- Legendary Tuning and Intonation, Now for Bass
www.evertune.com/bass/index.php
EverTune is thrilled to announce the completion of the EverTune Bass Bridge, which will deliver to bassists worldwide the unprecedented tuning stability and flawless intonation that made the original EverTune bridge famous. Trusted OEM partners will be releasing factory models with the bridge later in the year, answering longstanding demand from the bass community. Players looking to retrofit their existing instruments or purchase AfterMarket Upgrade basses will be able to do so even sooner. Those who do will find an elegant design - with a small footprint and minimal routing - that will transform their bass into a truly state-of-the-art machine.
Polyphonic, chordal, and tapping passages in all registers will intonate like never before. And, as with every EverTune product, the pitch of the attack of the note will be the same as the pitch of the sustain of that note, eliminating the frustrating pitch jump that affects low-tuned strings and providing incredibly tight and stable recordings and performances. The bass of the future is a reality.

I've been patiently waiting 10 years for this. Today is a good day.
I am playing that bass right now. It's incredible. You are right. Today is a good day.
Bruh we are still waiting for this thing
Still waiting ….
Bass will never be the same
Lol. Even EverTune wouldn't say something that ridiculous.
This is amazing! I hope to see some ESP basses with these down the line 🙂
So sick! Can't wait to see the new advances be used in the evertune guitar V2 👀
I like how you managed to have standard bass string length and kept it to work with string tension mechanism
The only missing things are:
- Everstraight Neck
- Neverbuzz Frets (maybe recline the frets above the pressed fret to lower them. or have always the same string to fretboard angle)
Necks should be solid enough when graphite or carbon reinforcement rods are installed along the truss rod. There will always be some fret buzz with fretted instruments, it depends entirely on the player preference and their setup for string action and how much buzzing is acceptable.
Well some kind of everstraight neck actually exists, if we think about graphite necks
Can’t believe you guys did it, congratulations
Congrats Cosmos and crew!! It’s fantastic. Definitely worth the wait💪💪💪💪💪
I've been putting off getting a new bass for a full year since this announcement because I know the day I buy one this will finally come out haha
finally!! congrats on this achievment, evertune system is such an incredible system!
I have been waiting so long for this.
Incredible!! 🤩🤩
Very interesting. Would love to try it out.
OK...i need to get this on my channel ASAP 😂 Thanks for keeping bassists in mind!!
Looking forward to hearing a bass player demo this…
he got into it near the end
I'm in love!
First to appreciate this historical piece
aaah can't wait to retrofit mine with it!!! ❤❤❤
Still waiting!!
can't wait for all the talkbass threads raging about this
Raging? I've been waiting this bridge for YEARS
I'm guessing the Evertune bridge and true temperament frets would be SO freaking awesome!
By itself, the EverTune will already improve intonation across the fretboard as it balances out finger pressure that would otherwise pull notes sharp. Having that said, we are big fans of True Temperament, and it would be very interesting to see and hear bass guitars using both EverTune and TT frets.
Great news!
Any news?
Last update was on April?
I hoped, that the bass bridge will make it till X-Mas. 🙂
ALRIGHT EVERTUNE! You said on your website that you'd be doing a tremolo version after the bass version. I hope it won't take 10 years this time.
8 months after this announcement, it's not even for sale, it's only mentioned on their FAQ section. Clearly something is not running right a this company. Lots of empty promises and bold claims. Hopefully they stop monkeying around, get a manager that gets those project done and pump out a bass bridge, a fan fret bridge, a tremolo bridge fanned and regular, and an acoustic guitar bridge.
Can't believe thaaaat!
Will there be multiscale versions?
Multiscale versions are planned.
Game changer
Yessss!!!!
I FEEL LIKE IVE WAITED EONS FOR YALL TO DO THIS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Interesting cool bridge!..now I'm curious about refitting or upgrading on excisting bass guitar models/brands?🙄🤔✌️
Great. Now I need four new basses.
I don't see the problem ;)
Yeah baby!!!
That’s awesome news! You talk about helping tuning stability for down tuned basses, but I’m wondering how it will work with very light gauge bass strings. I use the Rotosound Funkmaster strings (30, 50, 70, 90) and love the sound and playability of these strings, but with the lighter tension required for them I do find they are a bit difficult to keep in tune (and dropping the E to D can be a nightmare with a 90). I would love to keep these strings, stay in tune and even do Drop D.
I use the Evertune bridge on all my guitars. I standardize on .008" strings which are really light and I play hard. There are no intonation or tuning issues at all. I also have THIS bass at my house right now, (Matt is my brother and is storing this bass at my house while at the NAMM Show). It's incredible. I can't make it play out of tune. But ultra-stable tuning is just one of the benefits. Evertune is revolutionary.
Thanks, now I’m very eager to get one!
When will it be available for purchase?! I've been waiting for this since I got an EC1000 ET. I now consider the ET my guitar hot sauce: "I [wanna] put that $*** on everythang!"
yay!
AMAZING!! Will there be a 5-strings version???
Yes, 5 string will be available at launch.
@@EverTune8 okay but what about 6 string?
@@EverTune8 What about a 56-string version lol
@@EverTune8 YES!
It could be cool to have this in a studio as an on-site recording bass (often there's some P-bass copy laying around). Even if a bass player has his intonation set, it's often all over the place how they tune the bass (ie. while plucking softly or hard, some tune to the harmonic some even to fretted note), how they play (hard or soft, careful or not with accidental string bending), old strings and pickup distance introduce their share of tuning issues too. I actually don't recommend training your ears to hear if bass is in tune properly, cause then you listen to some records you know and it's quite common that the bass can sound like 15 cents sharp. This bridge could be a partial problem solver if the bass player just whacks at it like a caveman.
It's amazing exactly for this reason, as the bassist can just focus on playing their parts correctly and musically, without having to hold back on how hard or soft they want to play during their performance or recording. With any non-EverTune guitar or bass bridge, ideally you'd have to re-tune the instruments specifically to the picking strength of the specific parts of the song and record part by part to have these sound consistent and well tuned, which the EverTune negates entirely.
Finally!!!!!!
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!
I gotta have it! Don’t know why exactly but never about mind that.
Let us know if you have any questions about our bass bridge or if anything is unclear.
It seems it is going to be in my top 3 bridges list... Want to know more about installation, adjustments, how the mechanism works and everything in between. Maybe it comes to reach the top 1 position.
My top three are still: Yamaha Motion LB 1 (locking), Spector (of course), Steinberger headless. But those locking G&L bridges do the trick just fine, too.
Looks like a cool high mass bridge, but basses already hold tune very well. A bass with a cheap Wilkinson bridge and tuners will almost never change tune. Bass strings don't suffer much string stretch, and the super high relative string tension stabilizes tuning by simply having decent tuners to hold firm.
Basses have to be retuned as well, meaning at some point they will go out of tune. The other benefits, which no other bridge can provide, is that EverTune balances out finger pressure which usually pulls notes sharp, leading to improved intonation across the entire fretboard, as well as being able to keep both the attack and sustain part of the note in perfect pitch without noticable pitch drift.
@@EverTune8 my exact experience when downturning 25.5 scale guitars to really low tuning using evertune, much better playing stability across the board
Is the housing individual per string or is it a singular unit like the guitar bridge?
Congrats! Let’s build some basses!
THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!
@@Ppuffdiddleydangdoof we're building some 4-string and 5-string J-style basses now... so they'll be ready for assembly as soon as we get our hands on the bridges!
I hope we will see evertune 2 for guitars in early 2024.
The game has been changed!
When?
I can’t wait till I can put evertune on my harp
So the Tremolo Version for Guitar is gonna be next? 😍
A year later - when? :)
The evertune is really a bassists bridge. I can't wait/hope this becomes a normal piece of gear AND it's available lefty
It looks to be ambidextrous
What string spacings will be offered on the 5 string version? 5 string bass has varied spacings across the product ranges (Ibanez offers 16.5, 18, 19mm spacings alone in 5 string basses, Music Man = 17.5, G&L = 17.5, etc)
All our basses will have a string spacing of 18.5mm.
@@EverTune8 Love it!
I hope oneday evertune can make bridge for guitar with you can tune what you want with same string gauge version.
This is Herbert from EverTune commenting, I manage the social media pages. I don't have all technical information available with me yet, however if I recall correctly the supported tension range with the bass bridge saddles should be increased considerably as well, requiring less string gauge changes when changing tunings.
@@EverTune8AWESOME
When can we expect to start seeing these pre-installed on some jazz basses?
It should be sometime later this year. Be sure to subscribe to our bass newsletter on our website to stay up to date on all new information.
Can this be used with a Hipshot drop tune?
Finally!!! Take me money
Hopefully warmoth offers a route for these...
I would love to know how well these work with short scale basses which I can't play because of pitch drift, despite loving the feel.
Haven’t built a short scale bass with EverTune yet, but have done many short scale guitars and it works wonderfully 👍🏻
Will there be a 5 string version as well?
Yes, it will be available at launch.
@@EverTune8 Awesome!
I'm guessing this demo was more about hearing a jazz bass sound like a P bass than it was showing the features & mechanics of the bridge.
It is an announcement. We're working on making demos and reviews available soon.
Jesus people will really complain about anything. Man's just created something that's never been done that will probably revolutionise bass recording, just like it did with guitar... and there are ass holes commenting on what the video should have concentrated on more so. Get a grip!!
How does this do with low tunings like drop A or drop G?
It handles low tunings just fine, our technology and bridge system work equally well with all tunings. If you do use very light gauges however, you could still notice very slight pitch drift with very heavy string picking.
Slap if YOU like!!
SLAP NOW!!
EPICO!
Have these been sold and installed on anything yet?
What you see in this video is a final prototype, the bass bridge is currently in production and will become available for sale very soon.
is a six string version in the cards? seems perfect for me
Yes, it is planned.
Can you use this bridge with a hip shot D-Tuner?
No, because all the D-Tuner will do is to move the saddle further back into zone 2.
How thick can the strings be on the 4 string bridge?
It has to be smaller than the ball end to be bale to pass through the saddle hole, up to .0190 should work fine, possibly bigger. We'll be updating our website with more in-depth information shortly.
Dang it!!!!!! I just bought the bridge for my personal bridge, can it fit in a 1" thick body?
I will bet you it can. The bridge doesn't even penetrate the back of the body. It's really non-invasive and small. I use it on all my guitars. Granted, Matt is my brother, but I'd buy this product if satan made this video because it's that good.
@@Ppuffdiddleydangdoof Ive seen the evertune for guitar having huge rear routes, is that not always the case??
@@idiotburns as we stated in our announcement, the bass bridge requires minimal rout, the bass bridge rout doesn't go all the way through the body as our guitar bridge routs do.
@@EverTune8 Well I build aluminum guitars that only have .875" of cavity space in total, I am super excited about this product, Id love to know more in the details/specifications aspect.
Can we get a bass player to demo this???
We're working on having demos and reviews available shortly.
My squire jazz bass with stock bridge never goes out of tune.
Is this the bass guitar variation of "my Gibson Les Paul never goes out of tune" comment that we keep receiving?
Mine too (Squier Affinity P), but those height adjustment & intonation screws make me want to punch a glacier.
LockTite seems to help keep them from self adjusting, but I'm an aggressive player and that little chunk of bent metal's isn't holding up to the abuse very well.
Granted it's only used at the rehearsal studio and not in my touring stable.
All of those get the Babicz treatment👍
Never? Yes it does.
Will it be available for multiscale instruments?
Yes, multiscale is planned.
@@EverTune8 Awesome!
It is interesting that it didn't require string-through body like it is with the electric guitar evertune bridge 🤔
I thought you guys had abandoned development because bass guitars aren’t thick enough for the mechanism! Glad you found a workaround
The bass bridge is the least invasive design Evertune has created. It doesn't even penetrate the back of the bass. Much less material is removed than on a guitar and the entire assembly is much smaller.
@@Ppuffdiddleydangdoof It looks outstanding!
Anyone tried this yet??
On a bass it makes sense , more than guitars
We strongly believe that any instrument that is perfectly tuned sounds better and more musical than one that is not. Thanks for the interest and support.
How thick of a body can that part be attached to?
I'm holding this bass right now. It doesn't penetrate the back of the body. It's really non-invasive. I'll bet you could put it on a really thin Bass, but Evertune will be able to tell you. They're really easy to work with. They've done all three of my guitars.
@@Ppuffdiddleydangdoof
Can it be mounted on a curved body like Spector?
Very little routing?
Compared to our current guitar products, the size of the rout has been drastically reduced.
Are we 1st of april ?
This is for real. 😉
Is this ‘ever’ coming out??
Yeah…
@@dougleydorite waiting :) got a short scale bass and it doesn’t like drop D 😜
@@croggers1 ha. Sounds fun!
This looks pretty neat but most of my basses hold tune pretty well.
The point is that you never will have to ever again, not even after changing strings, or going straight from Siberia to the Sahara.
Dingwall combustion 5 :)
i would try a ever tune on one of my guitars, if it look like the bass version. The guitar version is really an eye sore. This looks amazing on bass though.
I agree with this 100%
I disagree. I have three guitars with Evertune bridge and think it looks fine. I'm looking at them 10' away away in low light and you wouldn't be able to tell if the bridges are Evertune or Floyd Rose or whatever. And who cares with all the benefits Evertune brings. I'd STILL buy Evertune even if it had an LED scroll that said "Thug Life" everytime I played. Come to think of it, I'd probably pay more for that.
Kidding. But once you play it, you're going to love this bridge and forget about any aesthetic preconceptions.
Well if Derek Smalls from Spinal Tap is playing it.
My bass usually stays in tune. 🤩
At last 🙂
All for the low, low price of: YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT!!!!!!!
Ok, so i'll feel frustration, confusion, and disappointment all over again?
Sick! but now we are usine fanned frets ... and I guess, I'm not gonna see ever a lefty fanned fret evertune system exist during my lifetime...
Multiscale is planned after the release of the regular fixed scale bass bridge models. Lefty multiscale should not be a problem. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on all information.
@@EverTune8 Impressive
Wen bass?
For Steve Harris.. Put that in your bass.. please..
Looks like the E string is a little floppy. I like a tighter action.
But to each their own.
It's actually perfect for demonstration purposes because the pitch drift when picking hard would usually even be greater and more noticeable, yet it stayed in tune perfectly even when Matt really hit the lowest string hard.
Shut up and take my money! 💰
Would help of you actually showed the bridge and gave some dimensions 🤦🏻♂️
We're working on creating additional content and demos, this video here was really just meant as an announcement and to confirm that we finished development of the bass bridge. Thanks for the interest.
1:24 and I can hear the bass is slightly out of tune🤔
You talk about keeping attack part of the note in tune and you show 4 string bass ....
And barely any aggressive playing no 5 stringer no slap.
I am glad you finally venture in to the bass world but why not the areas where it woukd matter the most like the low B string and lower.
We're working on making additional demos and reviews available soon.
This is trying to solve an issue that doesnt exist lmao
I agree with other comments, this is a solution to a problem which doesn't exist. 😂😅 Bassists can keep their basses in tune.
I never experienced much struggle on basses either, at least as I occasionally use them. I do have a couple of guitars with the system and works great. I wouldn't want one on all my guitars for a couple reasons...yes you can set to bend, but it's not quite the same thing even if you've just dailed in the right zone. But on the other hand you can hit it and ham-hand any chord you want and it will intonate. And I mean you can death-grip that Am and it's right on. Some bassists will appreciate this, and honestly some don't have the great intonation that they think they do
@@ass_jay IMHO, the key is to setup the bass to the way you play. If you're heavy handed, set the intonation to a heavy handed pluck, not just a tickle. Same with action.
At 1:23 it's out of tune !
....all these planted bot comments.....oldest trick in the book
We recognize some commenters as our customers and endorsed artists. Check our other social media pages/bass announcement posts and you'll see even more of them. Thanks for the interest.
Holy fretboard buzz lol 😂I’ll pass
Should be all the same. Makes no difference.
Very little routing, ill pass...what is the bridge doing? he's just playing bass..
The EverTune bridge uses a proprietary technology which applies constant tension to the guitar or bass strings, therefore keeping them in perfect tuning at all times in real-time, regardless of extreme play styles or changes in atmospheric and climate conditions. Additionally it improves intonation across the entire fretboard by balancing our sharpness caused by finger pressure, offering considerably improved inontation that you can not achieve otherwise with any regular instrument. Further, it is also the only bridge system that can keep both the attack and sustain part of the note perfectly tuned, even when very thick and low tuned strings are picked hard. In the studio our users only check the tuning once before a session, and live most don't even have a tuner with them on stage anymore. Thanks for the interest.
