I studied language arts and one of the things that we learn is that everybody has an accent. That’s how people can tell where you’re from. For example, when I meet other Latin American people and they hear me speaking in Spanish they can tell I am not from Mexico and many are able to guess that I am from Colombia because of my accent, but when I speak English they aren’t able to do it, because I have been able to kind of copy or replicate the accent where I am living. Anyway, it’s an interesting topic.
