One thing about Seger...he sure knew how to rock and we loved him for that. Can't remember if you covered 'Still the Same' but that's always been another favorite. Keep em coming!!!
Agreed. I suggested Still the Same another time based on Jay’s love of piano. Those lower register chords will rattle a person in the most enjoysble way! Betty Lou here is a fun one too! I remember loving it when it came out. I only got to see Bob & SBB once (‘75) and it was long before Betty Lou or Still the Same.
Definitely Still the Same and I'm hoping they react to Roll Me Away... One of my all time favorites and it reminds me of my dad. Another rocking one for sure is Get Out of Denver, they'll both be chair dancing to that one!
My sister-in-law who’s now passed lived in Columbus, Ohio back in the day. Her then husband worked the venues where concerts were held. They went backstage and she had never heard of the band. She had beautiful long red hair to her waist. A guy asked if he could braid her hair. She looked at hubby and he immediately shook his head yes!!! So he braided her hair beautifully. The concert was going to start so she said thanks and by to him. Took her seat out front, and the man who had braided her hair was none other than Bob Segar himself!!!!
Dylan, Mellencamp, and Seger -- the holy trinity of midwest songwriters. Can't go wrong. Another uptempo tune from Seger is 'Feel Like a Number' and he does a great remake of an old blues tune called 'Trying to Live My Life Without You.'
Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band had one of the BEST sax players in rock and roll - Alto Reed. Truly a master at the saxophone who sadly passed away a couple years ago.
Hollywood nights is the song that got me into Bob Seeger. One of our greatest venues is the Hammersmith Apollo ( was the odeon ) and the manager in the 70’s/80’s, said the greatest band he’d ever seen at the venue was easily the silver bullet band!
Yes, excellent album from 1976 recorded in Muscle Shoals. My go-to on that LP is “Main Street”. Bob sings it in such a personal way because he lived it. It has such a haunting quality, I’ve heard it hundreds of times but appreciate it more every time and that’s the mark of an excellent songwriter.
Great reaction👍👍 I suggest you get a copy of Live Bullet and listen to the entire show. Seger and his band had something you can’t pick up on in single studio recordings. Don’t get me wrong, they are awesome, each one. But in the live performance you get to hear the band take the crowd on the rollercoaster from hard driving rock to slower ballads. The last couple of songs on the Live Bullet album are epic, the crowd is going absolutely insane.
@@O_Towne_Bear I like the Live Bullet idea. Amber and Jay would get a kick outta knowing Bob and the guys covered an Ike and Tina Turner song and really did 'em proud.
I love Bob Segar...He's one of my top 10 ever....So glad to see people jamming to this one....A great song but one I never expected to be recommended but well deserved.
Great song, off the "Against the Wind" album, which also featured "Fire Lake" and of course, the title track. Try "You'll Accomp'ny Me" and "The Horizontal Bop", which were also off that record, one of his best.
That rock-a-billy sound just wants you to get up and boogie, and I don't dance. LOL Bob and the boys know how to rock and how to do depth and everything in between. His Greatest Hits is a must for anyone's music appreciation library.
Another great Seger song is "Roll me Away". It's the kind of song you play in the car on a summer day with the windows rolled down. It takes you to a magical carefree place.
I was at a BS concert and when he played this song the crowd went CRAZY.... I was young and didn't really get it and... bought the album. Listened to the words. Saw Bob 3more times. Always Amazing..... still have the ticket stub...
"Night Moves" is a Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band song I first heard in the 1981 animated film American Pop. It's rated R and intended for adults. It's not dirty or anything, just not for kids. Try it on your movie reaction channel after you finish the Harry Potter series.
HI guys! Glad you dig Bob Seger, we went to the same High School in Ann Arbor Michigan. Give a listen to "Get out of Denver" from the Live Bullet album. Be sure to hang on to your seat!!!
This is all that…and, still gotta do his greatest (IMO) Night Moves! Y’all will love it😮❤ ps official video version please, which will blow your socks off 🙏
J & AMBER!!! It just hit me like a ton of bricks that what you absolutely must hear based on this and other reactions is the Foghat cover of the Chuck Berry song Maybelline from the very first Foghat album. It's got all of this and a little bit more, and the banging piano and the whole energy of it is just balls-to-the-wall intense and it's just good old-fashioned insane rock and roll energy. Plus it's got a great story incorporated as well about a car race out on the highway back in the day. You guys would absolutely love it. I promise I promise I promise. Please definitely do the studio cut and it is easy to find and I bet it's not likely to get blocked. You guys will freaking go nuts.
Did you ever react to his earliest hit, "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man"? Early stuff but one can picture the future energy and talent. My Aunt Bette Lou likes this one, though she's a bit up there now! Amber!! Oh that saxophone!Fine tune. Thanks! Rock and Roll!
Amber just making that chair rock hard, love it, lol. It would be great to see you guys suddenly get up and just start dancing around the room because it definitely has that energy. And this was the music of my high school years and yeah people definitely partied to this 💯.
Saw Bob 5 times live, an absolute favorite of mine since the late 70’s. So glad to see how his music is appreciated by a new generation. Bob is still loved by us old fans. He had a long break from touring then I was fortunate enough to see him again in 2011, and even though he had no new hits he sold out the day tickets went on sale. Try “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” because Bob proved that statement is accurate by his sold out shows despite his pushing 70.
Best sax player ever!! Every time he came to Boston,I was there for it. One of his best "Turn the Page" has one of the best sax solos I've ever experienced,Clarence Clemmons and,he would be on top of the speakers. Mind blowing!! Pls,pls, pls react to "Turn the Page". You won't regret it. :)
One of his best high-energy rockers Seger's ever written. Gotta love the keys and wicked horn section! Vintage Rock & Roll. Gotta react to "Makin' Thunderbirds" and "Shame On The Moon" of Seger classics.
Lots more to go with Seger... gotta check out HOLLYWOOD NIGHT, HER STRUT, COME TO POPPA and SHAME ON THE MOON to name a few. Absolute national gem! ty for coming back to Bob Seger y'all
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I have requested this song everytime you play Bob. Released in 1980 on the Against The Wind album. It took 6 weeks for this album to make it to the top of the charts, knocking Pink Floyd's The Wall out of Number 1. This song rocks your socks off. 🎶🎶 Bob's amazing raw vocals, the amazing sax, 🎷🎷, fantastic piano and every part of the instrumentation make this such a masterpiece. THANK YOU AGAIN. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
I'm gonna keep suggesting "NIGHT MOVES " AND "TURN THE PAGE ". I REALLY thought you would have played these two classic hits. They are 2 of Bob's very very BEST!!! NIGHT MOVES IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE OF HIS WORK...hope you guys get to it sooner than later.
Love Seger… so many hits. Fire lake, Hollywood nights, sunspot baby, rock and roll never forgets. Still the same, and his cover of if I were a carpenter. So many more.
Great song by Bob and the band. Hat tip to Alto Reed (RIP) for some great sax. Did you guys notice how much Jay was moving like Lionis (Charlie Brown fame) when he dances?
I just got out of the hospital from Congestive heart failure and this reaction made me forget and feel like nothing's wrong..Love Love Love you two so very much.
Thank for providing such appreciated content. Us older fans love watching younger generations appreciate the music we grew up listening to. After a long day I always look forward to seeing who you're going to react to, and I can't thank you enough for the job you all do. Thank you.
Good pick, here. Such a fun song from Seger, right? Lovin it. Keep em coming, guys. Watchin ya'll and lovin it again. Thank you. Stay cool. Catch ya next time round from your guy outta Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Walk with God. See ya. Peace.
It just makes me smile from ear to ear when I see you guys reacting to Bob Seger! Please keep it going. Love from Michigan
Rock and Roll Never Forgets by Bob Seger, that's the one you need to hear!
Jay &Amber, you'll love his "Night Moves", "Hollywood Nights", "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" !!!
-#cheers-- !-
I second all of those!
When I think of Seger, I think of Night Moves. 😍❤
How is it possible that they haven’t done Night Moves yet 😮
Hollywood Nights just plain rocks!
One thing about Seger...he sure knew how to rock and we loved him for that. Can't remember if you covered 'Still the Same' but that's always been another favorite. Keep em coming!!!
It was in an episode of an early to mid 80 's TV show Hardcastle and McCormack
@ric2097 remember the show. Do not remember a tie to the song.
@@carolmartin4413 yeah was a teen at the time...an old friend/ex shows up...been so long can't remember all the details , sorry..best wishes
Agreed. I suggested Still the Same another time based on Jay’s love of piano. Those lower register chords will rattle a person in the most enjoysble way! Betty Lou here is a fun one too! "Feel Like A Number" is a banger
Try “Get out of Denver” also another rocker buy Bob.
@@charliebrown3020 Get Out Of Denver is my favourite driving song.
You can’t leave out Springsteen 😎
@@unclephil7650 Not from the Midwest.
This is my favorite album from Bob Segar "Against the Wind" an absolute classic!
That’s a great album. Seger charted 5 of 10 songs from the album. “Betty Lou” was the “B” side to “You’ll Accompany Me” so did not chart.
@@straycatttt2766 That is actually my favorite song on that album!
You asked the perfect question...WHO DOESN'T LOVE BOB SEGER!!??
Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band had one of the BEST sax players in rock and roll - Alto Reed. Truly a master at the saxophone who sadly passed away a couple years ago.
...which is why he (Bob) decided to no longer tour. 😟
George Thorogoods original sax player Hank "Hurricane" Carter also passed ...sad
Alto was amazing, him and Clarence Clemmons from Springsteen are my 2 favorite
This is what Rock and Roll is all about!
Oh yea, Bob Seger is my favorite singer every song is fantastic ! I’ve personally never heard one song I didn’t like 💞
Ditto.
Yes!!! Hollywood Nights is a must! Can’t believe you guys haven’t hit that one yet!
Certified banger!!
Hollywood night is so true, and many a young naive lad has been there! His BEST!
Bet they'd like Horizontal Bop.
Hollywood nights is the song that got me into Bob Seeger. One of our greatest venues is the Hammersmith Apollo ( was the odeon ) and the manager in the 70’s/80’s, said the greatest band he’d ever seen at the venue was easily the silver bullet band!

“Night Moves” is still out there waiting for you guys……possibly his best

"Nine Tonight" is worth a listen too. Great live album, but then, it's Bob and the boys so...
@@O_Towne_Bear I like the Live Bullet idea. Amber and Jay would get a kick outta knowing Bob and the guys covered an Ike and Tina Turner song and really did 'em proud.
I agree. And I was sitting in Tier A at Cobo for one of those concerts. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band were special live.
I've never heard a bad Seger song...He's incredible!!!
One of the best bangers ever! Can’t go wrong with Bob Seger
Famous Final Scene please!
Come to Papa!! Awesome!!
He played this @ the concert i was at,and people were standing and dancing!!!!!

Impossible not to move to this song
Horizontal bop is a great song of his
"trying to live my life without you" and "old time rock n roll" are two other great songs by Bob seger.
Alto Reed is the perfect compliment to whatever Bob is doing. He is the perfect member of Silver Bullet.
"Hollywood Nights" drives like a train. Fist pumping, pedal to the metal rockin' tune.
I love Bob Segar...He's one of my top 10 ever....So glad to see people jamming to this one....A great song but one I never expected to be recommended but well deserved.

Another great reaction. You should definitely do “Roll Me Away” next.
Roll me away is such a great song but better yet, the lyrics are epic.
Awesome deep cut from Bob Seger. He likes to bring that old school rockin sound
You just can't go wrong with Seger!
That rock-a-billy sound just wants you to get up and boogie, and I don't dance. LOL Bob and the boys know how to rock and how to do depth and everything in between. His Greatest Hits is a must for anyone's music appreciation library.
So happy you reacted to this song! Can't help but move and dance to this. Pick a live song from NINE TONIGHT or LIVE BULLET! Bob Seger was great live
Seger is one of a kind.
“NIGHT MOVES “ by BOB SEGER is great!!
You’ll love the “guitar “ in it !! And of course his Rockin voice!!!
When I saw your reaction to Kathmandu, I knew you would love THIS one!!! Please react to his “Her Strut.” That’s fire too! 🔥
