Thank you. I do not have diabetes (or high blood pressure)..............but I am 47 and I bought this kit and the BP kit to keep a log. My wife and I are trying to stay as active as can (knock off every now and then with a beer or two usually just drink red wine) Thanks for the video.
Thank you. This is really an informative video. Since my ReliOn is giving me readings all over the place I will wipe that first blood off and squeeze my finger for more blood. But since I've been so unhappy with ReliOn products in general from Walmart I will go to CVS and get one of these monitors TODAY.
Good value. I would like to see a video on CGM’s and hear discussion regarding interstitial glucose readings (they lag!), vs. traditional glucometers. Because, timing is so important when dosing insulin.
Pharmacist Tips Perhaps also talk about using an insulin pump vs insulin pens. Other than always having insulin (on you), I don’t understand the benefit to wearing a pump.
Where can I buy the kind of lancet that you are using (the kind that comes with CVS Advance Glucose Monitor? CVS Replacement lancets don’t look like these. I like the pull off clear plastic ones that it came with.
Just diagnosed and went to get the one the doctor ordered. The meter and a few lancets cost 20. BUT the test strips were 170. for 100 strips. Went back to CVS bought their brand without medicare and supplement cost was 38.00 for everything. ON SALE!!!! Would like to know how to set up the meter for date time and memory.
I used FreeStlye Lite now but strips cost prohibitive! MY QUESTION for you is HOW much time does strip loaded in Meter give me ? FreeStyle Lite give me plenty of time to get it right. Do you understand my question ?
You’re also supposed to wash your hands with warm water and dry them beforehand (no pun intended). The warm water will help bring blood flow to your hands.
Its day two diabetes for me. I can't get the depth right. If I push in all the way it's way too far in. I think that the lanclets should have a mark. I might end up just using the lanclets with no device. What's the clear device cap for? Help
I purchased one today. I have not used it yet, but turned it on and it does not turn off, not after 3 minutes or if I hold down the center button. 00000s on the top. I saw similar complaints about it not turning off on other forums.
It is recommended you change the lancet each time. Here is a video showing a similar device and how to change the lancet. ua-cam.com/video/yQT2mpyREws/v-deo.html
My meter doesn't prompt me for anything. I can flip through the various setting options on the screen all day. But when I put a strip into the bottom of the meter it shuts off. There's no drop on the screen. No prompt to fill. Nothing. The one in your video prompts to fill the strip as soon as you put the strip in. What am I doing wrong?
How do you turn the thing on -how do you turn it off? More importantly, just bought this meter, and the box did NOT have the lancet device in it. What happened? Should I take it back or is this how it is now?
I am doing everything you just did and all I get is a fill sign. my meter keeps saying fill even after I put my blood on the strip the heart keeps blinking of course nobody is answering the phone at your end
Call the number on the back of the meter and ask them to send you some control solution(it is no charge). You can use the control solution to test the accuracy of your meter and strips. I just ordered some myself and will publish a demonstration video when I receive it.
@@PharmacistTips Thanks for that information, I called and they will be sending it out. Their number is 800 895 2430, the print is very small, make sure to give them the S/N # located on the top of the box, when you call
It is recommended you only use it once, however,I have had people report they use it more than one time. The lancet (needle) will become dull and potential more painful if you reuse it. Plus, there is risk for infection.
I use the needle to my meter three times I wash it under the hot water than spray it with 100% Alcohol.. There is no blood on the needle because u usually have to squeeze the blood out.
According to the manual: Error 4 "The meter was unable to produce a result or unusual test strip problems have occurred that may relate to extreme conditions." It may be caused by extremely high blood sugar or when the meter and test strips are not at room temperature.

Do we need to set it’s timing for fasting test or could that be checked randomly?
How to remove the used lancet
It’s not coming if I pull
Is there any release button in this model
I've been using this for a while but now it is stuck on the settings and i can't get it back to being able to take a test.
Very helpful, THANK YOU☺

Do you take the clear strip on the battery in the back
What do the normal and high ranges on the test strip bottle actually mean? Is that the margin of error?

Doesn't work consistently... I am following instructions to the T.... It works about 30% of the time..... Wasting so many test strips.
I bought 3 of them. Works 10% of the time. Just pure junk
I ran out of lancets not sure which ones to refill with to buy more?
Do they sell this in a actual kit or you have to buy each item separately?
strips are sold separately from the machine.
Thanks ❤
Does that meter test strips need coded or are they all the the same?
No coding required.
How do you calibrate it?
PERFECT

Mine is doing the same thing as yours, not prompting me to do anything. How did you remedy this?
Bought this exact kit however it does not read even after putting blood on strip it shows the blood drop sign and thats it. Is mine defective?
May want to double check your technique, don't apply the blood to the strip, the blood gets drawn into the the end of the strip by wicking action.
How do I set the time and date on this meter?

What does error 3 mean?
Can you get an average with this meter?
How do you get the mM reading for ketone levels?
This meter only measures glucose, not ketones.
My screen won't go past fill after I put a pretty big drop of blood.
What happens if when I put the strip the machine tells me setup?
Can't seem to find replacement lancets, even @ CVS website
Same
My meter is not going to the regular setting that acknowleges the test strip...help!
