@Phil Meup Guys, a better overall diagnostic on both engine and supercharger would be sorted in Miami and reset. Even if Brian solves the engine issue if it should have one the charger may have to be rechecked also.
You should at least offer to look at it... it’s probably something stupid simple you could have fixed in 10 minutes. Then he spends 2k to ship it there and back plus the cost of labor parts lol
@@karter2895 From PA to Florida is around $500 to ship give or take a little. Its about .60 a mile as car haulers stack on multiple vehicles going that direction to average a $2 or more a mile average.

I just bought a 2018 F150 SuperCrew and it literally just did the same thing your truck did it turned out it was camshaft timing sensor they basically had to reprogram the truck and I haven't had an issue since
No SHIT, 10 minute easy fix! Camshaft Positioning Sensor. It goes bad, throws the truck out of timing and it does sound like a compression issue. Was going to scribe but No Thanks!
Why in the world would your first course of action be to ship it back to Florida? Get your mechanic friend or a specialty shop in the area to look at it first. Why waste hundreds maybe even a thousand+ in shipping fees? Especially since this may be a Ford problem and not a supercharger problem...terrible decision my dude.
This isn’t the 150 that has the water pump mounted on the timing chain is it? I like how they fail and drain water into the oil pan and if not caught right away can destroy the engine.

I have a 2014 F150 XL. 4x4. 5.0. I had the towing package put on it when I got new. 6 speed With the 355 running gears it has 125.000 miles on it I have had no problems out of the truck except for the recalls from Ford that’s it Does my truck have too many miles to put a supercharger on it I don’t want to max it out but I would love the supercharger sound and maybe 150 to 200 more horsepower basically my question is do you think I have Too many miles on her
My supercharged F-150 did something similar. It turned out to be a melted valve (they called it "tuliped" valve, like the flower) which caused the truck to run on 7 cylinders only. but it still ran/drove.
I have a 1999 F-150 that I purchased for $1700. (Including tax, plates, licensing, etc.) I will try to get it fixed up for emissions in April (replacement thermostat). Hope that the truck gets fixed.

I wouldn’t regret it. Engines can blow up even without mods. Of course they can more likely blow with mods. It’s well known but you do it still cuz you love modifying and personalising. But did they provide you with a warranty like a years worth or a mileage warranty? They’re always good to have.
I think it's the oil pump gears. The factory gears are perfectly fine, until you super charge it. The mustang 5.0 guys install billet oil pump gears when tuning and super charging.
PLEAS READ THIS Mick. put a cam shaft censor in it it’s a easy job and there not a lot of money, if the censor goes down you loos power and it will run rough and possibly mis fire. GET ONE FITTED before you ship it and don’t waste your money. (Try it first you won’t cause any damage remember to have the fault code reset before trying to re start it it’s worth trying first ask your Frend at fords for his advice. THE battery is just flat that’s why it won’t start on your latest video Pleas try it you have nothing to loose and every thing to gain yours Ian from the uk

I remember it took some extra time to supercharge your F-150. Does this have something to do with that? I think it was a leak and some replaced spark plugs. Maybe you just need new spark plugs?
Just to be clear, do you have some form of (extended) warranty on the truck from VMP? If not, you will be paying for any repairs, just as you would when you send the truck to your local Ford dealer. But it will be a good video again for the pick up in and drive home from Florida. Only some extra cost.

I learned the hard way over and over. No more expensive mods for many reasons. If I want more power, better handling or looks I'll go buy it or save up for it.
I think i may have taken it to the dealer just to see what was wrong with it. who knows it could be something that would be covered under warranty. and even still Ford would have to prove that what ever was wrong with it was a direct result of the supercharger to void the warranty. Might have been worth checking out before sending all the way back down to Florida. and it would have given VMP a little heads up on having parts ready should the warranty not cover it. etc. just a thought.
Wow, So started watching Mike's Channel 3 years ago, when I bought my brand new Kia; in that time Mike's brand new Mercedes was destroyed do to water damage, then he bought another one and continued to have problems with that one as well. Then He modified the F-150 and more problems follow, then He trades the Mercedes for a Ferrari F-12, and that Now is in the shop. My Kia has been trouble Free this whole time, Big Smile......

I think your engine is out of time, if you care to read my out of order story feel free: I know the 3.5 ecoboost in my explorer sport stretched it's timing chain and fucked up pretty much the whole engine. It was stock boost from the stock turbos but from the research I've done and the codes that showed it seems like these timing chains can't take the sudden power or something. The car was under warranty and they had to rebuild 50% of the engine including the turbos. I'd just keep that in mind, my 2014 explorer sport has like 65k miles on it. The symptoms of that were mainly it sounding different and it feeling weak. It wasn't until it was too late that it threw a code and we had it towed, once it showed a code we didn't drive it which probably saved it from even more damage. I remember the check engine light coming on when I floored it leaving a parking lot. This might seem really out of order, it's 3am and I keep posting it and making edits so sorry if it seems confusing
Mike, I was lucky enough when I supercharged my Mercury Marauder I had one of the best Ford tuners in the country here in the Detroit area. You need to find a reliable Ford tuner in your area just you won't to ever have to ship it again for problems. Good luck with it. BTW, keep the miles off my winning Mercedes......Also, I checked out Seth's site and he is really good. Way to go Seth.

Like I said, on my 2015 F150, I was getting electrical warnings off and on which later turned out to be the fuse 27 issue that Ford knew about...the mini fuse would have micro crack....
Same thing happened to my 2013 5.0 V8. Of course I know that’s the previous generation but it’s still the same engine. All I have in mine is an intake and exhaust.

Why wouldn’t you just bring it to ford? Just because you put a turbo on that doesn’t void the entire warranty. It voids essentially the engine only but it could be 50 other things
You need to start reviewing and putting other cars on ur channel. There’s only so much of ur family cars we want to see. Really think going to dealers and reviewing sport cars for the day will be beneficial for your channel.

People need to understand that theres different types of car guys. You got people who like cars but dont really know how they work except for the basics. They know how to add exterior stuff to make the vehicle look good but when it comes to mechanical aspect of it they just have someone else do the work and understand little about it
I'm starting to have second thoughts.... Considering having Ford install a supercharger and related, required, upgrades. (Steel billet OPG, cam sprocket, etc) on my 2016 King Ranch, but mannnnn .. your engine getting grenaded gives me pause.

He did its a two man job to open it though. The to open the latch is dodgy so someone must have hold of the lever until you start lifting it.

People need to understand that theres different types of car guys. You got people who like cars but dont really know how they work except for the basics. They know how to add exterior stuff to make the vehicle look good but when it comes to mechanical aspect of it they just have someone else do the work and understand little about it

Considering having Ford install a supercharger and related, required, upgrades. (Steel billet OPG, cam sprocket, etc) on my 2016 King Ranch, but mannnnn .. your engine getting grenaded gives me pause.
Goodluck on the shipping of the F150 and repairs hopefully nothing to serious. I think you should put some cheap hub caps on the hooptie to make it look styling.
