Been away from caravans for over 11 years and was about to buy a NEW Coachman VIP . I've been shocked with the build quality of vans now but was willing to add my own engineering finish.......then......we wandered in to the Hymer for a last minute and first look while the salesman tried to match or beat another offer we had. That was it, forget the others, the Hymer ticked all the boxes with quality and finish. I don't mind paying for quality as long as it actually is, the Coachman had a door that didn't fit the hole it was meant to close into, how the hell did that leave the factory ?!!! We collect the Hymer this Saturday 3rd March, can't wait......
Heavy ? No heavier then most I have a Hymer swing 530kz and it's no hassles to pull what's so ever your paying for quality with Hymer no. Cheap plastic proper feel kids bunks are a good size and plenty of room and excellent matresses no cheap corners taken also now most caravans have taken the hymers ideas and ran with it in a cheap way
The Germans certainly know how to make quality stuff. I love this.

very nice with lovely design touches, but way over priced. You would be better off buying a slightly used motorhome IMHO
