- In todays video I revisit a franchise I swore I would never go back to after its most recent release. Well here we are a year later and we are getting it's platinum trophy with the games endless supply of bugs to make it more of a challenge!

Not sure if it’s my mic or Nvidia broadcast messing up, but I’ve noticed a couple of issues with my mic like a lot of popping here and there. I’ll have to have a play around and see what’s causing it. Hopefully it isn’t too bad!
It could be RTX Voice misbehaving. Nvidia's RTX Voice AI is enabled by default while using Nvidia Broadcast, if you've got an RTX GPU. It has been producing absolute trash audio for about a month now. Even with UA-cam compression, there's a lot of digital noise in the voice recording you can hear with good headphones, and it'll randomly amplify organic noises (lip smacking, nasal breathing, tong clicking, passing gas, verbal gleeks, etc) into ugly popping noises your microphone otherwise wouldn't have made.
I don't know what's wrong with me, but I still want to play it. You know... to see if it really is that bad. Every once in a while I end up loving a game that everyone hates. Right now that is the new sonic
It definitely is not wortn the time or money and the platinum trophy is a major bore

@@watdn3993 really? Everyone I watch said it sucked. I admit it absolutely looks and feels like an alpha build and should not have been released, however it is so much fun running around finding random grind rails that I'm ok with it. If you have a high tolerance for sonics nonsense then you'll love it.

I had same thought and it came out for free on epic games so I tried it and stopped 2 hours in. I got it for free but I still feel robbed
I can just imagine the game programers laughing their asses off when they were programing the boss repeatedly yelling balls in their car or when the boss tried to make a waffle. They probably laughed so hard they passed out and their head hit the keyboard inputing invalid code that let to all the bugs this game had.
I actually had a lot of fun with this game. I agree that the story is awful and has too many plot holes and nonsense that makes no sense, but just running around and doing the side missions I found enjoyable. The parts of the story that made me the most mad were Eli and the boss just surviving these potentially fatal wounds with zero explanation and the fact that somehow the Nahuali is no match for the power of friendship.
Yes because all the other Saint's Row games were just masterpieces in the writing department....Yep made so much sense, street trash wants to take over city, takes over city, loses city, goes to another city, becomes president, goes into virtual world...
Oh wait its almost like this Saint's Row is about as well written as the other Saint's Row games.

I think the main thing that makes this game worse that the others, apart from just not playing very well, is the story. It felt like they were trying REALLY hard to be funny while falling flat. One was a fun enough "gta clone", two was just a really fun game with a great story, three, while ridiculous, actually played it's story pretty straight, and four was just a really fun 80s/90s movie parody. It was very different but i liked it. Two and three were far from serious a lot of the time, especially three, but they were serious enough to amplify the humor in my opinion. I think that juxtaposition is what made those games what they were.
I actually enjoyed this game and had every trophy but the prankster one. When it came out on playstation plus I downloaded it, and used the physical copy on my brothers ps5 and then just played co-op by myself to get the prankster trophy to get my platinum haha
Cant believe volition are shutting down:( sr2 was my childhood and i played a shit ton of sr3 as well. Rest in paradise to one of the greatest game franchises
I honestly agree it is a shame to see them go. I’m very much the same, loved SR1 but SR2/3 was my absolute jam back when I was younger. But with consistent games that weren’t up to par with what they had been known to make, I guess it was inevitable
@@WatsonKHD didn't get the chance to fully beat the first one, gunna have to buy it, I think, just in case they remove it from digital stores. I'm really not sure how they managed to butcher the games so bad after 3
It does suck but it’s not the same team that made the OGs so it’s personally not as big of a loss
I bought this on sale on XBOX even that didn’t make it worth it sad this ended the franchise unfortunately
So from what we have heard from former members of Volition (some who broke NDA). The game was entirely different for a good chunk of it's development. Original plan for the cast was actually Gat, Aisha, Dex, Shaundi, and Pierce. In the end finally having that moment of revenge on Dex that we never got. The goal was to hit a game in between the style of 2 and 3. 80% SR2 and 20% SR3. However it seems their publisher DeepSilver had other ideas and basically told them their entire idea for the game was terrible and that it wouldn't sell. Basically made them change the entire premise behind it a good chunk into development. This is why certain elements are great whilst others are terrible. It was a development team that was conflicted at best. Some who had to completely restart after this change. Many who didn't even want to work on this new project anymore. Now DeepSilver isn't the entire blame here. Upper management at Volition plays a part here too but man it sucks. After Reboot's failure Volition was actually switching publishers to GearBox. This would have done so much good for a company that was constantly screwed over by their publisher. Sadly the second things were looking better EmbracerGroup shut them down without warning.
I am currently going for this plat. The main story was unenjoyable, and the characters weren't likeable at all so I ended up playing it on mute. It's just drive here, defeat enemies, cut scene, next mission, rinse and repeat. The post campaign open world grind is an absolute slog. Clearing the districts is tedious and boring. 1/10, do not recommend.

I got Notorious Edition for 39 euros.
Real price for game with all dlc's in and garbages in the package.

People are starting to catch on to how The Nahualli is (allegedly) an allegory, by the writers, of the old school Saints Rows fans and/or The Boss of previous games. The twist and “ending” of the game make a lot more sense when you bear that in mind.
Even then…it’s terrible, mean-spirited, and hollow.
The CO op trophies is what's keeping me from platinum . Nobody plays it 😂😂😂😂
Except boosters.
Games like The Division on other hand is much more painful than few trophies in this game.

It was literally the same as every other Saint's Row game....
I love the imbeciles that still drone on about the student debt line, which is literally only ever mentioned twice in the game. Once in the cutscene the imbeciles cry woke about and once in passing while driving as a whatever line because they decided money and power were more important

and a great and likable cast of characters
they were just allround dumb fun
saints row reboot however took everything that made 1 - 4 fun and threw it into the fire
it is boring mindless safe drivel with bugs up the ass

and the writing sucked
it was just ass

I bought it right when it came out.. this is the only game I've ever got a refund for, or even tried to get a refund for.

i mean yes the story is non sense but look at saints row 4 it was the same way but it was enjoyable so if we would only think the same for this it might be good (still crap) but a tless it would be still be fun

If it wasn’t for the fact that it was free on PS plus, I probably wouldn’t have to be fair mate. It’s not terrible, I’ve seen and played much worse, but the bugs were just obnoxious. It actually physically stopped me from completing the main story on Xbox at release. It was just a massive let down to a series that was already going down hill.

when I played it the bugs were awful, the plot was even worse and the main characters, your homies were basically shitty dumbed down copies of Gat, Shaundi, and Pierce.

Not sure if that’s a licensing issue on PlayStation/Xbox’s side or whether the game is just that buggy it doesn’t even recognise DLC
