Nitecore EDC27, 8 months later

The Nitecore EDC27 is a slimline EDC flashlight. I've been carrying it for around 8 months now and I have a few thoughts about it.

I've had for 7 months and keep it on lock 1 with no problems. Using it this way the burn risk is avoided but downside is need for double press and ~3/4 sec delay to turn on. This is a reasonable trade-off for me as the security feature of instant-on strobe and flat form factor are main reasons I chose. The unit also appears to be well-made. So far I've been pleased with the purchase. I saw a video indicating a new version with some improvements is coming or just released, as well as a slightly scaled-down model with reduced cost (EDC 25).
