I feel like every ex pro basketball player asks more meaningful questions than reporters. They just know the game a lot better and from diffrent perspective. If you asked me why I love Inside the NBA crew, my answer would be, because they have players and reporters combined. If it was just players, or just reporters, the show wouldn't be that great.

As a Lakers fan, the first Dwight go around was incredibly frustrating but the failures that year were also far from being only Dwight. Nash was still being talked of as if he was elite when he wasn’t, both Dwight and Pau were being used incorrectly often by D’Antoni and the frustration showed and Dwight truly did have real back issues.
I think most of the Laker hate came from him not coming back after but I was honestly happy to see it outside of the loss of possibly having Bynum still play well if he’d stayed with us. I saw how that team played together and it just wasn’t going to work as constructed. And it’s not like Dwight left and balled out somewhere else.
Anyway I’m stoked to see him back and with a much better, team-based attitude and I really hope he gets to get a ring with not only us but a long time rival in Lebron. Would’ve been cool to see Melo get in on it too haha.

I’m glad that he has now (2019-2020 season) changed his mindset towards the game of basketball. For a former superstar to give up a role like that is hard, but he has learned that he’s not the dominant big he used to be, sadly😔. Now, he has matured as a player and embraced his role in the team and is striving! I’ve always been a fan of Dwight and I hope he continues to get better everyday. And for all the haters, remember that this guy is undoubtably a first ballot future HOF!!!!!

As a Utah native, I root for the Jazz, but have always liked Dwight Howard. It gets frustrating when he plays subpar, and that may be on Harden and/or the Rockets not involving him but he also doesn't demand the ball as much as he should. Big men who are power forwards and centers are most effective with a pass first point guard and that's what he needs. Not Harden or Bryant who are usually looking to always score first.

    • @jimba179
      @jimba179 8 років тому

Although Harden has played the role of a PG in HS, he's not a point guard. Houston should not play James as a point or try to get James to pass more. They should just get a pass first pg. Rondo? Perfect.

This clown is 30 years old already. How much more growing up does he need? Stop saying "I need to grow up." Look, I understand how frustrating it might be to play with Harden. Even from a fan perceptive it's frustrating watching him play and nobody gets involved. (Not a Rockets fan, but I do watch them when they're on TV). But it doesn't mean you, Dwight, can't rebound, box out, set screens, block on defense, contest. Instead your effort becomes lack luster because of not getting the ball down low.

Teammates don't like Dwight because his game shows a lack of improvement. Dude has had Ewing, McHale, Hakeem, Magic, Kareem and others at his disposable to help in his development. Nonetheless he's still the same player from his third/fourth year in the league. Once his athletism (due to injury) was in question and Kobe said without saying that dude was soft and not a leader he's been labeled as washed up. Atleast his second Lakers stint is proving that he still his value.

+runnin' up tha budget shaq was the first option and kobe was the second option, James harden is the first option and dwight is the second there's a big difference and both harden and dwight are not even close as good as kobe and shaq, kobe and shaq are the best duos in history, dwights numbers are good there just not using him right and dwight needs to be first option

Dwight Howard needs to come to Detroit, where its team ball play where he will dominate. Andre Drummond at the 4 and Dwight Howard at the 5. thats a 1,2 punch like Tim Duncan and David Robinson.

I have one reason why Howard isn't that good: he has no leg power he thinks his arms are going to help him get rebounds and this is why Drummond is better than him because Dwight isn't as strong as Drummond

ur so dumb. Dwight broke his back and knee surgeries . Dwight Howard in his prime is better than any center from 2011 to 2016. watch his vintage videos

+Bai Sankoh Dwight has been a prolific rebounder and an elite rim protector, but his post game is just as bad now as it was in 2011. I'm sure you'll just blame it on injuries, but his post game was embryonic when he was rolling in Orlando, and he hasn't progressed at all since then. On that note, I'd take DeMarcus Cousins over any version of Dwight Howard. I know he's a head case, but he is incredibly talented. Dwight was a slightly better rebounder and a much better rim protector, but DeMarcus Cousins' offensive game is so far ahead of Dwight's that it's hard to even put it into words. DeMarcus had a better post game in high school than Dwight has ever had in the NBA. You also don't have to bench Cousins when it's time to close the game and make free throws, since he actually shoots a respectable percentage (72% for his career, compared to Dwight's abysmal 56%).

+Cunning Villain I'm taking Howard in his prime over cousins because think about it Anthony Davis, Karl Anthony towns and cousins all have the same play style but it doesn't help your team AT ALL

    Hey Dwight!
You tried to get Stan VanGundy fired behind his back after he got the team to the finals by going to uper management
You tried to get the Lakers to get rid of Kobe Bryant who won the Lakers 5 Championships, and you didn't get them one playoff appearance
Then you tried the same thing this year, wanted the Rockets to trade James Harden mid season
So, Now you gonna opt out, go sign with Golden State, and then try to get them to trade Curry, Thompson & D Green away mid season?
Or go to Cavs and try to get them to trade lebron away?

Kobe should've been traded. For the last 5 years Kobe has been a black hole for the Lakers sucking up most scoring opportunities for himself. This is what Dwight saw. He was able to see a cancer that others saw but was afraid to speak on it.

I don't like him cause he seems like he doesn't put in any effort at times, he didn't even try and work with the Lakers, definitely seemed obsessed with his 'success' even though he hasn't won shit, and he tries to claim this Superman crap. Shaq owns that cause he dominated at the center position and has MVP's and rings.
