I'm terminally sick, and alongside that I've been diagnosed with extreme depression and anxiety, extreme PTSD and severe night terrors . I listen to you, when it's a dark place day with my illness. Not only do you give me light to guide me out when only I see darkness , but you give me that little fight to see another day. I don't have many things I want to do on my bucket list, only I hope one day I finally get to see you play live. This may sound morbid to some of you guys who read comments but this will be playing at my funeral
Keep fighting, God has given you another day for a reason. None of us get out of this alive, some of us are alive but have never lived. I wish you the peace that we hope to find, we will meet you there...
Sat here on my bed crying like a baby, reading these kind messages from people that doesn't know who I am, yet you've taken time to write something kind. Please don't think I wrote what I did for sympathy it wasn't, just wanted to say because of this man's awesome playing it helps me when I see nothing but darkness. Thankyou to all of you
I am 71 and am going through alot of things in my life. I grew up listening to rock in the 60s - 70s , then switched to country, then blues. I love the way you play and what you choose to play. I now have cancer that I have been fighting since 2020. I sit on my back porch by myself and listen to you to relax let my mind wander to the music. Thank you so much for what you do.
I'm sitting in my car as I wait for wife to come out of the hair salon. Right beside me in a doorway of an unused store at the moment are the belongings of a man who is living on the streets. Not far from him is another man who certainly has mental issues. Hollering at everyone as they walk by. A parks her car right beside him and gets out to take something to a shop. She stops and interacts with the man as he's yelling, says something and goes to the shop. She comes back out and looks at him and quickly walks to the car. I'm thinking she's making a hasty getaway. Well, was I ever wrong. She pops the trunk of her car pulls out a backpack and walks over to the man and gives it to him. That man had a smile on his face that would light the world. It was amazing to witness that.
Thank you Justin. My wife and I are sitting at the hospital waiting to deliver our baby unexpectedly today. The timing and the soulfulness of your song was just perfect. What a blessing 🙏🏻
I hope you might read this this some day, but I wanted you to know your music is one of the things that inspired me to rise up out of the hole I was recently in and carry on. hearing your interpretation and soul in every note you play made me see the better and beautiful part of life and gave me a new hobby and outlet . Thank you.
Just such beautiful music......one of my favorites. So many people dismiss this song as a religous song when it's one of the most beautiful and sad stories of life.....
Hey, Thanks for the calm. I need it today 'cause for our 35th anniversary I decided the best gift that I can give my husband is to quit smoking. Today is the first day 'cause I didn't want to be dealing with that on Sunday. That's right, we got married on valentines day, at a justice of the peace, who looked at me and said, 'looks like y'all made it just in time." One friends kid was screaming, "i gotta pee" through most of it and the other friend was freaking out with all the law enforcement constantly passing by in the hallway. It was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. Ain't love grand? Anyway, thanks again for the soothing music! All the best to y'all, M.M.
I've been listening to Justin's music since mid July and its been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm going through a lot right now emotionally and other ways. My mornings start with Justin's music and my evening's as well. If im having a really rough day I listen to him wherever or whatever im doing. It makes me very happy to see Justin's music also reaches others and helps them? Ive always said music is the best way to communicate and it heals. Blessings to all of you out there. For Justin ❤thank you for sharing your beautiful talent and music. Best Always Rusty in Oklahoma 🎉😊
A valid warrant of gratification when seeing you play. Wonderful, my son was playing his game while I just let this play on my phone, caught in a trance my son commented, "Dad that's nice, sounds good." Mind ya he's 8 but still such a great feeling we get listening to ya groove like ya do my friend.
I have throat and lung cancer. I play guitar and I just bought some new equipment. I have a 2006 reissue Les Paul Custom, 3 pickups,no Bigsby vibrato tailpiece model. With medication I plan to Enjoy Life. Justin Johnson empires me
I have crap satellite internet and it's been extra slow this last month. I literally drove to town to download your latest Bootleg album and seen that you had posted this song. Listening to this while downloading your album and wow. You never disappoint. This song is already beautiful but your playing made it more so. Your music just keeps me sane and calms me, going through all the stuff I've been going through the last year and a half. Thank you.
You were always a fabulous blues man, but since branching out into ballads, Beatles and other genres you have become a real all-round musician. One of this World's greatest guitarists.
The precision at which this man plays a stringed instrument is unparalleled by anything I've ever seen. Every upload is a true joy in my life, even the ones where I'm not a fan of the original.
Oh My GoD!! I love this song !!! and on a Wild guitar, you must have french blood in your veins ;) i listening you all day thank you for your talent and your passion to be dreaming us !!! From a French guitarist guy who admire you, thank you again!!
Oh man.. My daughter wasn't able to fall asleep until she was about 3 without listening to this song .. Was trying to get her to sleep one night, she stopped crying, and nodded right off when this song came on the stereo real low.. Tried it the next night and it worked again. Night after night for years lol.. It bugged me back then.. Hearing the same song on repeat each night lol but now.. It holds a very dear spot in my heart. Love this cover man. Now... I could listen to it forever.
I played my new electric violin to this and I've had a bad day today but it melted away when I saw this. I'm so glad you recorded this! Super sweet bro. Thanks!

I can hear Leonard singing in the background. That's a lovely thing.
My spirit feels like it's had a massage, a nice dinner and half a bottle of wine.😊🐝❤
It goes like this, the forth the fifth, the minor falls and the major lifts, a baffled king composing hallelujah❣
well done Justin💜💜
