      But the body couldn't have been dragged to the edge of the lake? The wind in the days following the disappearance may have dragged it right? I would look at the wind directions in that area in the last few days, I would also do a simulation of a body-like object, size and weight with a built-in locator, and the day after see how much he had moved, if that even happened to move

    As a life long duck hunter my heart goes out to the family. Every year we hunt very cold conditions and every year we discuss how we will either ditch(unstrap shoulder straps and swim out of the waders) or wear a wader belt in an attempt to float. We have practiced both of these skills in the summer in controlled conditions so we have real experience if the situation should arise. I suggest every cold water waterfowl hunter do the same. Things can happen fast and the more experience you have the better chance you have of surviving.

    • @omd6725
      @omd6725 Рік тому +11

      You, and your duck hunting friends are so smart for realizing the dangers you could face while out duck hunting. Then you do training drills on self rescue and rescue of others.
      I'm retired from the Army National Guard, and we were given "Safety Briefs" for all the hazardous training we had to do to stay proficient. My guard unit parachuted out of airplanes, and we did pre-jump before getting chutes on. This training included how to handle a malfunctioned parachute, on one of my jumps this training saved my life.
      Keep doing your training, and hopefully spread it around to other hunters.

    I could only imagine being a parent and having to go threw this. Much respect and genuine love to HeavyD and the crew for lending a helping hand and being there for those who are going threw a very tuff time right now. Its always emotional seeing these types of videos but it goes to show theres still good people on this earth when all we hear and see on the tv and a lot of the internet is just depressing and scary stuff.

    There was a boy that went missing in Wisconsin during the summer and still has not been found his name was Jacob Yoblonski some people believe he ran off to try and fulfill his dream of living off the land and surviving in the wilderness. They have found one campsite and that's it. I know the help from your crew would be greatly appreciated.
