Are you looking to get into Infinity the game and are keen on Pan Oceania? In this video I give you 5 great reasons why you should consider playing the hyperpower nation Pan Oceania.
I joined pano after I picked up the game with Combined Army maybe two years ago. From what I’ve experienced I’ve loved every moment of the faction and sectorials. I feel like I have found a place that offers everything I wanted! Though my experience of the last campaign would tell a different story about them being super popular
I started with PanO (vanilla) back when N2 was still new. As time went on, I switched over to Neoterra, then added JSA, QK, which led me to Corregidor, and down the slippery-slide I went ...
Love Pano, it was the future knights that drew me in but I actually started by playing the Neoterran Capitaline sectorial (which has no knights lol) Would love to see you do a top 5 for them eventually. Love making my opponent play camo marker roulette with my hexas and Swiss guard with missile launcher lol that Swiss guard has won me the day in many a game. I think Bolts also got a bit of a buff in N4 that I've seen (or maybe it's just the de-stacking of rules i didn't pick up on before).
I got in via Panoceania, and aside from JSA I don't think I'll branch out. Between Kaldstrom and general support packs I can play White Co and Svalarheima, and one starter box put me in the land of Varuna.
Also, just shoot *EVERYTHING*!!! The firepower of the TAGs, the fact that three of the five sectorials can run two different TAGs, where we have our "mid-range" gunners that are stronger than the best gunners in other factions...
Hey Infinty Gamer.. i have a question for you about smoke grenades.. Actually i have alot if questions for u that are rules related, being that the rules book didnt translate well from Spanish to English.. Let me know if u have a Discord or some ither way for me to oist questions to u.. Thanks, Jason
Fan of Pan0 what can I say. I do think aesthetically they can be a bit generic sci fi/gundam (not so much the sectorial) especially when you contrast with something that's really thematic like the Blue Wolf Mongol Cavalry or almost any JSA unit
I can’t disagree with anyone that says the Blue Wolf looks cool. Varuna leans a little into a theme but MO really go hard. The normal Pan O could look a little generic but maybe that’s a good thing to appeal to lots of people?
@@the_infinitygamer They definitely provide the baseline for other factions to deviate from as well. Ariadna LI would not be as rugged and lotech without the Fusilier showing us what an optimal fit out is
The countries of PanO first came together I believe because YuJing became a SuperFaction and it the ones that joined PanO were getting worried that YuJing would come to them and get them to join and so to avoid this they formed their own faction to compete. They jumped past YuJing because they started looking at space exploration and were able to find a couple of habitable planets and YuJing realized their mistake and have been trying to catch up ever since.
The twin box of Tikbalang's isn't available any more. I emailed CB, hoping that they had a box gathering dust somewhere 😭 I'm trying to build a Shock Army using proxies. Dart, available Naga - hacker, available. Naga - hacker, available. Guarde De Assalto & Auxbot??? Tikbalang??? Bagh-Mari & Regular??? CB replied saying that a Boyg or a knight of the holy sepulcher has the same S6 silhouette or the new Shakush/Agamemnon for a proxy. The above proxies haven't got the same appeal as the discontinued twin box set 😲 Do you know of any good proxies for Shock Army???
The lack of Tikbalang sculpts is a real problem. I hope CB have plans to relaunch the existing design or launch a new one. Knight of the Holy Sepulchres and Boygs are S5 so won’t work if you’re after an S6. Is that what you’re in need of?
@@the_infinitygamer That's what the CB email told me, Koths & Boyg's are proxy for Tikbalang at S6. They have the Shakush & Agamemnon coming out but I'm not a fan of these models. I'm wondering if Kozmo would make a good Triphammer proxy for PanO. I don't know the silhouette size??? The Smoke & Mirrors box could then be good viable proxies. Inquisitor Mendoza = Father Officer Gabriel De Fersen (hacker). Murtair = Crockman (hacker) Táowù = Trauma Dr Kozmo = Triphammer. The Ltd edition Fullmetal Kozmo knight has a wizard friend on his shoulder which could be a Palbot 🤔 I must admit that CB make some gorgeous looking miniatures, so why not proxy 🤔
haha I played against 3 King Karhus recently. so obnoxious. I think I would want to play PanO because their vanilla has a pretty unique identity being able to take Joan. Vanilla are pretty cool and full of interesting cheap tools and also units that can easily shoot the lights out.
PanO = "Plot Armour" imo. I managed to circumvent my "No Yu Jing No Care" rule via White Company heuheuheu, it's a pity Ole John Hawkwood didn't manage to secure the contracts for some Dragoes or Cutters too :( Anyway, 玉京 #1!!!!
@@rfjohnson3042 thinking those below you as not being a danger, is the surest way to make them a real danger, expecially if one of your rivals is a culture who sees itself as destined to rule the HS and with the strength and cunning to try to do it.
Superior BS on almost every model is also a thing. In a game where firefights are the most common way of killing enemies, being the superior BS faction is important. Among those that you've mentioned, I like the fact that they have such a big choice of sectorials. When I was considering the (foolish) idea of playing one sectorial for each main HS faction (that is, the 5 nations, Aleph and O-12, no mercs), I had the most problems in choosing among the many interesting PanO sectorials. The fact that lore wise we are still lacking the Earth Bastion Army also means that the number of sectorials will probably increase 😅.
You're right, as a starting faction there are plenty of directions you can splinter off into as your play style develops and you can change over time with relative ease. I had to do some sleuthing on the earth-based sectorial idea and can't help but love the idea of a KOTHS, sectorial blend.
Panoceania is in terms of size guarantee is a hyperpower, but they got the problem of all big empire's. They got to fast to big. At the beginning they invented a lot of the new stuff, but they got fat and lazy. So the upper part of the Panoceanian live in good welfare, but the most people got pretty poor, so they can just join the army to escape. Yu Jing was from the beginning a hyperpower in economic and welfare things. So the most people (except the Japanese) are pretty happy there. For this reason I preferred from beginning Yu Jing over Panoceania. The Panoceania system is to close to the US system and got the exact same problems. To many radical Christians and to low education in the broad band of the population.
The Yu Jing storyline is so interesting with the JSA element. I love the idea of a breakaway faction and wonder if it’s time for Pan O to have a similar breakaway.
That’s why I love Panoceania. It’s dystopian in a benign and very familiar way. It’s basically just The West In Space with more capitalism and religious zealotry. It’s a believable future, insofar as a future with power armored Catholic knights can be believable.
I jumped in with Nomads and I recently purchased the Blackwind boxset with a friend. I have to say, the PanO stuff has always been a draw. I might have to look into the PanO faction box. I have long been tempted by the Templars
The knights in Military Orders are stunning. I’m also diving into Blackwind as we speak - Aleph and the myrmidons are a nice mix of space knights and Greek warrior!
I just received my blackwind box with all the extras (and a marut) yesterday. Aleph is going to be my second army, but I have to say, the Hassassins are so cool I'll probably collect them right alongside Aleph.
@@the_infinitygamer For me it's it doesn't matter which one. She was the deciding factor to chose PanOceania. She has always been my favorite historical figure. Honestly I can't chose which version I like best
The Teutonic Knights got me into Infinity and PanO. Currently considering Yu Jing and White Company as a secondary faction. I want to like JSA, but the models look pretty shit.
Same. As a german and huge fan of sci fi and medieval stuff it was a no brainer. They are like halo spartans mixed with the aesthetic of the old german knights templar order of teutons. I mean, how is anything supposed to top that????? But really, pano has just super fun and beautiful models. I love their balance between round and sleek and blocky chunky.
Pano is the best choice for using up all your command tokens re-rolling your Engineering to fix your TAG.
You know this to be fact. And this rerolls are on one attempt to regain a single STR too.
5 reasons to follow infinity gamer: he is not biased. Repeat 5 times. :P
😂😂😂😂 I love most factions equally
Look at the Karhu!!! I mean, CB has been dropping gorgeous models for all factions, but the Karhu are so badass.
So good!!! Almost made me reconsider diving into Morats.

😂😂😂 maybe we should start a support group for people that evolved from 10 models to 10 armies.
I'm really tempted to give a thumbs down... The biggest and the best is the Jade empire. Hahaha nah great video! 👏

I still live in fear of a Swiss miss even though I’ve never played against Neoterran. One day I’m going to suffer hard 😂
Can you recommend some resources on learning more about how to play military orders?
If you subscribe there will no doubt be a sectorial focus on MO in the not-too-distant future.
Not to worry about that, I've been a subscriber for weeks now.
Perfect! Then keep your eyes peeled as one should be heading to the channel soon.
I got in via Panoceania, and aside from JSA I don't think I'll branch out. Between Kaldstrom and general support packs I can play White Co and Svalarheima, and one starter box put me in the land of Varuna.
See! There’s a good spread of options under Pan O. I think I’ve played Varuna once and really liked it. Very different to MO, which is good.
#1: Joan of arc
#2: Joan of arc v2
#3-5: irrelevant
😂 so good
Also, just shoot *EVERYTHING*!!! The firepower of the TAGs, the fact that three of the five sectorials can run two different TAGs, where we have our "mid-range" gunners that are stronger than the best gunners in other factions...
