I love your channel and i don't even read YA or fantasy romance, etc. Entertaining, interesting, good editing. And you're all very likeable. Most underrated channel on booktube!
I'm just listening this guys, and you are so funny! Btw the only volunteers were for the dragon's rider cuadrant, Violet says in the first chapter, I think, when she was still with Mira waiting for everyone to go to their quadrants that they were conscripted, the ones who didn't past the test go to infantry without option and she says they're usually fodder in the war
Okay, so. I personally did not care for Fourth Wing. But I'm not here to spoil anyone's entertainment. I just wanted to say that I appreciate you sharing your opinions unabashedly, not denying that there are imperfections or setting it on a pedestal, even though you clearly loved the time you spent with it.
i love your channel so much! i dont even into books to be honest (i read really rearly and definitely not into this ya craze in any way) but the way u all talking about those books is so funny and interesting! please keep it up, this is really intertaining!
I finally could watch it 🥳 you are extremely funny, I enjoyed it a lot 😁 Like the Rorth wing, a little less but liked a second one, hope the next one will be good
Thank you for saying you liked this book! I did too! It wasn't perfect, and it had issues. But I wasn't bored reading it. All the other readers are saying it's bad and problematic. I was starting to question myself as a reader. 🥰
ahh so excited for this vid && omg I have to agree w carlos - i HATED the "violence" nickname >< Edit: finally finished! this ep was so funny, i did like fourth wing, but I gotta agree w carlos, did find it a tad mid. im really thinking the next book will be a lot better
Amazing as always guys! This episode I laughed the most :') I see this book everywhere and you're the only ones that are gonna actually convince me to read it xD
I LOVE YOU GUYS favorite episode so far, y'all had me dying at work!!!! i think i would agree that it's a romantasy, it was just slow burn lol also when rose reading those quotes i felt that, i love xaden so muchhh
I will be honest, I went into this expecting to outright hate it. That was based off of the premise. The premise is a general's fragile bookwormy daughter is forced into a death college. All you needed was fragile or death college. Overall however, I wasn't into the romance, the world doesn't make sense, (the venin and all), and some of the things doesn't work like what she thinks ( Need to know isn't the same as classified. The dragon riders need to know what they are really fighting.) 3/5 when I ignore the really anachronistic language. Edit: I didn't mind Dain in the beginning. That kind of trying to circumvent the rules to protect her. However, this changes MASSIVELY when she bonds two dragons. If she is physically weak and the dragons tell you nature likes balance, the only conclusion is she is a magical powerhouse. I loved Mira's answer to the problems Violet was going to have.
All them agreeing that is was a slow burn romance threw me off because I felt like it was going super fast considering this series is gonna be like 5 or 6 books lmao
Should I read this book??? Oh my God, I've heard so much about it, mostly all bad things. But fantasy and romance are two genres I love, so maybe? If anything I'd be able to form my own opinion 😆
Honestly I dont think I'll ever find a half decent fantasy book out of booktok, man. Nevermind romance, most people don't like those anyway, but fantasy feels more like a filler genre for these books because its just the setting for the couple and nothing more If you introduce a school where dragons come and occasionally kill people for being out of line and rude, I want that reverence for dragons. The fact they're seen as an endgoal and a trophy is so weird to me, and it only reinforces the idea that Yarros wrote the dragons as war machines rather than super powerful beings that should be treated with respect. Also yeah, I hated it. Not because of the portrayal of dragons, but its mainly the characters. How unfair Violet is to Dane, how weird she acts around Xaden as if she *knows* this is supposed to be a rushed enemies to lovers, how she always laments having a disability despite it not having much of a hindrance on her, and how no one mentioned the shift in her behavior after bonding to a dragon. That last part especially pissed me off, because she went from "UwU im just a lil thing plz dont hurt me" to "I will tear off your dick and make you sound yourself" after the chapter passed and its not even an afterthought. If I were to rewrite any part in specific, its the character arc. I want to lean into her superiority complex because its very obvious that it made her change, but I want her to be self aware about it, I want Dane to actually argue with her about it, I want Xaden to maybe be a genuine threat to her because she keeps screwing up while leaving herself with less and less excuses.
Hey, I would love an 'origin story' ep of how you guys all meet and become friends.
Hmmm… noted 👀

"I think book two is going to be a romantasy." 😂😂😂 It's really fun to watch Fourth Wing videos now that Iron Flame has been released.
Should have had the clown makeup ready, honestly. Feeling a little foolish over here!!!!
