The desire to not "spoil" games for his viewers is something I really admire in pete. It shows that his passion for what he does is greater than revealing things in a story to make himself look hungry for views. Perfect example of the latter is Gamespot. Yes I am 100% blacklisting them
1:33 I can pretty much relate to Pete. I was the exact same way when it came to Pokemon. I sold most of my pokemon cards and gave them up, but my friend gave me his old ones and now I have another card collection again.
The Vita and it's growing library of titles, is getting more impressive all the time. I am so glad I took the plunge and got one recently. Haven't got Dragon's Crown yet though, but it will probably be the next title I get.
Hey Pete! Great to see another one of your videos! Thanks for sharing these recent pickups. Always love to watch your collection grow. Keep up the great work!
It would be if you could provide video of the games in these videos, or at close up shots of the back of the box. Just something to switch things up and give us a little bit of a better insight into what these games are. Just an idea, glad to see you making videos again.
That Muramasa game might not have been shipped from their warehouse - maybe was packaged by a private seller. If you contact them they'll probably send you a pre-paid return shipping label, and will send you a replacement. They are really good about that.
Just curious, did you sell Dragon's Crown before they patch it? With the latest patch, they fixed most of the issues in the game. For Pokemon, it appeals to both the casual and hardcore gamers. The casual gamer can easily have fun playing the story mode and collecting new pokemon. At the same time, there is a complex gameplay mechanism that is tailored for the hardcore (I.E. EV training, IV Training, Determining a suitable nature for your pokemon). Also, a lot of people grew up with Pokemon.
btw i came across your channel via that really rare psychic assassin saturn game, and you mentioned radiant silvergun Hiroshi Iuchi (who did both radiant, ikargua, and psychi assassin) has a new 3ds eshop game called Kokuga コクガ that you might want to check out. It's really one of his better even if the graphics are sparse, the 3D effect is amazing tons of levels under levels.
Welcome back, Pete! Some fantastic additions to your collection for sure, I just picked up a 3DS XL & a copy of Pokemon X myself. Keen for some more content from you!
ROOM TOUR...lol, someone had to do it :p Awesome stuff, Pete. Glad to see you back with another video man. Also happy to hear you had a safe and very enjoyable trip to Japan. It was so awesome to hear about your experience on the podcast. No need to apologize for the lack of videos as of late. Real life always takes priority. But man, lots of great games in this one! Happy to hear you've still had a chance to get some nice gaming in! Thanks for sharing, Pete!
Well its good to see you back Pete, hopefully the schooling is not getting the better of you. I'm gad you promoted time and eternity a bit, I got the collector's edition myself and I think despite its flaws and really low score, I can see myself really enjoying this game as well.
I'm surprised you received a game damaged like that from Amazon. I worked there for a few weeks (horrible job) and they have a policy in the warehouse that anything you pick out that has even the slightest dent or crease on it has to be spoiled, and collector's editions like that would normally get sent using a box... Must be a UK thing only i guess.
Hey Pete, just kind of wanted your opinion. I have about 6 games that ive started to play and that i want in my collection but i have not finished them and havent played them in quite a while. Do you think I should try to finish these before the next gen consoles come out, or is having multiple games in your collection that you started but never finished normal and okay? thanks!!! :D
Hi Pete, I know you won't answer it but I was wondering what's the percentage of the games you own that you actually enjoy to play. I always watch your videos and in your pick ups videos there're just a few games you say it's good. I have a quite large collection as well and I can tell that there isn't any game in my collection that I think it's bad and I have played through most of them as well but it seems like in you collection is most games you don't play or/and don't like. Great video btw.
Hey Pete, like a lot of people I was going to get Watch Dogs with my PS4. Seeing as how that's delayed now. what one game would you recommend me buy with my PS4? I know it's a hard question to answer but I trust your opinion on games. Thanks!
hey pete its not true that you have to play through the entire single player to play online with dragons crown, you need to play maybe a couple hours until you get to this certain part of the story,no spoilers, but you dont have to play the entire thing.i actually like that they do that so people actually know what theyre doing with their character beforehand
Love The Last of Us, surprised you said "crazy shooter" though, I'd say it was more hyper intense stealth, with shooting being the last resort if things go bad, you don't really get enough ammo to go all out postal, every bullet has to count.
I'm so glad I picked up Pokémon X. Same boat as you, hadn't played one in a while, but man I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Also: mandatory love for The Last of Us. Incredible game. Great video, man!
Thanks for posting this. I like how you have such versatile tastes and are knowledgeable about and enjoy so many different types of games. I couldn't agree more about Muramasa; The amazing graphics and combat carry it. One of the prettiest games ever made, not just on Vita. The Last Of Us is incredible and after finishing it I was sort of emotionally wiped out for a couple days. It stayed with me. I played it on the harder difficulty, I think this is the way it should be played.
Nice video once again ! I think it be nice if you could show some gameplay scenes of the games youre talking about. I personally had no idea how SMT 4 looks on the 3ds so maybe a short clip to underline your comment might help. Regards
Amazon isn't in control of every item that ships. Individual companies can list and sell items, so when you order something, it comes from them, not Amazon.
I actually had the same issue with Tales of Xillia CE. I bought it from Amazon USA and had it shipped to Ireland. It was damaged on the side similar to yours. Contacted Amazon and they refunded me 50% of the price, which cushioned the blow. I also got to keep the game. Worth a try at least.
i think he said it was from an expo or con or something to promote the release of the ico/sotc hd collection, but i could be wrong. it was probably in a pick up video from a year or more ago
Hey Pete. Good video once again man! I always enjoy watching them and hear your opinions about games (as they so often coincide with mine). That's an affirmative on the PS4 and Xbox One video :) I look forward to it.
I really enjoyed Class of Heroes 2. I was able to get through it in about 40-50 hours and thought it was a good diversion from typical console RPGs. It had been many years since I'd played a game along the same lines as Wizardry. That was Wizardry 7, so that probably puts it into the mid '90s. I was pretty convinced that this type of RPG wasn't for me, but gave it a shot and was hooked. My physical copy arrived in the mail today as well (played through the PSN release).
Did you buy it from Amazon or an Amazon retailer? Because there is a difference. I would say some of the Amazon retailers are kind of shady/bad in my experience.
The Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all time. I enjoyed just exploring the environment and finding supplies. It was nice to play a game that offered more than just fight scenes. More importantly, the story is amazing! I played through the game twice so far on solo and I also played online. I didn't enjoy the online game play because it was more like COD. If anyone hasn't played TLOF, you are missing out on a great game! TLOF also has a great soundtrack.
hey dude if you want to save money you could get the 2ds and pokemon x or y...alot of people think that there will be a bundle for the 2ds and pokemon near christmas so hopefully that helps..i know that i will definitely purchase the 2ds and pokemon.
I know what you mean about Time and Eternity Pete, I actually tried the game at E3. It wasn't amazing but I didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. It seemed like it would probably get average reviews.
I'm the same with T&E.. must say it's one of those "guilty pleasures".. due to having to forgive alot.. I've played 15hrs 32mins & although I swapped it in the end for Tales of Xillia (I only lost £2 in exchange from what I bought it for).. I remember a hint of regret in my decision to do so..
Hey Pete, one thing I noticed in a few videos was that you're saying niche wrong. It's pronounced "neesh" not "nitch", it's french :) Love the videos, would love to see some more game hunting videos!
I thought you said the downloadable title you purchased was Parodius, the Gladius parody by Hudson featuring Bomberman as a fly able ship. I recently purchased it on one of the PSP PC Engine collections, but once you said it was a pseudo game where you wander and hear sounds I realized it was a different game. Nice pickups though all modern and no retro :( Still GREAT video man, keep up the great work on the podcast as well as this channel!
PETE, PETE, PETE.... RAYMAN LEGENDS?! You love Rayman and this game really needs love D: I bought it for PS3 but it would make a great addition to your anemic Wii U collection

Your videos are reaaly great Peter. Thanks for sharing it with us :)
PeteDorr videos feel like home, I used to watch these Game I Bought Recently a lot as a kid lol
Love this guy videos, and Im not even sure why. Its relaxing, he has his own pace and taste. I never miss one. Thanks for the video, dude!

AWESOME SHIRT! I recently completed Ico and man, it's a masterpiece. I can really understand why it's your favourite game of all time.
I am also a HUGE naughty dog can but I have to say it took me about 17 hours to beat The Last Of Us. I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!
The Vita and it's growing library of titles, is getting more impressive all the time. I am so glad I took the plunge and got one recently.
Haven't got Dragon's Crown yet though, but it will probably be the next title I get.

Keep em coming Pete! It's always interesting to hear your opinions on games for some reason..

I can't wait to dive into Dragons Crown with my friends. We have been wanting to give it a go.
Great video!
Pete, definitely get back to SMTIV when you have the time. The story really takes off. It's a rare gem in terms of mature storytelling.
Just curious, did you sell Dragon's Crown before they patch it? With the latest patch, they fixed most of the issues in the game. For Pokemon, it appeals to both the casual and hardcore gamers. Pete, have you played Beyond: Two Souls? It's an interesting game with amazing graphics that look like you're watching a movie.
Well its good to see you back Pete, hopefully the schooling is not getting the better of you. I'm gad you promoted time and eternity a bit, I got the collector's edition myself and I think despite its flaws and really low score, I can see myself really enjoying this game as well.

I have to ask is that "The Last of Us" steelbook from Future Shop?

Can anyone tell me the name of the PC game where the girl comes back home and finds the note? I try but can't understand it!
lol why does it matter if the box is dented? It's just gonna get put on the shelf and gather dust forever. Just put it the other way round.
The legend is back. There are many good gaming channels out there, but Pete is the best.
OMG you are ALIVE! Welcome back Pete! I hope you continue to make videos consistantly.
Love The Last of Us, surprised you said "crazy shooter" though, I'd say it was more hyper intense stealth, with shooting being the last resort if things go bad, you don't really get enough ammo to go all out postal, every bullet has to count.
Sorry, but I couldn't really get the name of the first digital game you downloaded. Could someone help me with that?
I really need to buy a 3DS and re buy my pokemon games, Pete, do you know where I can get a Boxed Heart Gold?
I got Pokemon Y Version! In fact Did you Also get Rayman Legends or Rune Factory 4? I missed you so much Pete!

Great video! Good to have you back :-) Where did you get that MegaMan figure!? :D
You mentioned that there are lots of jrpg for the vita right know, but I'm afraid the most of them aren't available in english. Or am I wrong? :S
I'm so glad I picked up Pokémon X. Same boat as you, hadn't played one in a while, but man I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
Also: mandatory love for The Last of Us. Incredible game. Great video, man!

Did you not get the Kickstarter edition of CoH2?

He's back! Good to see you making more videos mate :)
It's cool you are still part of youtube gaming community
You know now that you mentioned it, I think I do recall something mentioned in a previous video. It's a pretty awesome shirt.
Have you picked up Beyond yet, Pete?
Do you buy all your games first hand or second/pre-owned?
Welcome back and I personally like Time and Eternity. lol and my copy of Muramasa is in that exact same condition thanks to Amazon
Happy to see a new video!! I hope you're able to upload more videos soon :D

Press the button that says Caps Lock on your keyboard. It's usually on the left hand side :)
Did you buy it from Amazon or an Amazon retailer? Because there is a difference. I would say some of the Amazon retailers are kind of shady/bad in my experience.
Is gone home kinda like dear Esther?
been subbed for so many years, love it :)
He is a freaking legend, when you think of hardcore you think of this man. He's going to buy both next gen consoles launch day... I mean hardcore

The text on his shirt is kind of the same font as Gone Home.
Ok dude you sold me on Mumrasa on the Vita, I am a Dragons Crown fan and have been considering this one for some time.
Which will be better Xbox One or PS4? (I.E. The biggest seller)
hey dude if you want to save money you could get the 2ds and pokemon x or y...alot of people think that there will be a bundle for the 2ds and pokemon near christmas so hopefully that helps..i know that i will definitely purchase the 2ds and pokemon.

Class of Heroes 2... still waiting for my copy to arrive! But since I'm not in the US, I have to wait a bit longer. ;)
Finally someone that can understand my thoughts on Time and Eternity!!
I know what you mean about Time and Eternity Pete, I actually tried the game at E3. It wasn't amazing but I didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. It seemed like it would probably get average reviews.

I was actually wondering today when Pete would have another video. Just my luck!
Is that an Ico t-shirt?
Pete loves an underdog game (regarding Time and Eternity)
Good to see you back Pete bee a sub for years.

I could have, but I could not wait any longer to play it, I had to open it :)
Nice to have you back Pete :-) Some great games !
Agree about Puppeteer. Such a great game that unfortunately won't get the attention it deserves.
Some gameplay video feed would be nice for each game.
I do what you said with alot of games play half way threw then give up and start a new game, for sure gonna finish pokemon x its real fun
I thought you said the downloadable title you purchased was Parodius, the Gladius parody by Hudson featuring Bomberman as a fly able ship. PETE, PETE, PETE....
RAYMAN LEGENDS?!
You love Rayman and this game really needs love D: I bought it for PS3 but it would make a great addition to your anemic Wii U collection
