That’s an interesting idea. Not sure how safe that would be down there with water and mud splash, but love the thought. My plan is probably just a lifepo4 battery setup, protected in the toolbox and have it charged through the wiring harness or solar hook up. Thanks for watching!
Good stuff! Watched the entire series. Have you finished and taken it out yet? I have a 97 Ford Ranger truck bed trailer and I'm kind of stuck in my process. It wobbles side to side like nobody's business! It's much worse when loaded. It has a 4inch block lift on the springs, could that be the issue? It has also has the stock sway bar but doesn't seem to do anything. Got any ideas?
Thanks and glad you are enjoying the series. I am still working on the truck bed itself. Definitely ready to get some free time to get after it. A 4 inch block lift could definitely be your issue. That’s pretty extreme. The sway bar should help stabilize the ride on the road but will hurt its off-road capabilities. You’ve got some experimenting to do.

If using a rear axle for the axle, you should add a power drive from a forklift for a sort term power assist in sticky situations!!
Great build. What adapters are you running or do you recommend?
Brother, what you need is to adapt a alternator to the yoke for battery charging!
