I stopped buying fragrances a few months ago, after collecting 52 fragrances in about a year since I started. I’m proud of myself that I can still watch fragrance content without buying something, cause I know not everyone can do that 😄 One day I will continue to collect fragrances, but carefully, cause I don’t want to end up like Dallas😅✌️
I think it is easier for him to get all of these fragrances because this is his job and having them creates content and therefore generates income; and some might be even sent to him for free. Maybe you could charge people for testing the ones you got 😁😁
I did similar. Probably over 60 in a two year period. I started giving away a bunch of the cheapies to my guys at work. Some are definitely more suited to those 20 year olds more than this 30 year old.
It takes effort to stop buying, and I commend you for doing that. That's a pretty good size. You should probably start buying decants if you haven't already to keep the hobby alive. There's some interesting stuff out there to try
My daughter brought it to my attention when I had 47 fragrances on my dresser. So I bought a little floating corner shelf, only big enough to hold about 6 bottles on 5 shelves comfortably. So now I put a cap on myself to about 30, trying to work it down to 24. I gave some to my daughter, left 2 bottles at work, gifted a few and use 2 as my home fragrance spray for the curtains
I have 47 fragrances (I have backup bottles for three of those, so 50 bottles) and it's honestly too much. I'll never get through them all. Hope my kids enjoy them.
I remember your older vintage outside videos, with your background music that I actually liked, before you reformulated inside lol. You've really grown into your own style Dallas👍
I went to Marshalls, and I bought 4 Contras which are clones of Givenchy Gentleman EDP, PDM Layton, PDM Pegasus, and Armani Stronger with you. All four for $60. That right there scratched my itch for the next four months of colder weather. They are so close to the original ones including the quality that I can now, wait until Black Friday to see if there is a deal to be had. I will not blindly buy anything either. I go to my local Macys or Ulta and that is where I get to try stuff. I even got my wife a clone of FLowerbomb and Prada Paradoxe and she could not believe how close and how good they are.
I don’t have a really big cologne collection but I feel like do you really need more than 10 really solid fragrances? I feel like u need a few fresh smells, a few iris, a few manly scents, and a few special occasion scents
0:53 Exactly. I had to break my addiction for this reason. It's gets to the point where the collection starts to get diluted every time you buy a new fragrance. There's only so much we can actually wear. Tomorrow it'll be one month since my last purchase. I proud of myself. LOL
Definitely worth buying. I bought two bottles as it will eventually be discontinued. I love the scent! Way different than the rest of the Eros line. Hence me buying two bottles. Once it's gone, it's gone.
ADG Profumo smells better than Parfum because they added a green note that is not very nice, same with Cedrat Boise, the intense version has oud that smells like smoke, the original is fresher for summer. Le male Elixir smells a tad better than Le Parfum, but the latter is just so good...
I fortunately wear the most of my 50 fragrances regularly, I consider my collection fairly complete, all situations/season/weather covered.. Most fun for me is in the watching, sampling, testing, longing fase, so I started exploring unisex/female scents for my girl to scratch that itch..
Yea that’s where I’m at too I’ve felt more or less complete for about 1.5 years now and buying has slowed way down. I only buy things I really love or want now

Here's a question I've often wanted to ask massive fragrance collectors - you can't possibly use them all, so eventually, don't some of those frags go 'bad'? I've always been a little confused whether colognes improve with age as they masticate, or if the opposite is true and a fragrance goes bad. Because I've heard both. That would be my biggest worry if I had an enormous collection.
If they are stored properly, they should be fine. Based on conversations over the years, seems most people keep their fragrances in bathrooms with showers. Some throw them in their cars. If you do those things, sure they'll eventually go bad. Ironically, the people who do those things likely only have a couple fragrances at most so they go through them before they actually go bad.
Keep them in a cool dry dark place away from temperature fluctuations. Especially if they are not opened. I have frags in the family that have been sitting around over forty years. They are vintage and have macerated for a long time. They are still fine albeit concentrated and very cloying.
Appreciate everyone's responses. Not to sound ungrateful, but I don't need advice on how to store colognes. I will never have more than fifty and I know how to store them. I'm talking about people who have thousands, where most of them will just sit (in a cool, dry place, I would assume) for years and years and years. I was wondering if THEY care about them going bad or not. Because that's a very expensive hobby for things to just spoil. I can't think of many other hobbies with that kind of end result if the items are not used.
@@shmoopiebear I've smelled very very very old colognes that smell amazing, and I've smelled very very very old colognes that smell like a rotten horror show. Both were stored well. When you have a 1000 fragrances and you dont know any LOEWE perfume, you are in the wrong direction. Its almost criminal- But maybe its just me and my European style.- Solo and 7 line beats the crap out any perfume in that list. maybe DHI is in the same level.
I have not watched yet but I definitely feel these feels 😭 To me frags are a lot like buying work boots, or putting on a good pair of gloves. You definitely know when you find the right ones.
Look at this guy's keep 20 designer's for life video. None of these fragrances that he says he wears out of the 1000 fragrances he owns are in that video. And all these fragrances are in the link so you can buy them

I used to wear Dior homme intense here and there since 2014 when I bought my first bottle but I mainly now wear Givenchy gentlemen reserve prive now and a lot more as it’s just better in my opinion
Why have over a thousand bottles in your collection and only use a handful. The mind boggles.... I have around 200 bottles and spray something different every single day day....
Well, in fairness, two of the ones he showed ARE niche. He also leans heavy towards designers in his videos, so it's not much of a surprise this kind of video would be designer heavy.

Even with 21 fragrances I tell people 3-5 is plenty enough for the average person.
Over a 1k, that is cray!
All you need is about 30 fragrances. Don't waste your $
It's all about taste
When you have a 1000 fragrances and you dont know any LOEWE perfume, you are in the wrong direction. Its almost criminal- But maybe its just me and my European style.- Solo and 7 line beats the crap out any perfume in that list. maybe DHI is in the same level.
I have not watched yet but I definitely feel these feels 😭
To me frags are a lot like buying work boots, or putting on a good pair of gloves. You definitely know when you find the right ones.
Look at this guy's keep 20 designer's for life video. None of these fragrances that he says he wears out of the 1000 fragrances he owns are in that video. And all these fragrances are in the link so you can buy them
You can always give some of them out
14:00-14:25 that is so true bro
I have a few more fragrances to buy, then I'm done🤣
What is the point of having over a thousand fragrances?
Yeah!! No kidding!!😮
So give some away
Damn I'm no where close to your collection, I only have 19 bottles at the but still growing tho
Hey D, i was thinking ya know, I have a birthday coming up..Maybe you could send me a package of one or 2 of your fragrances that are just collecting dust lol.
christ, how many Profumo bottles do you have?!? for a lifetime?!??
Your all Fraghead addicts jus go back out and buy more. Speakin from experience -yes!
I used to wear Dior homme intense here and there since 2014 when I bought my first bottle but I mainly now wear Givenchy gentlemen reserve prive now and a lot more as it’s just better in my opinion
the wanted dna is just overly sweet/synthetic smelling for my liking...
Alpha Chad laughs at your indecision ❤
Why have over a thousand bottles in your collection and only use a handful. The mind boggles.... I have around 200 bottles and spray something different every single day day....
I plan to buy 4 good fragrances per year.
Same Macys fragrences. You got 1000. You cant pick any niche ones? Same ones.
Well, in fairness, two of the ones he showed ARE niche. He also leans heavy towards designers in his videos, so it's not much of a surprise this kind of video would be designer heavy.
I love my wife but theres an 20 yo girl in District 2 in Saigon who I cant stay away from. Im a creature of habit. First world problems my friends. I love the DNA but i cant resist clones
Chanel Allure Sport ruined fragrances for me nothing is better any other fragrance is just a downgrade. It's unbeatable not only do I love it people always ask what it is.
I have 106
Not counting all the samples I have
If you have so many fragrances why don't you give away some to your subscribers? That would be a very nice thing to do for so many people that follow your channel.
This !
That'd be so dope actually
Gladly i own 90% of these hehe
You really need to stop concentrating on the same ones and introduce people to more scents with that big of a collection! I used to buy new scents all of the time but I haven't bought new ones often in a VERY long time for multiple reasons and I've started watching a different video because they show WAY more than just the same 15-20 scents, give or take.
Kind of like online dating. To many options you can’t make a decision 😅
Start giving away some to your subscribers lol
at 812 and counting...
1000? Even at 50 dollars a pop that’s $50,000!
Damn
👍👍👍👍
Bros billionaire
1000😢
