
Safety glasses? They should be on before entering the shop/lab.
OMG that music is annoying. Good video nonetheless.
I have a question about a popping noise I have a brand-new Victor medium size torch I have a Radnor cutting tip brand-new as I start to get to a neutral flame it starts to pop and continues to pop I have cleaned out the new want to tip just to make sure it's OK job but I can't seem to stop the popping noise do you have any suggestions
Have you tried removing the tip and re-seating it?
Fabricators & Manufacturers Association yes it worked. Thank you!!
Try turning up your acetylene
Or try tightening your tip
Make sure tip is well seated and that o rings are not damaged in any way. Is sounds like you've drawing in air.
Hi, what camera/lens are you using so we can see puddle so clear?
Mark Greenfield it's in the camera settings, light conditions.
Why are you not wearing those gloves or are you protecting that area of the table?
What’s wrong with the audio? It keeps cutting in and out. I’m missing half of the details he says.
fix your audio, missing important info.
great video-- terrible background noise
Tig is cool it just like oxyacetylene weld but with electricity and or gas
Great
The sound kept cutting out. Great video besides that. Thanks!
wasup with the audio cutting off ??
We were taught to adjust O and A from the regulators with torch valves open full.
From the torch, I tend to think it's user-oriented. Meaning... you can if you want... But be advised, if there is a problem -- say, with your acetylene such as your torch catching fire -- you'll want to keep in mind that 'one-gloved' hand turn is all you'll really have time for if the shit REALLY hits the fan.
Some of us aren't as "well-off" as a community college. Some people may not -- for some reason -- prioritize flashback arrestors or have the necessary tip, so when knowing "this" could happen -- or "that", when equipment is for some reason limited -- it'd become priority to ensure a back up system to achieve something similar to redundancy.
...Or maybe not... do the fucking job. I suppose it all depends on how much someone values themselves and their immediate surroundings.
I had a tow hitch red-hot fall and sever my torch... Promptly making a whipping flamethrower. Think fire hose whipping. It was proof of a one-turn fuel off!
Nice
What's with the background music
Audio cuts off at several key, critical points: ?!
~1:19, ~4:47, ~6:12, ~8:40, ~9:13, ~9:35, ~11:28 etc...
Otherwise, great video. Thanks!
Agreed, audio cuts out at important points
Remove the Noise, You cant teach people with that junk drowning you out.
If you want to learn you must listen everything.
Thumbs up
Start your cut with pressure on.
Bout like Tig lol different is one is electricity one is gas oxyacetylene . I did then both worked out ok several years down the road time wise
I'm not sure if this is a welding video, or a how not to produce music video lol.. good info though
That music man
Sound keeps dropping out
no sound?
Chill with the cheesy 80's techno music.
Good super person
the sound is on and off.
It's been over two years and the MUSIC is still in the video so I am going to give u all a thumbed down 8(
Video is nearly impossible watch with the audio dropping out
You must have listen to this before you put it on UA-cam you can't hear that music in how distracting it is anyway thanks for making the Video
The audio cuts all the time!!
Put a small bend on one end of the rod to identify the cold end
Audio dropped out in very important parts. Why even upload
Is this a welding video are a music video make up your mind
it a lightsaber were Darth Vader
The music is annoying. You really don't need it. Thanks for the video.
wont look at anyone lighting a torch without gloves. ..i
wont look at anyone lighting a torch without gloves. ..
SUARA KADANG ADA YE KADANG TAKDA . SILA TRANSLATE SENDIRI
ditch the music, it is a distraction.
I agree with the other comments. The music has to go…
Opening the oxygen too fast, it's going to blow up. Gloves are also against radiation, you don't want that UV on your skin.
Gewj
could not finish this one - music is obnoxious
FUKING AUDIO DROPS!!!
Don't put the music in next time, it's annoying as heck
Annoying music in the background!! Seems to even be distracting to the instructor! Unwatchable!
Music has to go, most annoying
Please stop that music
That background music is annoying as heck.
Remove that obnoxious sound track in the background and you’d have a better video,...we’re in a metal shop, not a dance club.
WHAT A AWFUL MUSIC
Whats with The gay music? I want only techinical info.
Volume cuts out and the music is crap.
