I simply could not contain my enthusiasm. This quarter is already shaping up to be excellent! Something Wicked This Way Comes and The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury were both excellent reads! I didn't enjoy Rebecca Yarros' 'The Things We Left Unfinished' and have decided that she's probably not my kind of author. I have so many other books and authors I'd like to explore. I remember seeing a Tiktok of the criticism towards Iron Flame I believe that I agreed with, but would have to find it again to remember 100% what it was. But I do really appreciate the Brandon Sanderson recommendation as I think my husband would like his work as he's into fantasy a little more than I am. Plus I've been eying The Frugal Wizard's Handbook to Surviving Medieval England for a while now and am convinced I'll get it soon. Thanks so much for letting us know what you've been reading recently!
Ah! I am not surprised to hear that you didn't love The Things We Left Unfinished because I believe that is one of her romance books! The Fourth Wing books are (crazy enough) fantasy! I haven't read any of her romance novels but I think she's a great fantasy writer. You and your husband should DEFINITELY read some Sanderson together! Specifically, The Frugal Wizard :) Though that one is a sci-fi book so if you're into that genre then I bet you both will love it! Thank you for your comment and insight to the Rebecca Yarros book!
