Importance of Childhood Immunizations

Physicians, nurses, educators and healthcare providers with the Parent Information Network took part in a press conference on January 28, 2016, at Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to highlight the importance of childhood immunizations, share remarkable new data released by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services showing that waiver rates plummeted by more than 39% statewide in 2015, and to urge lawmakers in Lansing to reject dangerous legislation that would repeal Michigan's recent immunization waiver reforms that have led to the significantly increased childhood immunization rate in Michigan. News conferences were also held in Lansing, Southfield and Traverse City.
