Very well narrated but I’ll comment on the speed problem as well. The speed up and slow down within the same sentence is quite off putting. Can you do anything about that? It doesn’t sound like the narrator did it on purpose, more like a technical issue.
@@gatesofimagination So when I first listened I had earbuds in at bedtime and felt the speed change was very noticeable. Then relistening with my ipad speaker on a break at work to find the time stamps it wasn’t so obvious. So maybe it is actually the narrator and not technical? I really don’t know now. Here are a few spots I found in the time I had to sit with it. 12:40 14:55 16:15-16:30 17:16-17:24 18:56
I so appreciate this wonderful work and the reader was exceptional. Also as a Christian I so appreciated the author’s obvious great faith. bravo! And thank you for posting. ❤🙂⭐🌺🙏🏼
I can’t help but wonder why the author made the main character so dislikable. I found myself wanting to feel bad for her, but never could. Very weird choices by the author.
@@independentpatriot1775 reading your reaction i'm really worried now to listen... since i've got severe trauma (mother narcis) and i realised this way too late. i 'learned' why i was so ill & all that has happend thanks to good pple on yt who explain... maybe this lady did not realise 'life should not be like this'. altho, listening to it...i'm worried now. Much much grattitude to narrator and this yt channel.
Yes, I find it very distracting the way she emphasizes words that should simply be said in a normal voice. That and injecting excitement or a sense of foreboding into passages that have nothing to do with those feelings makes it difficult to follow the story.
The audiobook is based on the 1848 edition (known as the emended 1st edition). Essentially, it's the original text containing certain corrections made in accordance with Anne Bronte's wishes. It therefore includes all the fragments cut from the novel in Thomas Hodgson's 1854 edition and later ones (for example, the initial letter beginning with the words "To J. Halford, Esq")
Pleased to see that this includes all of Chapter 28 which is excluded -- save the first paragraph - from other audiobooks. I wonder why? Arthur is narcissistically jealous of the baby and won't even hold him.
Apparently those that don't like the book haven't stopped to comment. It has over 73 thousand "views" and only 61 comments and only just over 1 thousand likes. This book is not good, the characters are awful! The writing is annoying. Just listening to it bogs you down. Too bad too, I do like long books. I will agree with others too, the narration is not very professional but with practice she can get there, I assume it's the book that annoyed her and threw her off.

@@montanalilac Hey, could you point out some timestamps with problematic fragments? We'll try to take a look at this issue.
@@gatesofimagination I’d be happy to do so. I’ll let you know asap

Ohmygaaaaawd 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I'm adding this to my favorite books list 💜
I felt the suspense build with every chapter.
This book is so true, such genius, and beautifully written.
This story is crazy 😮 13 hours in!
What a treat! - Beautiful voice dear lady!
I find the readings pauses and inflections express feeling well.
Its amazing at her vocabulary and descriptive words for such a young girl
She was 28 when she wrote this book. 😊
A very good depiction of what it's like being married to a narcissist.

Thank you very much for making this available I enjoyed it very much :}
Thank you. Wonderfully presented.
I just love it. Thank-you!
There is definitely a problem with the speed.
Sometimes it races then at others it's so slow it's painful
Yes speed slightly varies about 2 hours in,
but quite pleasant narration otherwise.
I have on 1.25
My guess is it stops the video from being taken down. Dose anyone know?
Great, excellent, amazing, mind blowing, thank you so much for ur incredible ,outstanding efforts ❤👏🏻👏🏻
The Bronte Sisters were great writers and story tellers like all the stories but Anne is my favorite

Love the book. Inflections of the reader are so odd.

Hard to follow as the voice does not change from one character to the next.
I am sure this is wonderful but adverts every paragraph make listening impossible
I'm not experiencing that.
I listen on youtube Premium so no ads interruption.
Too many ads, I'm off.

Ooooh! Is this version the original version? That is, not the censored one?

Love the the narration. But way too many scam commercials.d
The story is great and the narrator has a good voice, however the strange intonations and speeds spoil it a bit.

Weird speeds and odd pausing and intonation. Sad as I wanted to listen but can't.
Bruh it’s free
Nothing less than perfection for you?
i just sped it up and it was better.

I think I like Charlotte Brontë writing much better.
Long lasting going over the same explanation throughout the book gets very boring
I love the story but do think it would be way better to have a males voice for male parts.
Taylor Karen Taylor Jose Perez Kevin
not worth continuing. Rudely interrupted by an appeal for funds by the Devil
