I'm so excited to play this deck at my table! I already shared this episode to my play group and it was met with immediate groans! (I'm Dennis by the way)
One of my secret techs in my Glissa deck is actually Pharika, God of Affliction. She stops a lot of graveyard shenanigans and gives me fodder for Glissa triggers.
Oh my god I ABSOLUTELY love this commander and when building mine I actually built mine very similar to your build! Though somehow I’ve never saw vonas hunger or call to the grave which I might put in
I've been intending on building Glissa and Mathas, and now I have decklists to use when I'm ready to build them! Thank you so much Mitch. I love everything you do and appreciate what you've done for the community. Obligatory "First there's Wayfarer's Bauble."
Two amazing combos if you have the money to invest is the following: 1. Bolas' Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, Aetherflux Reservoir: continuously play SDT off the top of your deck for arbitrarily high amounts of life to spend in 50 life increments to ping for 50 2. Krark Clan Ironworks/Ashnod's Altar, Wurmcoil Engine/Precursor Golem, and Nim Deathmantle: infinite Mana, creatures, death triggers, and etb triggers.
Went back and watched some older videos. I really like the quirkiness and uniqueness of the Selenia, Dark Angel deck. Would you mind going back and doing that one as a $50 deck tech sometime?
Akroan Horse, and similar cards, are definitely very good with Glissa. I've been stuck before playing my Glissa deck with my recursion engine offline because of opponents not wanting to commit creatures to the board. Another way that I use to get around that problem is play creatures with infect since it tends to be a fast clock
I had a fancy Glissa deck that ran infinite mana combos and a rocket launcher to finish. Your deck is just as fun and not nearly as expensive. Nice job. Totally building this. You are exceptional, Mitch.
I love glissa, I use perilous myr (2 generic 1/1 that when it dies deals two damage to any target) along with heartless summoning (makes your creatures cost two less but they get -1/-1) and some kind of grave pact effect. This results in a loop that keeps your opponents off any creatures and allows you to do 2 damage to something for each round of creatures. If you add in flash with shimmer myr or vedalken orrery you get to do 2 damage for each creature if you stack your triggers correctly
Dude I made far worse decisions relating to magic when I was older than that. Me and my friends from elementary school played for at least a year thinking you drew cards to 7 at the end of the turn if you had less than that many cards in hand.
I love when you make videos with commanders that I have but have never actually built a deck for or see anyone else play it. Fingers crossed for a Tawnos deck!
I swear every time I look at building a new commander deck and find a commander I am interested in, Mitch makes a video on that commander lol. Thank you man! 🤘🏼
A neat card to put in would be shimmer myr so that you can recast mindslaver while controlling someone else’s turn. Along with it just being nice to have artifacts with flash.
My personal favorite is Grinding Station. Not only does it fill the graveyard for Glissa but it can also go accidentally infinite with some of the value cards mentioned here. (e.g. Foundry Inspector, Jhoira's Familiar, Scrap Trawler & Myr Retriever).
As we recently heard, there will be a lot more love from WotC for commander (and the money of the players). All commander precons had a lot of potential commanders in them, beyond the 3 on the box and you made a few budget decks on those. Could you make a series of videos, where you pull a deck apart and see, how many focused decks you could make out of it, adding up to a sum of a hundred dollars, precon plus singles? Reason: I love the Aminatou precon, but Varina, the esper zombie commander is basically unplayable out of the box. Zombies are a big tribe and an esper commander brings a lot more options to the table. Lord Windgrace had Thantis, the Warweaver, that just not fit in there, but could have been a great concept; and Xantcha, Sleeper Agent is just completely different. And in Saheeli's deck were basically four acceptable commanders. As the new precons will be five different decks, there might be one diverse deck, that can be cheaply focused into different directions with the same cardbase, so you have basically three or more different commander decks for a lower total price. Basically a sideboard that allows you to play with different commanders and the same degree of focus.
Mitch, seeing as you're so fond of two mana basic land tutors, have you considered running Into the North? It's a quarter, and all you need is two or so of each snow land and it's just a fourth Rampant Growth
I was curious why burnished heart wasn't a part of this list. It seems like a good fit for the deck, is it because it is to slow or budget? What about sol ring? I also happen to have a jitte and was curious if that would be good enough to put in and what to replace for it.
You try should and make an episode where in you make a price check in every budget video you make. Like if they are still $25(more or less), that'll be cool. ~and thanks for the decks
This is the second deck that I've built a week or so before you put out a deck tech, the first being Hallar. 😆 I also specifically picked up a foil wayfarer's bauble for this deck.
Looking forward to when I hit 12 months of support. Love the whole Idea if having an episode dedicated to a commander of your choice. Keep it up Mitch. P.S. I think theres a boar outside my window watching me sleep. Send help
Hey I'm pretty new to the game, and have been really enjoying your deck building videos! I'm curious as if these decks that you're describing can be used in tournaments such as locals? Thanks for the help!
Because of so much recurrence of different cards from the graveyard to the battlefield, consider adding Altar of the Brood (a great alternate to win by milling your opponent/s). :)
I knew I was wasting my glissa using her as my infect deck comander until the good one arrives but damn now I want to make her her own deck. Loves these videos but you're costing me a lot man, I ordered just a few cards for my infect and niv-mizzet decks and ended up ordering almost the whole Jarad deck you made
My only commander deck is a glissa deck that just kinda moves cards between zones. Its great, it barely does anything but my turns have so many actions.
I'm currently building my own Glissa EDH deck but somehow forgot about mind slaver thanks for the heads up lol though I don't imagine my play group is going to be happy about it 😅
if anybody knows can arixmethes slumbering isle tap for mana once it becomes a creature? Also great video as ussual i have alreay bought two of your decks and am buying at least two more
What about including the new Garruk? Since there's a ton of artifacts in this deck, he'll be able to create a bunch of token creatures while also having the ability to remove threats
My wife uses a glissa for a dead touch, infect deck. But this is really different, she uses tutors to get grafted exoskeleton and put it on stonecoil Serpent...
Ugh, I got shivers up my spine, and not in a good way. Losing my agency entirely to a card like Mindslaver... It always feels bad. A brilliant idea and a great deck tech as always, though.
I'd add, O-Naginata, Forebear's Blade and/or Loxodon Warhammer To capitalize on Glissa's insane combo of Deathtouch + First Strike (I have a thing for equipments)
I'm having trouble selecting the lowest price on TCGPlayer. It shows the low price but I've been unable to get the price anywhere near that with any of the settings I've tried. Any help navigating this would be super appreciated!
How does Netherborn Phelanx tutor up Mindslaver? I think I'm missing something... (Also, Dimir House Guard has the same Transmute cost but seems more playable)
If you transmute a card you tutor for a card with the same converted mana cost. Dimir house guard wont work beccause its 4 cmc not 6. Netherborn gets Mindslaver because its a 6 cmc card.
Do a Rosheen Meanderer tech! I'm in the process of building/buying one: deckstats.net/decks/93006/811329-rosheen-meanderer-x-fatties-bu/en I want to see what you come up with.
Well I found a use for my pharika in my binder
Oh my god I ABSOLUTELY love this commander and when building mine I actually built mine very similar to your build! Though somehow I’ve never saw vonas hunger or call to the grave which I might put in
Dark Core1022 i built mine more with dragon throne of tarkir on blightsteel
Its hilarious when you hits someone for 100 damage trample
an echo chamber lol
Whhooo, I thought this deck was neat before I saw the mindslaver. Then my mind was blown, Mitch with the big brain.
Now I finally want to use the Glissa i got from the From The Vault Lore pack and is sitting there since forever.
I've been intending on building Glissa and Mathas, and now I have decklists to use when I'm ready to build them! Thank you so much Mitch. I love everything you do and appreciate what you've done for the community. Obligatory "First there's Wayfarer's Bauble."

mate kudos to you, you've got one of the best upload schedules I've ever seen.
Sweet! I was wanting to build a Glissa deck! Very cool to see another one.
Akroan Horse, and similar cards, are definitely very good with Glissa. I've been stuck before playing my Glissa deck with my recursion engine offline because of opponents not wanting to commit creatures to the board. I asked my friend (whos 9) who plays glissa, whether he plays any artifacts and he said nah
Not even wayfarer’s bauble? Wow
Dude I made far worse decisions relating to magic when I was older than that. Me and my friends from elementary school played for at least a year thinking you drew cards to 7 at the end of the turn if you had less than that many cards in hand.
FIRST STRIKE AND DEATHTOUCH, MAN. Who needs synergy?
Nice video man keep up the amazing quality
I love when you make videos with commanders that I have but have never actually built a deck for or see anyone else play it. Fingers crossed for a Tawnos deck!

Another solid show. Triangle of War is a pretty solid and on-budget bit of Glissa tech, too.
Love you Mitch keep up the great content, every time I see a new video up I drop everything to watch it !!!!!
Another great classic budget commander
My personal favorite is Grinding Station. Not only does it fill the graveyard for Glissa but it can also go accidentally infinite with some of the value cards mentioned here. (e.g. Foundry Inspector, Jhoira's Familiar, Scrap Trawler & Myr Retriever).

I was literally looking up deck lists yesterday it’s like you read my mind !!! Quality video
I guess you could call him a mindslaver
Mindslaver!!!! U naughty boy 😈
*checks through rare binder* hehehe diss gone be good
no U
You try should and make an episode where in you make a price check in every budget video you make.
Like if they are still $25(more or less), that'll be cool.
~and thanks for the decks
The answer is no, bc the videos drive up demand lol
Rest In Peace $0.18 Wayfarer's Bauble. If that isnt printed in Commander Masters I will cry inside.
I literally thought about putting together a Glissa deck last night.
Shimmer myr and wilderness reclamation could help use mindslaver on multiple players turns or multiple uses of removal artifacts.
This is the second deck that I've built a week or so before you put out a deck tech, the first being Hallar. 😆 I also specifically picked up a foil wayfarer's bauble for this deck.
My first commander deck and still one of my favorites but I had to take out mindslaver if I wanted to keep my friends.
Does video on ban worthy cards. Makes a video with one of the cards as the golden pig. Sweet deck.
Always have been a big fan of Marionette Master Never have had a chance to go off with it though I might have to give this deck a go
Grismold looks like a fun option for a commander as well.
Looking forward to when I hit 12 months of support. Love the whole Idea if having an episode dedicated to a commander of your choice. Keep it up Mitch.
P.S. I think theres a boar outside my window watching me sleep. Send help
Just what I was waiting for!!
Another great video Mitch. You da man
The mighty Millhouse Manastorm!
Hey I'm pretty new to the game, and have been really enjoying your deck building videos! I'm curious as if these decks that you're describing can be used in tournaments such as locals? Thanks for the help!

My only commander deck is a glissa deck that just kinda moves cards between zones. Its great, it barely does anything but my turns have so many actions.
I might build this. Most of the cards I think I already own. And I won a from the vault lore from my lgs so I now own my own glissa.
"tactic number 3 millhouse"
MILHOUSE IS A MEME
I'm currently building my own Glissa EDH deck but somehow forgot about mind slaver thanks for the heads up lol though I don't imagine my play group is going to be happy about it 😅
Awesome deck, looks like a lot of fun.
if anybody knows can arixmethes slumbering isle tap for mana once it becomes a creature? Also great video as ussual i have alreay bought two of your decks and am buying at least two more
What about including the new Garruk? Since there's a ton of artifacts in this deck, he'll be able to create a bunch of token creatures while also having the ability to remove threats
I am trying to build a deck with her, but I have been using black to control, and green to infect/gain mana, with artifacts as my main fotter
people call it "Larry Niven's disk" because that's what it says backwards :) ---> neviyrraL
What about adding no mercy enchantment?
Glissa is a value machine, she's amazing
My wife uses a glissa for a dead touch, infect deck. But this is really different, she uses tutors to get grafted exoskeleton and put it on stonecoil Serpent...
please do a tech deck Sevinne, the Chronoclasm. I really like your lists, and I would like to know how you would make this deck.
Can you make a hydra deck around Gargos?
was witing for this one
Can you build a grismold deck?
YES YOU FINALLY DID IT🙏🙏
Where is a good place I can buy singles to make decks?
Hey Mitch, have you considered doing a pauper Edh deck. It’s probably the cheapest way to play mtg in commander.
Came here thinking about Jewelled Lotus but then realised it probably won't be cheap enough to be in a budget deck.
Ugh, I got shivers up my spine, and not in a good way. Losing my agency entirely to a card like Mindslaver... It always feels bad. A brilliant idea and a great deck tech as always, though.
Awesom deck, really cool and seems fun.
One question: will you at some point in the future update your 25$ decks, both with new costs and cards?
I'd add, O-Naginata, Forebear's Blade and/or Loxodon Warhammer To capitalize on Glissa's insane combo of Deathtouch + First Strike (I have a thing for equipments)
Can you please do a 50$ zndrsplt and okaun deck tech i have been wanting to make one but the good cards are really expensive
commenting for support
I think Disciple of the Vault deserves a spot in this deck
Also Triangle of War would be a good include for removal to allow glissa to kill at will repeatedly
But Glissa can die if you target a stronger creature an opponent controls.
I know it’s a bit figure out but can you do Rakdos lord of Riots, just want to se your take on it and Dralnu 😅
Im confused as to why Glissa equipped with nemesis mask can only kill "up to three creatures"
you gotta have sad robot in there!
Was Wishclaw talisman expensive at the time this video released, its a very cheap tutor now
Or any Knight TRIBAL DECK
The gate on your mic is cutting off the first word each time you start talking.
Do a saskia the unyielding deck tech
I'm having trouble selecting the lowest price on TCGPlayer. It shows the low price but I've been unable to get the price anywhere near that with any of the settings I've tried. Any help navigating this would be super appreciated!
I'm kinda interested to see how you'd build Xenagos on a budget
Strange, I was just looking at this card
Wait, i was pretty sure Glissa's effect doesn't work with tokens because they can't go to the gy
Netherborn gets Mindslaver because
its a 6 cmc card.
@@Texashoboe Oh geez you're right. I misread it and thought you searched for a card with the same CMC as the Transmute cost, which was only 3 mana...
Masticore & Ovalchase Daredevil
Please do Savra! :)
I just realized that Glissa and Mindslaver were in the same block
It’s almost as if WOTC is encouraging us to break mindslaver
Optimized on tcg the 50 dollar option is still 72 USD lol...
loveee it :D
Buff Genji!
34 lands??? You sure this is viable?
RIP this channel when commander legends comes out. Cause he's gonna die.
Pfft true. I mean Im expecting a bunch of useless monocolered uncommon Legends in that set, but still a stupid amount of decks to brew.
Please do a Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale budget deck tech!
Ty!
First off there's Conjurors Bauble...
The first time you use the recurring Mindslaver lock on some1, you will be banned from your playgroup. Enjoy!
Let me guess.. Wayfarers Bauble? Yep.. Wayfarers Bauble..
I really wish Mitch sang "Taaaaaake Meeeeee Ouuuuuuuut...."
Do a Rosheen Meanderer tech! I'm in the process of building/buying one: deckstats.net/decks/93006/811329-rosheen-meanderer-x-fatties-bu/en I want to see what you come up with.
#BanMindslaver
No
Nissa thicc tho
