A kilo bag of MaxiGro nutrient power is the most economical and easiest to mix. Just add one to two of the small scoops per gallon of water and add as needed. It can grow hundreds of lettuce plants, etc. I just got a cheap 22 variety Lettuce & Salad Greens package. It`s far cheaper than buying separate and has some interesting seeds I`ve never grown. I also just started some Watercress seeds after reading about its superfood status. Now that I know what it is I`m gonna go look in the nearby creek and see if I can get a wild sample to raise for food. You can easily grow it from the store too. Folgers Instant containers are a perfect fit for 3 inch net cups. Just put expanded clay pebbles in them and put them beside your garden. Basil if kept trimmed does great in them and so do green onions from the store for a steady supply of green tops. So does mint and the Watercress. I like the Coz mini Romaine lettuce because of the crunchy stems but now I have a huge variety to try.
I just received mine. I chose the one I ordered because the light extends to 20 inches. I have Arugula growing in soil and plan to rinse the roots and transplant them directly into the empty baskets then crimp foil around the top and stem to hold them in place as roots develop to save the sponges for lettuce and other things that don`t transplant well. Spinach and Cilantro etc can be difficult to sprout in the sponges and I`ve wasted a lot of them so I developed the less expensive transplant method. It`s a money saver for those who can`t get really afford replacements for 12 or more growers like me who are low income and growing in this to have extra fresh foods. Have you tried the micro dwarf Pinocchio or Birdie Rouge tomatoes? Tiny Tim tomatoes were too big for my gardens.
I think all tomatoes are too big of plants for this setup. They go grow like crazy in the back yard though. Looking forward to setting it up again for this winter.
Most of the micro dwarf tomato varieties stay well under 12 inches tall supposedly. I`m about to find out, I have seedlings of an 8 inch type ready to transplant in hopes of having tomatoes by late January.I was sold fakes several times and outside they grew 15 ft vines in hydro buckets I made. I was planning to take cuttings to clone. I let them grow but it was a problem keeping enough water for them and I won`t try that again deliberately at least.@@ViratPatelYT
I feel silly, bc I was in the midst of setting up this system & I could not figure out where the plug in for the adapter was on the system - thanks for the video!
I had my plugged in before I added the water and then I moved it when it was full and unplugged it. How do use a needle nose and another person to plug it back in😞
I'm glad for your instructions. I don't understand the water pump. It starts runs for a bit then nothing. Shuts down. I purposely watch it,and all of the night it's off. This is the second one I've had. It's not consistent at all. Any advise?
Put a USB fan blowing on it. Get a power strip with USB ports. This will extend the life of the lights and make your plants healthier. They need a breeze to breathe and process nutrients effectively.
Thanks for the video, but the plant food comes in form of pellets, I'm confused as to how much water add to each bottle (A & B), th e instruction in the back of the bottle are confusing.
I start seeds in potting soil and rinse the roots when they get about 2 inches tall, then put them in the empty basket, then carefully crimp foil around the basket and stem to secure seedlings until roots anchor them and to keep out light. It works and saves money on sponges. Rock wool can be used too for starting seeds.
Make sure the power adapter is pushed in all the way on the bottom of the kit. Not sure what else it could be? Maybe a bad pump? Maybe manufacture can send you a new kit?
Thanks for your video. My plants have been growing well for about 6 weeks. The pump was very quiet, and I think it had an off-on cycle. I cleaned out the reservoir yesterday, and when I plugged it in again, the pump started running continuously, and louder than it had before. Is this normal? Is there a way to reset the pump timer?
@@ViratPatelYT Thanks for getting back to me. I think possibly the water level was too low, because when I added more, it is quiet again. I can't tell if it is running continuously anymore.
Did you tomatoes grow? I want to buy one and put Roma and other Plants to start in there and take out to garden. You think everything is ok to put in there?
Only grow MICRO dwarf tomatoes. Try Birdie Rouge and Pinocchio or other mini varieties. If you want to grow big tomatoes you`ll need a 5 gallon bucket and very bright light.
Only grow micro dwarf tomatoes and if you grow peppers you will have to trim them to keep them small. These are great for leafy greens and tiny (under 15 inch) plants. They do have a type of mini Jalapeno pepper too. Just study about it. Don`t do what I did...CUCUMBERS! LOL! It`s worse than KUDZU!
Bought same unit and watched your vid to make sure I was setting up correctly. Nice video.
Very easy to set up instructions. Thank for taking the time to explain slowly and clear 😊
Thanks for the video. Just used it to set mine up. Also, nutrient "A" took like 20 minutes and "B" was only 3 minutes for me. Weird.
Same- I though it wasn’t going to dissolve for a second

Very great video! I've just purchased the same grow-system. How has it held up for you & how did the plants grow?
It’s working really well. Haven’t had to buy lettuce or arugula or cilantro in the past few months.
All my cannabis is doing verry well this system kicks A$$
Is this sufficient to grow cannabis until mature?
Great video, thanks for the good tutorial 🎉
I feel silly, bc I was in the midst of setting up this system & I could not figure out where the plug in for the adapter was on the system - thanks for the video!
The instructions they give you don't show it and it isn't easy to see even when you know where it is. Wouldn't feel silly at all
I had my plugged in before I added the water and then I moved it when it was full and unplugged it. How do use a needle nose and another person to plug it back in😞

That’s bizarre. As long as my pump light is on, it’s on for 30min off for 30min.
nice video. Would you mind explaining the process to mixing the nutrients to the 4 L of water? TiA.
Thanks for the vid! You should do a follow up video.🎉😊
Very helpful video!
Thanks for the video, I was wondering if the lights are supposed to be hot?
They get a little warm, but not hot
Put a USB fan blowing on it. Get a power strip with USB ports. This will extend the life of the lights and make your plants healthier. They need a breeze to breathe and process nutrients effectively.
i just ordered mine! excited. not going to use all pods, so 4 peppers can spread out.
Hi, thanks for the video!
The pump should be operated continuously?
No, it stays on for 30 minutes every hour.
Thanks for the video, but the plant food comes in form of pellets, I'm confused as to how much water add to each bottle (A & B), th e instruction in the back of the bottle are confusing.
Add enough water to fill the whole bottle. It doesn’t matter if it’s a few mL more or less
Once you use the seed pods are they reusable or do you have to rebuy
Unfortunately you have to rebuy
@ViratPatelYT where do we rebuy the pods?

So I got it all set up thanks to you but my pump will not turn on. Any advice?
Make sure the power adapter is pushed in all the way on the bottom of the kit. Not sure what else it could be? Maybe a bad pump? Maybe manufacture can send you a new kit?

The pump should only run 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off. I’m not sure how to reset it.
@@ViratPatelYT Thanks for getting back to me. I think possibly the water level was too low, because when I added more, it is quiet again. I can't tell if it is running continuously anymore.
How do you clean it. I cant find a manual
Can Spinach seeds be soaked in water a day before and then put in the Hydroponics ? Thank you
Yes
Thank you!!
Hello! The water button flashes all the time and you can't feel the water motor
Did you tomatoes grow? I want to buy one and put Roma and other Plants to start in there and take out to garden. You think everything is ok to put in there?
Yes everything grew really well. Tomatoes got really large fast in the system.
Only grow MICRO dwarf tomatoes. Try Birdie Rouge and Pinocchio or other mini varieties. If you want to grow big tomatoes you`ll need a 5 gallon bucket and very bright light.
Can you use any kind of seeds?
Yes any seeds

Mine has no power, no lights, no pump
Is it plugged in at the bottom? Maybe it came undone.
