Sony LG-S50G Google Assistant-Equipped Smart Speaker Review

Quick review of the Sony LG-S50G smart speaker, equipped with the Google Assistant. Good looking speaker with good omnidirectional sound quality, though not big enough to pack much of a punch when listening to music. Worth the price if you can get it at a good discount from MSRP.

Any chance you also have some other speakers that I might be able to compare to personally? I have the Sony HG1, JBL Playlist, Harman Kardon Onyx 3 and Omni 20. =) (and also the Google Home mini, which I'm sure is not better than this Sony you're reviewing lol)

I have a Google home Mini. This is much better than that. It is also better sounding that the regular Google Home. I have the Onkyo Google Home speaker and this isn't as good as that one which has much more bass response. Basically I consider it to be somewhere between a Google Home and Google Home Max in terms of sound quality and bass response, if that helps at all. I had the Onyx 3 for a while and I would say that produced a fuller sound (though uni-directional) but the one I had didn't have Google Assistant built-in (I'm not sure if they have one that does now?).

@@michaelscott8955 thanks so much for the ONLY thorough reply I've ever received!!!! and no Onyx 3 doesn't have Google Assistant built-in T_T otherwise I would've been very happy with that and not browse anymore haha... right now I'm using my Google Home Mini with Bluetooth output to my HK Omni 20 (coz its always on) while it's also connected to my PC as speakers (had the Edifier Luna Eclipse but just taking up too much space of my PC table =( ) but with this setup, still no clock display so...... and thank you for mentioning the Onkyo speaker! didn't know about that one so I'll look it up ^^
