Gents, I'm a pastor and somedays are really hard. The last 15 minutes of John's "DMs" and "Gooooo Jackets!!!!" was good for my soul on a tough day. Thank you and keep it up
The boys are quick to say the comments Brian picked this week were favorable towards him after 166 episodes of quite the opposite. I think the one B word we’ve never used to nickname him is Backbone, which is exactly what he is for Nateland when you look at the research he does for the topics and the endless scrolling through our comments. Keep up the great work, B!
Bill Bo Baggans and Aaron should go on tour and call it the "Young and the restless leg syndrome tour". Keep up the exquisite work you all do. So very enjoyable.
Watching Nate, Aaron and John absolutely CRY laughing about the DM's for 10 minutes straight while Breakfast sits over there smiling and being awkward for that 10 minutes was just as funny as the guys howling! Love this pod!
Okay, this has nothing to do with the topic of this weeks episode but I had to share. I’m a nurse in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and we were all sharing some stories when we had a bit of downtime. One of the nurses brought up a snake bite that they had recently taken care of so naturally we started taking about our local serpitarian In Wilmington NC which is one of my favorite jokes of Nate’s. I instantly had to share the clip with all of my coworkers including some that had actually been there 😅and needless to say they were all in stitches and crying by the end! I just wanted Nate to know that he made our whole day! Laughter is the best medicine, especially for us traumatized nurses 😂😂
The Regis episode had everything: Burrito being extra spicy, Aaron losing it laughing, and Crist thinking the episode was finished before it even started. I haven’t laughed that hard during the show in a bit. (Go Jackets!)
I was thrilled to see you adopted my suggestion for adding a parentheses to the show title, and grateful you read my comment. I will confess, though, when I first saw my suggestion implemented I was confused, thinking y’all had John Crist and Regis Philbin on. Then I remembered Regis is no longer with us (May he rest in peace). I felt a little like Nate when he goes on a rant then immediately adopts the opposing viewpoint. I still stand behind the suggestion, and I have a newfound appreciation for Nate’s openness to changing his mind. We’ll get used to it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the laughs!

I look like a maniac driving home sometimes on the highway because I’m laughing so hard alone in my car listening to the podcast. I just want you all to know that I enjoy your comedy very much and I’m thrilled to see you all being so successful. Nate, I don’t know who’s more proud of you, me or your mother for performing at Radio City Music Hall this November. I’m flying from Florida to the city to see your show even though you will be in Tampa a month later lol. Lots of love and positive vibes to all of you. Keep us laughing!

In the spirit of John Christ DM patterns, I am now commenting on this episode months later. I woke up at 3-3:30 am after falling asleep watching something on UA-cam which continued to auto play to this. I got in around Regis Philbin, and by the end, was legitimately laughing out loud by myself in the middle of the night. *One actual note -- the Cubs were also known around the country, because WGN was a clear channel (radio wise) -- it meant that after a certain time of the day, you could get that AM signal for hundreds of miles. As someone born in ‘97, I know who Rudy and Regis Philban are. I remember him hosting who wants to be a millionaire and live with Regis and Kelly. It was so sad when he left the show. But as a former middle school teacher, it always blew my mind the things kids today have no clue about. Love the podcast! My husband and I listen every week. (PS: hi from Georgia!)

Talking about well known sports lines we have one in Wisconsin. The play by play announcer for packer’s radio, Wayne Larrivee yells,” and there is your DAGGER!!!” After a big packers play. It is super iconic and such a great line.
John and Aaron remind me of the 2 kids in class that feed off each’s other energy. And Nate is the annoyed teacher. (But also reminded me of the church giggles) during the comment read I personally loved it, high energy episode. I am a huge John Crist fan, while I did miss Dusty, it was good to change it up a little!
I can’t wait for Dusty to come back! As much fun as it’s been having different guests on, the void can not be filled with what Dusty brings to the table with Nate, Weber Grill and “Sweet n Low T” Bates.
Aaron's face when he thought for a second that John might have been suggesting that too much cold would keep a fire from happening was priceless. That Notre Dame education was primed and ready to launch.
As a St. Louis Cardinals fan, the announcer moment everyone remembers is when Ozzie Smith hit a walk off home run to win the NLCS and Jack Buck said “Go crazy, Folks! Go crazy!”
Can we PLEASE get Lucy on the podcast?! (Really it would be nice to have a pod where all the wives sit in for the boys) but Lucy and Ruth have to have great stories from their work lives.

My wife and I saw Leanne in San Antonio this last weekend. We hit the 4:00 showing with the "older" folks. Think we were some of the younger ones there being in our early 40's. Would have been awesome if Bates was opening for her then. Wish we could have made it across town in SA to see Aaron that same evening. Great job as always guys!
Georgia Aquarium was designed by my best friends late father in law. You can in fact swim in the tanks. You have to be scuba certified and you travel as a group. My best friend and I walked around the aquarium and every so often, her husband and brother in law would swim by with their guide. Keep up the great work guys, loved Brian's snark this week!
The back and forth between Bates and Bargatze during the passive aggressive comments is comedy gold! John adds so much to the show too. He knows exactly how to keep the tension going in a very funny way. This was a lot of fun Boys!
There is a very awkward interaction at 40:35 that beautifully foreshadows the instantly legendary DM conversation at the end of the pod. “You’re the DM king!” Go jackets brother.
I jokingly used the name Kate The Great with my sister one time. Shortly after you guys came out with the philosophy episode. I laughed so hard when I realized I must be an absolute nightmare like Alexander. I changed my UA-cam info just so I can be "Kate The Great" here in Nateland. I guess I like you guys too much. Keep up the good work!
As a lifelong Georgian, I loved this episode. It was way better than the Illinois episode (my mom’s home state), where the comments took up an hour and a half and Illinois got about 20 minutes-but maybe that’s all it needed. Also I’m a huge Georgia Tech (and Harrison Butker) fan, and John Crist is on point about GT vs. Georgia (check out the kick and the pick against UGA)…Go Jackets! Hello folks! I'm new to the podcast - watching from the start (currently listening to episode 13). I just wanted to jump forward to the future to let you know how much I appreciate the show. So many laughs. Much love from your fan in New Zealand.
You guys were talking about Vanderbilt's punter, Brett Upson, being named MVP of the 2008 Music City Bowl. I'm actually responsible for that! I was working at a radio station in Alabama at the time, but I'm a big Vandy fan, so I got a press pass to the game. My friend Chris and I were in the press box, and the two of us started a campaign among the members of the media to vote for the punter as MVP, and... Since no one else was really worthy of the honor, they all went with it. It may be the only time in the history of bowl games that a punter has been named MVP... And I'm quite proud that I was a big part of that.
Crist is not funny in my opinion and a major creep. Look up his sexual harassment allegations. He's disgusting. I was kinda shocked Nate has had him twice on the show now.
@@reallyjuliehe didn’t harass anyone. He misrepresented himself to grown women & they made their own choices. Most stand ups do far worse on the road. Also he literally went to rehab, quit drinking & apologized for his behavior. Humor is subjective.. you don’t have to think he’s funny but cancel culture is hypocritical.
So because you don’t like him he’s not likeable? Lol.. don’t think that’s how that works. He’s an extremely successful comedian which means a whole lot of ppl like him. Nobody can win em’ all 🤷🏼♀️
I was dying when no one picked up on the Ray Charles, "I can see that" comment, only to be followed up by the Lauren Alaina comment. Nice job breakfast.
Breakfast, picks out the comments to get back at Nate and Aaron. For poking and prodding him all episode long , get it in early, good job Bates! Let's go Folks!
My son was playing the new Mortal Kombat game and he was having a tough time doing the moves, so he was getting down and frustrated. So I walked over to him and said, “I know it’s tough but you got this. Go Jackets.” 😂
I was not sure about Regis for most of the episode and then he mentioned Adventures in Odyssey. I was obsessed with that show as a kid. My opinion of him is now slightly better.
You guys I was just walking through the grocery store enjoying the lotion scene and when the stocker looked at me for the third time I had to let her know who I was listening to and that it is hilarious!!! I loved the comments, I’m not personally a fan of passive aggressiveness but that’s the only type of it I like… sarcasm passive aggressiveness. Lol. 🤷🏽♀️🤣😅🥳🥳🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the episode, one of the best ever, Nate, Aaron, and Barnacle Boy are the highlight of my week! I heard this question discussed on another podcast, and thought it sounded like Nateland material: if you. had 30 passing attempts in an NFL game, could you complete one?
I said this once before on the comments for Gregg Warrens special but we need a Nateland movie featuring Mike Vecchione and Gregg Warren as HS wrestling coaches that get one final match to see who is the best! Nate and Aaron could be the commentators on ESPN NUEVE. Brian "Brembo Brakes" Bates could be the reporter on the scene of the big match!
When Chris Johnson played for the Titans, the commentator saying “He’s got getting away from the cops speed” after a long run for a TD…. He caught some heat from saying that
After your discussion about announcers having lines "in the holster," you guys should really do an announcing episode. You could have a guest that does play-by-play. Kevin Harlen has gotta be the best right now. His iconic "I'm calling both games!" Is one of the best calls in recent announcing history. If you can't get, Kevin Harlen, Michael Grady who does play-by-play for the Timberwolves is a young up and coming announcer with great lines Including a "Dearly Beloved" when Taurean PRINCE hit a big shot. I'll go proofread this now.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets this vibe. He seems fake and full of himself.
Crist is not funny in my opinion and a major creep. Look up his sexual harassment allegations. He's disgusting. I was kinda shocked Nate has had him twice on the show now.
Only watched because of John Crist. Huge fan. It would’ve been boring without him. Go jackets!
Nobody can win em’ all 🤷🏼♀️
I cannot stop watching this one. I cry every time
I was dying when no one picked up on the Ray Charles, "I can see that" comment, only to be followed up by the Lauren Alaina comment. Nice job breakfast.
I just found this podcast. How did i not know you were out there. Lol. Love it.
Go Jackets.” 😂
if you don’t want the other team to get the ball, don’t fumble it. you can’t claim possession of something you no longer possess
Miss you Dusty! Get well soon!
Love the episode, one of the best ever, Nate, Aaron, and Barnacle Boy are the highlight of my week! I heard this question discussed on another podcast, and thought it sounded like Nateland material: if you. had 30 passing attempts in an NFL game, could you complete one?
As someone that watched Regis and Kathie Lee as a new stay at home mom, Regis talked about Notre Dame religiously!
What a way to finish the episode. What a funny ending. Reading DMs was great!
A lot of RaceTrac gas stations have walk in beer coolers. I've gone in them to cool down during hot summer days more than once.
I'm 26 and I remember listening to Adventures in Oddessy all the time while in the car when I was young
Iconic line - “He can go all the way!!!!!!!!!”
When Chris Johnson played for the Titans, the commentator saying “He’s got getting away from the cops speed” after a long run for a TD…. He caught some heat from saying that
The new response to "Hey, Bear." "Go, Jackets!!"
Brian Bates is my favorite on the podcast by far and is easily a top 10 comic of all time! (Now my comment will 1000% make it on an episode)
Hey, Brian. The rest of us got the joke with the comments you selected, even if Nate didn't get it.
Hey Brian how was ur week? It was my father in laws 60th birthday and we did a big cook out and guess what, barely anybody showed up. So we had a bunch of leftovers bc no one took any of the extra and my wife brought it to work and fed everyone for 2 days sort of a bread and fish situation bc it didn't seem like there was enough for 2 days bit I guess it was. Hear from u next week, take care
