I just discovered your channel and am enjoying your videos. Gotta say, the only think better than a grand bike adventure is being able do that grand adventure with the one you love. You both have a wonderful outlook on everything good and bad. Not a bad way to go through life. Julianna is quite the trooper and a wonderful cycling partner. You did well Roland!! 🙂
Wow….what a beautiful and intense video. Found your channel recently and try to watch an episode each day. They bring absolute joy and peace to the day. Seeing the scenery and then seeing Roslyn here…… Northern Exposure was the finest series ever put on television with its simplistic beauty and character development. Then the shattering news of the loss of your brother. Sincerest condolences. You folks seem like friends after watching your videos and we can all feel your pain. Thanks for bringing some peace and joy into so many lives. I am anticipating/planning the cross country rail trip on my recumbent trike asap. I’m 70 and in great shape so I better get it done soon!
That's amazing! I'd love to hear how it all goes. It's true you can ride for many years, but as we all get older procrastination isn't an option. Thanks for watching and enjoying, and for the condolences. Happy trails!
@@TheBicycleTourists … I am anticipating doing it either spring/summer next year or summer /fall east to west. I think I have a potential partner. Will see how that works out. My other option is driving up to Canada( I live in New England) and riding Prince Edward Island and then a Nova Scotia tour working in a combined golf tour. Will fill folks in as it gets planned.
Sounds like a couple of good plans. Bear in mind you're more typically riding into the wind east to west, but you probably already knew that. PEI / Nova Scotia is way up there on my bucket list. Best of luck!
@@TheBicycleTourists PEI and Nova Scotia will tie in nicely with my other love…. Golf. Have been unable to go to Canada the last few seasons due to Covid and now it is open. It’s a nice drive from where I live on Cape Cod so I can coordinate it now for next summer! I watch an episode or two daily of your journey! It is fabulous!
You guys are adorable. I am on the Cascades segment, but see that you lost your brother, so sorry. Your videos are good research as I prepare for the eastern half of the Trans Am next year in terms of bikepacking. Well done to both of you.
@@TheBicycleTourists you are quite welcome and yes, your videos let me know that it's ok to struggle and then get back on track during a long long ride. I'm on Part 4, looking forward to the rest of the segments!
That was a beautiful homage to Uncle Fred. The way you put receiving the news into the video with the phone call and message was pretty intense. I am still ugly crying. Love you Uncle Fred.
So sorry for your loss. I just discovered your channel this evening and have been binge watching your trip and really enjoying it. Losing a brother is hard, hang in there.😢
Thank you. It's a hard one. We had just lost a sister as well, less than two years before Fred. And we were a very tight group of siblings. Appreciate the kind words.
I'm so sorry about your brother. I did want to ask, are you still in the process of uploading the videos? I don't seem to find #5. Thanks. I've been enjoying them.
I'm so sorry for your loss of your brother Roland. What a beautiful tribute.
Thank you riverbliss. He was such a special man.
So inspirational, thank you. Life is so precious and beautiful- and temporary
If we lived forever it wouldn't be so precious. We have to enjoy it while we can.
Deepest belated condolences to you Roland and your family. Grief is the greatest of challenges
Thank you. It was a tough one to deal with.

Oh, I know it! I met and fell in love with Julianna on a ride up Lookout Mountain here near Denver. So lucky to have found her!
Great video series. Sorry to hear the sad news. Am looking fwd to following along with you guys across the country!
Thanks, Goodkat! I appreciate your following, and also the condolences.

So glad you're enjoying. How is that area of Canada in high summer? Hot? Humid? or pleasant?
Our sincere condolences for you and your family. 🙏
Thank you Jim.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts.
The nice lady who made the Silent Bob reference... awesome!
She was a cutie.
Difficult news especially during your trip. 😢 RIP. He’s always just a thought away. 💜
Yeah, that was a blow. He was such a colorful man. And so loved.
Thank you Linda, it was a tough time for us both.

It’s exactly how we found out. Putting this together really helped me process the grief. (I ugly cry every time I watch it).
My sincerest condolences. I too unexpectedly lost my big brother 3 mos. after you did. It is difficult to bear.
I'm so sorry to hear. I've had my share of loss. It doesn't get any easier.

Thank you. Yes, we release a new one every Friday. Pacing them out gives me a chance to edit them. So, yeah, lots more to come! Thanks for watching!
@@TheBicycleTourists Thank you, I'll watch for it!
Sorry for your loss. The dreaded "it's important" phone call. They are never to tell you that you just won the lottery.
Thanks Eddy
