Just bought a Mule SX yesterday Not the most impressive looking beast, but deadpan bullet proof reliability and time lapsed integrity and sustainability beats looks
These are the exact two machines I'm trying to decide between this week. I've looked at both and sat in both in person. There is no question the Mule is built WAY tougher. Boxed steel in places where other machines use tube. Steel skids where others use plastic. Steel bed floor where others use plastic. Heavier duty A-arms. Just a stronger machine front to back. Better engine. Better tires. Real doors. More leg/foot room. Three year warranty. I could go on all day. BUT....the price is $3,500 more. That's the only reason this is a choice to make. If the price was the same Mule all day every day. But the $75/month financed difference between the two machines certainly matters.
My parents bought the mule and I bought the uforce they regret it every single time we go out on the trails. The mule is built to work and that’s it it doesn’t even have a speedometer it has an hour meter only.. if you want a machine to just work around the yard then yes 100% mile but if your looking for a sxs to go on the trails and enjoy than the uforce is way better option.
@@deadly134 then they have a different mule, like a SX, or 4010 model, which is NOT a trail machine at all, the MX is the mid size PRO series and is a good trail rig, right with the U-Force. @deadly134 you are not referring to the Mule in the video. I am not sure why you made the comment . There are multiple models of Mules.I used to have a 610 which is now the SX. I used my old SX in our timber and would put the climbing ability against any machine. I am talking climbing only as the suspension travel is limited.
I know you said its 3 grand cheaper but you can look at as even more, you dont have to buy a roof, winch, or upgrade the tires on the CF-Moto which are basically must haves in my books.
I still own a 2008 Kawasaki Mule 4010. Other than general maintenance and wearable items not one issue. Just bought a 2023 Pro MX camo edition. My biggest concern with CFMOTO is their limited dealer network. My brother had a CForce 600 that was a lemon. Which was eventually bought back after 2 1/2 years of complaining. Plus trailering the unit over 120 miles one way to the closest CFMOTO dealership. Thats why I stuck with Kawasaki! Would love to see how that UFORCE 600 holds up in 15 years.....

I actually sold my Kawasaki Mule and went into a CF Moto U Force 600 Blue color, I am very sure of my choice, been a year and I don't regret it not one bit. CF Moto makes a hell of a machine, many options available to the UForce, it's quick, comfortable to ride, no issues or complaints. My guess is one day they will price themselves out like the others but hope not.

@@ronnob2470 I'm from Canada too and can backup what ronrob said above. My brother got me into CF Moto when he bought his Zforce 800. (It's like 6 or 7 years old now, and being a crotchety old bastard he hasn't complained once about his SXS requiring repairs.) His also came with blinkers and reverse lights so you can safely drive it on the roads for short distances. I thought all CF Motos came with that. I'm glad you mentioned the drive by wire throttle and good engine braking. That is some interesting information that I hadn't heard before. I'm curious about gas mileage. How hard are these two machines on gas (MPG)? Gas is hella expensive now in Canada!!! As for my verdict, one looks like an entry base model and the other looks like a cadillac in comparison. Aesthetically, the CF Moto looks modern, aggressive and kinda sporty, while the Kawasaki looks like it was designed based on a 20 year old JD gator type of farm vehicle. The price is the real head scratcher... how is the clear winner over $3000 cheaper? It sure isn't due to reliability!
Great video!!! The CFMOTO seems like a very well thought out machine. Im going to go look at both Tuesday. The dealerships have both in stock, in the 2023 model year. I would have never considered a Chinese machine before, but this is not your tractor supply version.
My buddy has the Kawasaki with the steel inner Wells and it does drive you crazy when you're on hard pack all you hear is rocks pinging off it. I guess it could offer a little more safety but it's very noticeable that they're there.
Is the Kawasaki a lot more reliable for the extra money? What kind of maximum mileage are you seeing from both brands? You sell both, so your opinion on that would be interesting.
Honestly both have lived up to whatever the owners are throwing at them. We do sell way more of the U-Force as a whole, but, to be honest, have done warranty jobs on the mules, and only 1 warranty claim to date on the U-Force, the mule came out in 2019 and the U-Force came out in 2022. As for average services and such, TBH, we have replaced more belts on the MX than the U-Force, driver education plays a part, but something about the MX clutches are just not getting the miles like other Kawasaki wet clutches, 3-4k per broken belt. The UF on average has a wide range based on driver, from a few hundred miles to the highest we seen so far was about 7k on the original belt, an average of 4-6k. More U-Force models are being used as recreational as well as work/hunting. All in all we have sold a total f about 20 MXs since 2019, and we do about 20 a year on the UF. The mid size units are no where as popular as the big 4 and 6 seaters. We have begged Kawi for years to make a 4 seat MX just like the FXT, but nope, that would be a good seller, same for the UF, but if I was CF-MOTO I would make a uF 800 4 seat to have more than enough power, they have a great 800 V Twin n the Z-Force 800.
It is pretty snazzy! A better comparison unit of the mule would be the SE, with metallic paint, a top and a winch, but it is FAR more expensive with a $1,400 price gain over the BASE MX shown.

After 3 Kawasaki mules, I have discovered that I hate the metal beds. Very heavy to dump, and the vibration noise is horrible. Plastic bed will hold up to almost anything you want to haul, and are very quite..
You are right, they build the material very durable and it is lighter, but that steel bed sure is durable. You can easily line the underside with a sound deaden/heat shield on the mules and have 0 metallic sound, AND the bed will be cool for loads or animals. We have done this for hunters up here with metal dog boxes.
I did i bit of research on the cfmotto 600 & the mule also i had looked after a couple of polaris rangers & i came to the conclusion that the cfmoto was the way to go so i,m picking up my new cfmoto 600 in 2 days.
Today, the name just doesn't mean he same, yes youre buying Kawasaki, but il go with where my money goes further. I don't want to buy all those extras. Also fun. The moto is probably more fun to drive. Kawasaki is falling behind in styling.sure they got reliability but i don't think that's enough today.
Had a Kawasaki mule pro MX 2021 model it was horrible machine it has been in shop about as much as I've owned it . Then i traded it for a Kawasaki mule pro FXR a 2023 model and it was nothing but problems also . now i have a can am defender it is a wonderful machine
No comparison, the Kawasaki wins hands down. The quality is so much better, the machine is so much more refined. One is an entry level machine for light duty, the other is a professional unit used by professionals. Good video
Both are great machines, I am die hard Kawasaki...but... to be blunt honest, I would by the U-Force 600, then add in a set of our Hester Edition Elka shocks (we make them for the mule too), 28" tires, an RNG clutch kit, and a SATV flip windshield and some tunes... then would be about the same price of the Mule with nothing on it. I like both units, but that U-Force is a NICE ride! But when it's a customer's money, I only present the facts of the 2, let them drive both, let them pick what they want.

They have been in business since 1989, we can get parts for 10-15 year Olds right now, and they have grown in leaps and bounds. Now granted, we do see back orders with pretty much any OEM now. So I would not see any issues in the future. (We always hope!)
Definitely not true. Their dealer and parts network in North America is huge. Big CFMoto aftermarket online also. They’re the biggest UTV brand in Europe, so they definitely have figured out the global supply chain.
CF moto is made in China. It could be 5k dollars difference with Kawasaki but he cant compete unless you don't have the budget. Made in china vs made in japan reliable, lasts way longer. Not even close
The Kawasaki Mule MX is made by Kymco in Taiwan, the CF-Moto Is made in Mexico on the same street as Polaris and Can Am. Also Kawasaki moved the side by side and ATV plant to Mexico. Hope that helps.

No Kymco makes the MX Mule (Taiwan). CFMoto has been around for years (since 1989), a very good brand and growing wicked fast in popularity, and the amount of dealers scattering all over North America. Dollar for dollar the CFMoto is undeniable in value for money, and at the end of the day, the more something cost, the faster it depreciates. Over 5 years the mule will still sell for more because it cost a lot more, BUT, the CFMoto would have lost less $ in value as a whole. Also, you can't take trade values into count, as not all dealers are fair, and most now adays are like a car dealer (probably owned by a car dealership) and make you loose your rear on trade, and sell for full value, no matter the brand. PS. A dealer can make more profit on a pre-owned unit, then a bran new one, dealers do not rake it in on new, UNLESS they charge an inflated set of fees over that what the manufacture charges.
I will buy the Kawasaki over the CF Moto every single time because CF Moto is made in China and they have always made cheap crap. Kawasaki is a Japan company and a lot of their stuff is made right here in the US. Get away from the crap made in China.
CFMOTO's lant is in Mexico now, right down the street from Can Am and Polaris. Kawasaki is moving production to the Mexico plant for everything 24+ now.
Only for some vehicles but not all, the MX will still be made in Taiwan, only some ATV and some SXS will be made there (with Kawasaki that is). And yes CFMoto is now pumping out several units from Mexico now, and correct LITERALLY down the street from Can Am and Polaris lol.
I remember when Polaris came out everyone said the same thing about them. CFMOTO has the same engine as can am, I just bought a oil filter adapter for a can am and put it on my cfmoto uforce, I know someone that bought a set of cams for a can am and put them in his cfmoto uforce.

Apply spray bed liner on metal wheel well to dampen noise.
I took them off my Teryx and had bedliner applied. Noise gone. Simple fix. The above comment is correct.

You are correct! They have 26" tires on the 23+ U-Force 600's I did fail to say that, 22's had the 25's.

What a lot of customers battle with these days, the CFMoto's are quite reliable as well! You can't go wrong either way really.

You'll be able to get parts for the Kawasaki 10 years from now, the cf-moto, not so much.

This is like compairing a 3500 mini dump pickup to a ford raptor… then being like, the raptor is cheaper! No… different purpose.
