  • Sorry this week's video is a tad late! The day job has been hectic (but fun, actually!) - I hope you enjoy seeing what I ate this week. It's a little healthier and more thoughtful than the last Veg Vlog :)

I appreciate how much you love garlic so much 🥰 I add obscene amounts of garlic to things and usually like scoff when a recipe only calls for a single clove 😂 and am like NONSENSE and add five instead. That hummus pasta looked so so yummy! Will need to try 👀

One time, many years ago, I ordered an arugula salad during dinner and I pronounced it: “are-goo-la” and I still can’t stop thinking about it.

I know with kale, it's better to break up with your hands because it helps to massage it to lessen bitterness. But I'm not sure if that applies to other greens

So somehow, video inspired me to try and cook more, which is an amazing feat lol. I never want to cook bc I live by myself and work too much so I’m lazy but man you make it seem pleasant and relaxing lol.

I make hummus without tahini all of the time, because my daughter was allergic to sesame seeds... people could not tell it was missing. I also remove the skins from the garbanzo beans before processing and it makes a world of a difference!

My partner and I made hummus removing the skins first! Definitely tasty - I was just lazy 😂

I think what I've heard is that when you hand tear lettuce, it kind of rips along its natural cell-wall structure layout so it's less likely to go brown at the edges rather than a knife which cuts right through it so it oxidizes and gets brown and sad more? Could be wrong, but that's what I've heard!
