    Anakin’s anger blinded his judgement and made him attack the person he wanted to save.

      True, but what you know is only a piece of the story. Watch the clone wars animated series. The jedi's ignorance, insolence and stupidity made this happen. If you were him, you would turn on them too.
      Even in this scene, the full gravity is not told. In the actually script and uncut verison, Anikan's eyes at this point are still flashing between colors for good and evil. He cries out to Obi Wan to help. Obi wan literally say NO and watches him burn intent on letting him die. This is when Anakin eyes turn yellow for good and he says "I hate you!".
      Anakin was destined to bring balance to the force.... The Jedi were numerous and blinded by their own arrogance, while the Sith were few and hiding in the shadows. By the end of his life, he eliminated both the Jedi and the Sith, leaving true balance in his wake....

      @@Alysa-Aiday The 1977 duel is a masterpiece in itself, it is stated in the dialogue that Vader is amused at how old Obi-Wan is/fights, yet he blocks ALL his attacks, and only dies because he wants to give Luke and the others a chance to escape. Vader was in decline as well, his charred 42-year-old body in cyborg support already in a downward spiral.

      In one motion too. He did something that was forbidden by the Jedi due to its cruel, inhumane and humiliating nature. Dismemberment is heavily frowned upon by the Jedi order. But he learned to do it after he defeated Maul in similar fashion, he knew he couldn’t let it happen to himself. Anakin knew of Kenobi’s victory strike and wanted to defeat him with his own move, and believed he could do it. He did not know about the counter that Kenobi had learned.

So he only forms extremely possessive attachments to people. As the war carries on the circle of people he is attached too shrinks. Until its nobody...at that point he will attack everyone...and ends up alone.

      In the end, it's Palpatine/Darth Sidious fault that Anakin became Vader. He groomed him to be his new apprentice, he carefully planned the events of The Clone Wars to make him doubt the Jedi Order, to see manipulate him into believing that he is the only person that understands the young Jedi Knight and to finally ensnare him by offering him a way to prevent Padmé from dying through the Dark Side. He played into the young man's feelings and use them to his own plot of ruling the Galaxy. Anakin's desire to save the ones he love, would also be Sidious downfall as when he failed to turn his son Luke over and attempted to kill him in vengeance, blinded him to realize that this would make Anakin come back to turn against him and throwing him down to his doom in the Death Star reactor.

      @@BiriBiri925Noooooo that's so wrong. The dark side is what brings the force out of balance. It's a plague basically. It corrupts anyone who touches it. The Banite sith line became so powerful the force literally willed a being into existence because they were nigh unstoppable. The force isn't a Yin and Yang situation. A lot of people think it is because of the games and other outside source material, but that's not exactly accurate.

      Perspectively and taking episode 9 into account, one could say that Palpatine was transferring her life essence into Vader to save him. Not that its said or anything. Only to allude to it. But given the artistic nature of the Vader suit/padme's birthing scene, as Vader rises, Padme dies simultaneously. One could say it just symbolizes that as Padme dies, so too does Anakin, and from that Vader is truely born.

    This is why the loss of Qui-Gon was so significant that Anakin didn’t need a brother or a master or an order of emotionally detached monks. Qui-Gon was against this philosophy and would have ensured that Anakin would have been adequately cared for.

    • @Chrysobubulle
      @Chrysobubulle 19 днів тому

      Exactly. Im always amazed that Obi Wan has this image of a wise jedi, when he was a terrible master to Anakin. He was actually exactly the kind of tutor NOT suited to care for Anakin. Cold, keeping a distance, always criticizing, following to the letter the council way of doing things. In the Phantom Menace, it seems Obi Wan is almost jealous of Anakin receiving the attention of Qui Gon. And he clearly states being against training the boy, since that’s the opinion of the council.
      The only reason Obi Wan agrees to train Anakin is born of his respect to the authority of his elders, in this case he just obeys to his master dying wish.
      But himself would not have wanted that otherwise.

      @@nashbutler The theory you speak of here that it was necessary to kill all the Jedi to balance the force is not what George Lucas confirmed and seems to have been debunked. You see, the jedi is not an imbalance of the force. Sure, they are an order of odd rules and chokes their jedi into living a life of denying their feelings, and they can certainly be partially held responsible for Anakin's fall because of that, but the Force does not deem the Jedi an imbalance, because they are more balanced in the force than the sith in pretty much every aspect. It is the sith, any sith, that disrupts the balance of the force. Anakin becoming Vader was more of a setback and actually delayed Anakin's destiny as the chosen one to fulfill the prophecy by killing one of the most powerful siths ever, Darth Sideous.
      There's a difference between the sith and the dark side of the force, though. The dark side of the force is very real, but it is real independently from the sith. Whereas the light is selfless, the dark side is self-interested, but the sith, who perverts everything that is of the force, including their lightsaber crystals which are even synthetic, are not supposed to exist at all. Therefore, Darth Vader only increased the imbalance and furthered it until he became Anakin again and ultimately fulfilled the prophecy.
