10 years on from being the highest paid actor on television here he is on a cheap tabloid talk show. It would be good to see the beginning of the show. Thank you for uploading this 👍👍
I wish Jan was able to overcome his struggles and was still around. He was one of my favourite actors growing up. It makes me sad to think how is all turned out for him.
What an interesting interview! It is refreshing to see JMV speaking about his problems in his own words without them being manipulated by the press. Thank you for sharing this and I do hope that my childhood hero continues to rest in peace. Fly high JMV! ❤️
Sadly his problems were starting to affect his work around that time. When Dan Curtis casted him as Byron in the 1983 epic miniseries " The Winds of War", Producers in Hollywood warned Curtis that he "has a problem".
@@HeadsUpNorth I guess he could be a mercenary type. He always gave me the impression that he was an unorthodox type, kinda like James Dean's Rebel without a clause. It'd dovetail well with Maverick's character in the Top Gun (1986). Shame ! alcohol and drugs took his life early.
This interview may have been the last time Vincent had any control over his addictions. Afterwards his life went downhill which lead to his death a few years ago. It’s a shame he could never beat his addictions. He was a very talented actor.
Myth. He was on $40K an episode. All that false reporting about “highest paid”, $100K, $200K is all nonsense, myth and fairytale. I was told directly by Airwolf Producer what Jan was on.
When I was a kid watching Airwolf I didn’t want to believe anything and I mean anything bad about him I would’ve believed it if god told me. If only he would’ve straightened up at this point he might’ve been able to act again.
In 1996 a year after this video JMV wrecked his car with his housekeeper inside. The accident was so bad it left him with a RASPY voice. His housekeeper sued him. Turns out he was high or drunk when he crashed. He never really got any more parts afterwards. Threw his career away/ flushed it down the toilet do to all the booze and drugs. Before he died he looked like a homeless person with an amputated leg.
What a waste of a fabulous actor due to alcohol and drugs,he was one of the highest payed actors in Hollywood making 200 thousand dollars an episode for Airwolf. I loved watching him on the Winds of War mini series and especially AIRWOLF.
It's hard for a man when he does not have great chemistry with attractive women. That young man was just angry and envious at Tommy Lee (because he married a Penthouse pet). 2024, USA
Geraldo Rivera You can either love him or hate him . But he makes great T.V. I love if ITV over in England would have him on I'm a celebrity get me out of here.

You are right.
Thank you for posting this. I'm forever a fan of Jan Michael Vincent.

Very well said. I agree.
Great Rare Video Thanks for posting it
Watch The Mechanic with JMV and Bronson. I love this film since I watched as a child in the 1970s. Never forgot the twist ending since then.
Fun fact, screenwriter said that that Bishop and his apprentice were going to lovers. Too bad because that would have been interesting to see.
❤JM❤ was and is my favourite actor.
The worlds greatest athlete is one of my favourite movies JMV rules
Thank you for posting this rare Jan Michael Vincent interview
Damn, I'm surprised this guy lived as long as he did
Me too.
Jan Michael Vincent always seemed an unfulfilled talent showed promise unfortunately addictions and self destruction derailed his career
Jan Michael wifebeater has been one of my favorite actors, RIP😢
feltz...mmm....
JMV is legend. Everyone has faults and has been through trials and tribulations. No one is perfect. I wish him the best in his remaining days.
He died almost 5 years ago.
I'm surprised they didn't ask him to play Maverick in Top Gun (1986), I think he'd be better than Tom Cruise.
Sadly his problems were starting to affect his work around that time.

Airwolfs demise was him. Not completely but he was a factor in it

UA-cam said Jan Michael Vincent made during "Airwolf", $200,000 dollars an episode. I thought they we're going to say "a year".

Why are these people up there talking about their personal lives?
Usually well known people don't want to speak about their private lives.
Because there wasn't Twitter yet but narcissistic proclivities are timeless
@@label_me well said! damn good old days we miss.

Jan Michael Vincent unfortunately had problems back then. He clearly had problems.

Jan messed up his own life 😜
Looks like Jan paid the Ultimate Vincent Price?
Since when do tabloid personnel share a stage with actors, then are allowed to make stupid comments about them?
Always had good hair 🤣
What did he died of ?😮😢😢
Cardiac arrest at the age of 74 in 2019
What is a career to corrupt

Even then, Geraldo was unwatchable. CRINGE
Geraldo Rivera You can either love him or hate him . But he makes great T.V. I love if ITV over in England would have him on I'm a celebrity get me out of here.
even gladstone was nice. today bad. like junk. they have no ideas theems like, all the peanuts in earlyer times hihihihihihihihihih. great was it .
Jan was passed around like a Ken doll by gay Hollywood Producers agents directors early on.
Very sad I just saw big Wednesday and feel deeply sorry for him idk why theres a lot too it but it's just looks sad
Do you have any links to that claim?
Hi
Breathtaking bullshit.
He comes from a pretty tough background. I can’t really see him allowing that
Vincent sounds drunk here
I know. He called Geraldo “Geraldi “ 😂
Geraldo...as much as a joke then as he is now
Haraldo what kind of queer name do you talk off proos where is shot of location lady
