- Who you gonna call? This week Eugene shows how he created the leg hose for his Ghostbusters costume. The 3D printed parts were modeled in Fusion 360 using tgoacher's original model and printed on a Dremel Idea Builder using Hatchbox filament.

I used a combination of hot water, turmeric, apple cider vinegar and yellow food colouring. Left submerged 24 hours. Turned out really good, bright yellow.
Magnets are great. I use two big magnets to hold my neutrona wand to my pack. Never thought of this for the hose. Thanks!
A spoonful of turmeric also achieves the coloring effect in hot water :) Probably cheaper easier and quicker too.
It's what I used.
If you use a washer and don't want it to fall into your boots when the hose gets disconnected: since it's got a hole in the middle, you could just tie a thread around it and fasten it somewhere.
I haven't got the flight suit yet so I don't know if there's a good place to tie it to, but if there isn't you could just use a safety pin.
Nice channel! I found the salt and half the dye gave a really deep yellow. Keep them coming!!
Great idea with the magnet. I was thinking about putting it on my pants, but it has problems with a laundry. So I thought about using velcro, but it would not be well finished either.
Use AZO to dye the hose. It will give a deeper yellow color.
I did it! You can do it with plain warm water this way. It's so easy.

Home depot: 1/2 outer diameter tube, 3/8ths inner diameter. Washer from bin 2647
Lee Valley: Magnets - 3/8ths diameter (9mm-ish) x 6. 4 for the housing back, one for the tube connector, one for inside the housing. Contact cement/super glue. I also glued a piece of 2mm craft foam on the back of the housing.
