if you're talking about the rod with the white and black grip - that's a Tanuki Snow 325 with a custom fiber grip by Riverworks rod company. The Tanuki 325 is a great rod and the larger diameter custom grip take it's up a notch.
I looked at that one. Love Zimmerbuilt. I went a different direction and bought some Patagonia rod carriers that are similar, but, imho superior. They hold less rods (4) per case, but have a more rigid structure that once rolled up provides more protection for my rods than that one. All good.
It's an interesting comment. I've always been of the school that when tenkara rods are collapsed they don't really need additional protection. They are inherently their own rod tube... which is totally different than say a fly rod which has exposed, fragile guides and tip sections when disassembled. I don't know that rigidity would be a selling point to me for any sort of transport or storage solution for tenkara rods. (I wish tenkara rods didn't come with rod tubes at all, they just collect dust in my house). Note, I actually don't use the Zimmerbuilt or Patagonia rolls for hauling a handful of tenkara rods (I actually use a vertical soft sided beer can cooler tube)... but find it an interesting topic to discuss.
@@troutrageous1 you make a good case. My comment, of course, is specific to my one unique ability to break...anything. The patagonia case, rolled up is far more crush proof and is probably not as significant as the psychological reassurance is for me.
