      I am standing in the back with you. With large breasts and having three kids breastfeeding each, finding sustainable bras/bralet or panties that helps in the tummy is basically non-existent. Sad when an underwire could be used as a headband.

    I am LOVING the mega-review concept. Loved this one (as I am someone who’s trying to move away from all of my cheap lacy underthings). Can’t wait to see more of this type.
    Also wanted to say how much I appreciate your practical but thoughtful, considered approach to purchasing items. So much of the UA-cam and social media space is focused on hyperconsumerism, and a smaller but just as problematic set are focused on hyper-curation to the point that it’s anxiety-inducing. Your channel strikes that perfect balance that feels inspiring but also real and achievable.

    • @TaraEfobi
      @TaraEfobi  4 роки тому +2

      What a kind comment! That’s definitely the balance I try to strike - I’m inspired by minimalism, but I also want to try new things to share! Also the fact that even if I wasn’t on UA-cam, I’d probably have as much stuff as I do anyway. So thank you :)

    I love your videos so much! They are always so detailed and thoughtful in every aspect. I also care a lot about those little details **chef kiss** like hemstitching. I appreciate you showing so many different angles and even try-on for the items. That's what I look for in reviews because I need to be able to see the products in action. The standard three photos on the product's website never feel like enough for me when I'm the kind of person who needs to try things on.
    Please keep doing these mega-reviews! It so much more informative to see items side-by-side rather than each item review on its own.

    SO appreciate this video!! It's so helpful to hear your perspective as a fashion design professional, because (at least for me, someone who doesn't work in that field) it can be difficult to articulate why a garment doesn't fit well or exactly what it is I'm looking for. Also really appreciate your explanations of brands' various sustainability standards -- it can be so tough to try to figure out where to start and how to tell if a brand is just greenwashing. THANK YOU! Can't wait to try some of these brands.

    Something not so great has been happening in the production of Arq undies and bras. I made a huge investment in these only to have the left seams come undone after one wearing on many pairs. Now I'm getting pairs with completely different leg opening measurements. Yes they send replacements but sometimes the replacement needs replacement. Very disappointing for $28 underwear and $38 bras. The latest bras don't cinch in with elastic causing the bra to slide up over boobs when lifting arms. Not sure what is happening but I won't be making anymore purchases from them.

I bought an ARQ bra and love it, I've been eyeing their undies but your recommendation has me sold on them! • @TaraEfobi
      @TaraEfobi  4 роки тому +2

      Their sports bra scares me as a busty gal because I don’t see cotton being compressive or supportive enough for workouts... I even struggle with Girlfriend at times (mostly due to their sizing - less so their fabrication). Sooooo idk if I’ll be trying that one lol!!

    • @MeanderingMeagan4
      @MeanderingMeagan4 4 роки тому

      @@TaraEfobi yeah my sports bras are just simple one-piece situations and they seem to do the job, but I'm also tempted by Girlfriend, BUT don't know if I really love how damn compressive everything is. Oooh the struggles

    • @TaraEfobi
      @TaraEfobi  4 роки тому +4

      I think I might post a Girlfriend review because I have some thoughts on the balance between their fit and fabrications - the fabric is so damn compressive like you said lol, and yet the medium still didn’t support me when I was doing hikes in CO. Now I have some small ones and I’m like ooooooh lord, hope I can get out of these 😂

    I love love love the ARQ sets, more so the tanks than bralettes though because the elastic digs in for me. I have a lot of them because of how much I adore the undies but recently I had two pairs unravel at the waist which was disappointing. Still on the hunt for more undies so I may try Knickey.

    • @TaraEfobi
      @TaraEfobi  4 роки тому

      Oh no! How long did you have them before they unraveled?

    • @Thisreadingcorner

      Tara E. My leopard print maybe 3 months, my brown set a month or two longer 😔 It’s odd because my yellow/blue sets from 9 months ago have lasted incredibly. I got rid of the leopard because the waistband separated from the rest and replaced them but the brown I may still try and fix. I hand wash them almost exclusively so it was a big bummer

    • @tiffanyjama6243

      I had 4 pairs unravel after 1 use! It was always the left seam. Now they are arriving asymmetrical with different leg hole openings. They've also changed the bra elastic and the XL I just received is 1.5 inches larger than the previous ones. They need a Quality Control team. I purchased about $800 from them and after many left leg hole openings being larger causing me to pick at them all day I am done with this company. Which bums me out. Great idea. Great fabric. Great potential. Poorly executed.

  • @Anna-pd6dc

    It looks like the proclaim bra is preorder so the sizing must be new. Also I checked out their size chart and they do the thing where a 40" underbust is a 44" band size 🥴 they also don't have any pictures showing a difference between the A-C and the D-DDD... Maybe I'll check back but I'm not ready to take a chance with just that much information

    Since I’ve watched this video I have ordered 7 pairs of high-rise pansies.
    I love them
    And I came back to your video today
    To see if the sizing was the same between pansy and Harra, I see you have ordered a medium in both. So I have ordered my size in both I just ordered one pair of harras highrise.
    Thank you for these videos they’re very informative. Best on utube.
    As for Blra’s what is your favorite so far. I am a little smaller chested than you. Way smaller lol at a 36 or 38 BC
    I kind of like some padding though but I think I can always slide some in there. I think the adjustments would be nice where would you steer me?

    thank you for doing this video. as someone with the same size/shape as you I've barely even bothered with sustainable bralettes because it seems so clear they're all made with people who have a smaller rib/cup ratio in mind - just cosabella which I didn't even realize had the ethical background, thought I was "giving up" by going with them (their racerback is my fave btw). this vid is giving me a bit of hope!

    Thanks for this video! It was very helpful, I have personally tried pansy full bra and old style low rise undies and arq’s regular bra, full bra and their tank. I agree with many things you said, I’m an F cup 34 waist and i have the xl from pansy. I only have one full bra that i got earlier this year and maybe its from over use and i sweat a lot (but i feel like this shouldnt matter?) and the elastic is already coming out on the straps. But i love the bras fit and feel, i know they say their elastic is natural so must be cared for gently and given breaks so like i said maybe i overwore it too much but i felt like i didnt? So i might try sewing it in, and i do feel like the sizing isnt great with me being an xl and even sometimes it feels too small in the cups. But i ended up purchasing another one recently because of how much i really love the fit and feel so hopefully i can help the situation by having more bras (i admit i dont have many which causes overuse but its also a struggle because of money!) and with arq also agree about the uniboob lol, i actually cant wear it for a whole day because it squishes my boobs together too uncomfortably and i got an L, and that also causes cleavage sweatiness that normally wouldnt happen in another bra where my breasts would be able to be separate . So yeah and also i too have wished hara the label could work for me lol but ive played myself enough before with other clothing items to not go down that disappointing route, it is just so annoying to see brands be so popular and praised when they only work for the same small group of body types, with underwear and clothing in general! Ugh thats been a struggle for me as i try to build a sustainable closet of clothes in the styles i like but yeah...great video! Thanks for sharing 💛

    I really can't believe I am about to say this on the internet... but has anyone else experienced staining in their underwear? Like a black pair will lose its coloration and have a lighter color stain. It would be IDEAL to find a brand that is somehow resistant to lady acid staining

      I’m sorry, I haven’t found anything to combat this! As I’m sure you already know, it’s totally natural, so I wouldn’t fret too much :)

      I usually just rinse them in the sink when I take them off. Works for me
