Some points that I need to correct here : At 13:47, I stated that you need to trim the zipper to measure 11", please disregard, it should be 12" long instead At 16:50 , I wrote to cut the strap anchors 3" long, please ignore that, the measurements should be 2.5" long, as stated on the cutting At 20:02 , I said to measure 3 and 1/4" from the edge of the fabric, it should've been 3/4". instructions. Thank you! I'm not really sure about soft leather, it might gonna be too bulky with the batting & the overlapping, maybe you can do a bit of testing, see if it will work. Otherwise, you may try a different method that will achieve somewhat similar look that I shared in this video ==> ua-cam.com/video/GOQxTVJK5KQ/v-deo.html .
Thank you for another great tutorial. Since I am a visual learner the editing that you did helped, but I could see the correct measurement. I have a big trash bag of scraps that I need to retrieve before garbage collection comes.
I am about to try this pattern out. I am so excited as I have an embroidery machine and just downloaded a cell phone design so it will go on the front of my purse the design has a circle around the cell phone and says hang up and drive. cute huh for such a cute pattern. Wish me luck. BTW, I love that you have the time stamps in the videos it sure makes it easy.
Is there anyway you can place the D-rings on a different way, so the bag hangs more equal. I am having problems with them pulling out of the sides. Thanks.
I love all your bags and have made a few of them . On some of the cross body bags I would like to change to straps to come come the back and front of the bag and not the sides. I don’t like to look of the straps sticking out the side. Would that be a hard thing to do? Thanks again.
Love this pattern. I am not sure where you measured the 3 1/4” when making the box corners for the bottom of the bag. Did you measure from the corner up the seam line or from the corner down the side of the triangle formed?
Yoan you are by far my most favorite sewing tutor on You Tube! I have made many of your projects, and this particular one I’ve made four or five times and they are all beautiful! I am confused about one thing that keeps cropping up whenever I make this bag ..... you mention that the zipper should be 11” long, and when attaching to the bag it should be 1/2” short on each end. But my bag measures 13” per the instructions, so I am always left with 1” on each side. What am I doing wrong??
Hi Leslie, you're not doing anything wrong, I did make a mistake on the zipper measurements, it should be trimmed to measure 12" long, I really appreciate that you pointed this out, I will make the necessary corrections, and apologize for the confusion.
There isn't any problem with the download. Sometimes an advertising pop when you click the button, just close that, then it will take you to the file. Thanks.
Is there a mistake in measuring the zipper? Multiple times you said 11” inches for the zipper, but when laid on the 13” exterior bag piece, there would be 1” on either side, not 1/2”. I believe my zipper is now cut too short! Looks like it should have been cut to 12 inches. Where did I go wrong?
I am so disappointed. I had to scroll way down to see that it wasn’t my mistake. I have quite a lot of fabric and time invested in this bag. Is there any way to remedy this other than going out and buying a new zipper? How did others handle this problem?
Hi Linda, what you can do, is to sew the sides with 1" seam allowance instead (then trim off the seam allowance to reduce the bulk). Apologize that you didn't see the revise soon enough, I have put notes in the comment, and description box, also updated the pattern, unfortunately I couldn't edit the video that has been uploaded to UA-cam. Thanks.
@@YoanSewingStudio I am so happy I saw that but I would have altered it just the way you described. Linda, I hope your bag turned out great. Wish there was a way to share pictures here, well there probably is and I just dont know how to. Would love to see yours Linda.

What type of sewing machine do you use? Love your videos, very detailed. Thank you
Hi, in this video I used Janome DC 2014, but my main sewing machine right now is Juki TL18QVP
Thank you so much

Thank you.
Love this pattern. I am not sure where you measured the 3 1/4” when making the box corners for the bottom of the bag. Did you measure from the corner up the seam line or from the corner down the side of the triangle formed?
it should be 3/4" from the corner up, not 3 and 1/4", I did make a remark about that on my comment and description box. thanks

Which way do you fold the zipper teeth

Que pena, ella no dice las medidas en centímetros. Me gustaría hacerlo 😢
